Amanar Marrakech Boutique Hotel & Riad

Amanar riad was in a super location, we walked to absolutely all the main sights and the best restaurants. Hassan was a super host, kind, informative, extremely helpful and accommodating. We thought the Riad was tastefully decorated, very clean, and we felt it was a quiet, calm oasis in comparison to the very busy noisy streets of the Medina! The 6am call to prayer is quite loud, but we actually loved to hear it and felt that it was good to be part of the culture… you could always wear earplugs if it was too early for a wake up call! The breakfasts each morning were fresh and tasty and a great way to start the day. We had an early excursion one morning and Hassan was kind enough to ensure that we had a breakfast before we left even though it was outside of the usual breakfast times. All in all a super stay and would highly recommend for an immersive Moroccan experience.

Fantastic Riad in the heart of town. Great location in close walking distance of the markets, and fantastic restaurants. Hassan and the team go above and beyond and really make you feel welcome. Room was great with lots of space and the breakfast & tea every morning was perfect. Highly recommend a quiet and relaxing place to stay when visiting the city.

It is a really beautiful place. The staff is very helpful. We also really liked the breakfast. Everything felt cosy.
I recommend it for anyone who is looking for an oriental escape and who is into all things beautiful. The hotel is genuinely like an oasis in the middle of a loud city. It is however probably not the best hotel for someone with kids, or someone who has trouble falling asleep after being woken up at night, because there is a loud call to prayer from a mosque just nearby (the mosque’s muezzin seems to have a bad mic and/or not really the best voice) and it will 100% wake you up early in the morning. Some people enjoy it, some not, so it is all a matter of taste and what you are looking for in your stay. We personally felt that it was part of the experience, and we know that it will make a nice memory.
Overall, Amanar is a very pleasant place. We loved it, and we recommend it.

We had an incredible stay at Amanar. Hassan couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The riad and rooms were beautiful with such attention to detail, and the breakfast was equally as good. The riad was central and everything in the medina was within walking distance. We can't wait to come back to Marrakech and wouldn't hesitate to stay in Amanar again.

Very nice secluded riad in a great central location. The host speaks fluent English and German and is very friendly.
The rooms are beautiful. The service is great. And the breakfast was also lovely.
The place is serene in the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s in fact so quiet that if your fellow guests are also quiet you’ll enjoy it, if not you can hear a needle drop so might be disturbing. Not a place for small kids. The small pool was still too cold so we did not use it.

I had the most magical stay at Amanar this past week. With the most welcoming team, inviting rooms and next level food — this was the exactly winter escape I was hoping for.
Amanar is set in a great location near to the palace, perfect for walking around and near to many great restaurants.
The hotel is creatively designed with each room having its in style I ADORED the room I was staying in with calm atmosphere, very comfortable details and I was lucky to have a fireplace in this particular room perfect for making evenings especially cosy.
My absolute favourite detail was the food with their memorable breakfast that were made vegan for me using good quality ingredients put together in a way that tasted amazing and made with so much care. I also had dinner which included a spread of vegetable dishes, again made to perfection.
I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and I can’t wait to go back!

Hasan was a superb host we loved every minute of our stay at Amanar. The pricing was great and the location was fabulous, right next to the royal palace and the souk, everything was within walking distance and all very accessible. Our room was super cute and well appointed with beautiful linen a really comfy bed. Everything was beautifully designed, colourful, luxurious and all the little touches were delightful. The riad was really well maintained, and run, and was extremely quiet which, surprised us as it’s so close to the action. Breakfast was included in our stay and was absolutely delicious, the perfect start to every day. There is a sweet little swimming pool in the middle that would be wonderful in the summer months. Would highly recommend staying here, we will be back for sure.

Our stay at Amanar was nothing short of excellent. We were greeted and taken care by the sweetest hosts — Hassan and Katharina, who went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms are beautifully designed, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. The Riad itself is located in a safe area within walking distance to the souks. We loved our stay here and would definitely be back!

Amanar is an absolutely magical place created by wonderful, warm-hearted people. From the very first moment, you can feel the atmosphere – everything is wrapped in tranquility, beautiful light, and a vibe that simply can’t be replicated. Every detail is crafted with incredible care, from the handmade elements to the décor that you just can’t stop photographing.
The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and designed with a great sense of aesthetics. The pool offers perfect relaxation, and the breakfasts… just delicious – fresh, full of flavor, and served with heart. There is also excellent communication with the owners, who are helpful, open, and truly care about their guests.
Amanar also has a fantastic location – right in the heart of the Medina, which makes it the perfect base for exploring the city while still feeling peaceful and safe once you step inside.
This is a place you want to return to. It has something special – a kind of energy that makes you feel like you’re in a second home, only more beautiful. If you’re looking for peace, aesthetics, and genuine hospitality, Amanar will be a perfect choice.

Amanar is a beautiful Riad — calm and peaceful and is being beautifully restored by Hasan. One great advantage of this Riad is that a taxi can leave you to the door — as many others are down narrow laneways and difficult to find. Amanar is decorated using the finest traditional moroccan skills and the rooms are beautifully furnishe and spotlessly clean. Hasan is a very welcoming host and was happy to recommend places to eat. The breakfast served in the courtyard is delicious. The location is excellent with only a short walk to the Secret Garden and the Souks. I look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Riad. Hasan was a fantastic host. The room was stylish and beautifully furnished and the building has been restored using traditional moroccan skills. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Le Jardin Secret and the souks yet totally quiet inside. Easy to get taxis to further locations just outside the door. The breakfast every morning was delicious — I look forward to my next visit.
