The rooftop is so dirty and when asked if someone would clean it or even just give clean towels, it never happened. Bathrooms all had something broken: toilets, taps hanging off the walls, some showers only boiling hot, others only cold water, cracks in the toilet, leaking sinks. The kitchen upstairs was ran by one lady — it was not supposed to be open to guests but we ended up cutting our own fruit that we had to buy because their idea of breakfast was a basket of bread and some cakes that came from a package. We were there on a yoga retreat and had previously asked for fruit even months before arriving. To top it off — bed linen was not always clean and took days to get fresh sheets. Towels were only given when asked and again it took days. One girl had a stinking wet towel on her bed… made into a swan but still dirty and wet. Why?! Manager sits there smoking + leaves a mess in to space where people are supposed to get their first impression of a beautiful riad… hmmm. He was friendly but honestly felt like he was more interested in smoking + chatting with all the girls than resolving the issues with the riad. The riad could be nice but it's just not been looked after. With some attention + money spent to make things cleaner/functioning and some better management I think this could be much better value. I have asked for a refund for part of this trip as felt it was over priced for what was actually delivered and definitely not matching the description. We rented the whole riad so we have had a full experience of every room + public space. Just such a shame. If we wouldn’t have paid in advance on air bnb we would have found somewhere else. The host on air bnb responded saying that our expectations were too high and that we are horrible people… so this gives you an idea of what to expect if you ask for a clean towel and a working shower!
