Beautiful ocean view superior room. Good breakfast, stunning terrace and great location within the medina and oceanfront.

Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful room also with limited direct sea view. The staff is super nice and attentive. It just fits everything. We were there with a child and were absolutely thrilled.
We came as guests and drove as friends. Happy to return!

I loved my stay here! I will definitely come back again and recommend it to my family and friends. I had a sea view and it was breathtaking. The food was delicious and the roof terrace is such a relaxed place to read, have a drink or just chill out and enjoy the sea view!

Very elegant, restored lobby in this riad. The rooms, while showing some age, have an amazing view of the ocean as its built in the city walls. The terrace is a nice place for breakfast or tea or just watching the waves crash on the rocks. Some rooms on third floor are noisy as people above move their chairs on the brick floor of the breakfast room.

Beautiful riad with ocean view!

Superb riad well placed in the medina at the edge of the ocean but inaccessible by car. An elevator is planned for 2018.

Excellent beds make for a great hotel and they've got them! We are staying in a junior suite that overlooks the ocean and sleep with the windows wide open hearing the sounds of the crashing sea against the seawall directly under the hotel. You look down on the ramparts below and the sea is only a few feet away. The included breakfast comes with various breads, yogurt. Coffee, tea, honey and Jan plus a hard boiled egg and orange juice. It is fresh squeezed and lives up to the Moroccan traditional excellence. The fourth floor has a great restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed the rack of lamb for dinner. The prices are great, the staff are all wonderful and I wish we were staying here longer. Only downside is that free Internet in the hotel is slow compared to many other countries, but I think that is beyond their control and more a factor of the Internet Service Providers I'm the area. highly recommend.

A truly gem of a Riad. Located in the Medina in an amazing location was this beautiful establishment. The view from the bedroom window was breathtaking. Excellent service from the staff and good breakfast too made for a wonderful 2 night stay.

The receptionists are sometimes not attendant and do not always speak english, alsoproblems in our room were mot fixed although we tojd them again and again and they promised to send aomeone.

Wonderful place. All the furnishings are in Moroccan style. The Ocean View Room is a living experience. Very good food and friendly staff Five stars you deserve!

Amazing riad one of the best in essaouira.

I came here with a larger student group and the staff was always caring and helpful to us. I had great conversations in my very basic Darija with the super cool doorman. Amazing view from my room as well as beautiful stars from the roof. 5/5.

A little dated but friendly staff and good breakfast.

Such a nice place! We got the room with a sea view and it's the best we've ever had. The Riad is located well, most of the things you want are within 15 mins walk — as is the beach. The staff are friendly and the rooftop terrace / restaurant has epic views of the coastline and crashing waves along to rocks.

Beautiful room, overlooking the sea. Somewhat dated character with charm. All of the decoration of the Riad is an exquisite taste with attention to detail. Good restaurant and terrace trying to protect from the wind. Location in the Medina, quiet. Restrictions: no elevator, and the Restaurant is on the 4th floor. Upstairs, the rooms with sea views are very dark and have no view. Therefore a Riad-Hotel larger than a "normal" Riad.

Medium. Breakfast and the service is not very. Makes sense only in the rooms with sea view. In the room with seaview no fridge and glasses.

I feel mixed about this review. When we arrived the front desk were not particularly helpful. They seemed confused about our booking (perhaps they didn't have it) and asked for a print out of our reservation. I showed an email from the site, which I then had to forward to them to then print out. It all seemed rather unnecessary. The first room we were given was not great. It was small and smelt like bleach. The bathroom was tiny and the shower overflowed. Also, the room faced the central courtyard and was very loud. After the first night, I complained and was told that the hotel was full so we couldn't move. I checked this website and it turned out that the hotel wasn't full as I could have booked another room. I mentioned this to the front desk but they said they were full. The next day they managed to move us to a new room (a suite), which was much nicer. There were floor to celling windows (one had a big crack) and a large bathroom. Unfortunately, it was on the 3rd floor and under the dining room and we could hear everything going on upstairs. Overall I wouldn't stay here again. The hotel is is OK condition but could do with some close attention to detail. The smell of bleach is a turn off as are the state of the showers.
