This hotel has all the potential to be excellent, but falls short on a number of points. Apart from the front desk the hotel appears to be short staffed… What staff there are are not particularly client oriented. Why serve guests in the bar when you are having a fun time with people sat at the bar? The weirdest thing about the hotel is that the housekeeping staff are compelled to remove the room towels every day, but are loathed to replace them! The carpets in the corridors are worn and in need of a clean. Our bathroom had broken tiles and discolored grouting. My husband found a dusty old sock under his bed. Despite arriving well after check-in time, late in the afternoon, we still had to wait for 1 hour for our room.

A warm welcome. Friendly, caring hosts. The Marshall tajines to rise up at night. And the voices, the guitars and the percussion to accompany these magical moments. We are with family and share lots of beautiful experiences in this place.

Very nice hotel. Staff are friendly, pool area is peaceful. Piano Bar is a good place to end the evening after walking back from the Medina.

Super luxury hotel, a perfect location next to the beach, it's just awesome (the girls at the reception are so nice). Essaiuira in general is a very beautiful and calme city with a very kind people.

Car deserves a coup de neuf, the lobby is ugly and scary, the breakfast is worthy of the worst canteens, the spa not very welcoming and expensive, unheated pool, the rooms not top…
There is surely better in Essaouira for this price.

Super hotel right across the street from the beach and a quick walk to the medina. Our stay here was simple, the rooms were clean and we had no issues whatsoever. So nice to be able to open the windows and hear the waves crashing and wake up to the beautiful views of beach and area. We had a great time in Essaouira and hope to be returning soon.

Good hotel for night and good dinner.

For Moroccan standards a very good hotel, right on the beach with a private beach. There is also a bar with alcoholic drinks. Beer is available from approx. 7, €50 – not cheap, legal!

Airco not working, TV not working, bathroom with water problems. Looks nice but quality very low. To avoid.

The place is very nice, the rooms spacious and the staff is very helpful and friendly, they all greet you and are good vibes. Always attentive to see if you need anything. At the reception they speak very good Spanish.
The hotel has three restaaurantes and two bars (one in the pool). Obviously there is free Wi-Fi that works perfect in the lobby, restaurants and patio but it hardly works in the rooms.
I recommend the hotel to anyone who comes.

Hotel is tired and run down, needs a lot of maintenance. Our bedroom was shabby. Stains on carpets. Scuffed walls. Broken furniture. Buffet breakfast was poor.

With its exceptional beachfront location and facing the mythical island of Mogador, the Hotel Atlas Essaouira & Spa is only a few blocks from the ramparts of Essaouira.

I'd define it as correct. It is a hotel that was wonderful at the time but it is already a bit old and needs remodeling and better cleanliness. All in all it's OK but you can expect more than 5 stars. Very poor breakfast.

Extremely disappointing to the quality of reception staff and room. First of all, reception staff arranges a non-check out room for us and ideal it with impatience. Secondly, the problem of the new room were sink leaked and no TV signal. It doesn’t deserve five star at all.

Totally disaster, we get a room that last customer’s luggage and all the stuffs were still in there. What if people still inside? Please don’t let it happen again, it feels really bad.

Hotel very quiet is clean very close to the beach and a 10 min walk to the city center.

Well located opposite the island of Mogador and thus a bit far from the city center. Comfortable, spacious, quiet. Staff very attentive and very nice. Room A small downside on the soundproofing between the floors. Overall very good establishment.

Very good welcome the servers are to small care for the guests. Well-located hotel facing the sea. On foot we can go without problem to the Medina.

Its like a Picasso. Good from afar, but far from good. Slow service, not 100% clean bathroom, average massage in the spa, omlette served as scrambled eggs. But has potential to be very good!

Honestly this hotel barely deserves half a star, for the comfortable bed maybe. A room with a view on the ocean but not very clean regarding its a luxury hotel. No private beach like its mentionned. It was a beach with free access to public. A horrible service, I had to ring the reception every time I wanted to order food because room service was not picking up and then wait for ages again for the room service to ring me back like the staff in the reception always promised. Then wait for the food to be served, to finally find ants in the food. Yummy! They called me from the hotel at 7 am and woke me up to finally realize that they wanted to call someone else. Can this be any more professional? The cleaner that opens the door and goes inside the room straight away. I was so dissapointed because this hotel is nothing like 5 stars hotel and the prices are pretty expensive. I swore I will never go back to essaouira because of this horrible hotel.

Not the best for the price. I would say lower average. You get nothing in the room not even a small bottle of water!?!? absolotely a no go. The internet connection is really a joke, it took me 15 min to connect and write this. I got much better hotels for less money. Not recommended.

Mediocre hotel, Wi-Fi ok, service ok, hygiene so-so, meals not good. More like 3 stars, EU scale.

Initially lost my booking, then when were given the room they claim that they had upgraded is, but it was the room we booked. No towels in the room, no bathrobes, no water or tea making facilities I have a three year old son so they give us a room above the bar where music was playing until 11pm, when we complained the front house manager refused to do any thing stating the music will be off soon and kids here don't sleep until late 5 star? I don't think so.

We had a great time in the hotel. The food was good and the facilities are in good condition. The inventory in the rooms were already quite used. We were lucky to receive an upgrade to sea view and I need to say, the view is amazing and well worth it.

I am rather disappointed and disguised with the service and sheer arrogance of the front desk employee. By 3pm after a return my room was not cleaned I called the front see ask for assistance and the staff there was rude actually very rude. I asked for a manager but no manager was on duty, told she is on break. Anyway he called her she mentioned she was no lunch and will get back to me after an hour she never did. I assure you that the RIADS offer you better service and are much more caring. You get a welcome drink, you feel special they provide you water each day at this 5 star establishment you get nothing. My suggestion bring you maid along with you to clean you room. No coffee or tea in room, no water no kettle. Just basic not 5 star.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in late November 2015. I was able to get a discounted price due to it being off-season which significantly reduced the price. This is a high quality hotel. From the doormen to the receptionists to the cleaners, all staff were extremely well trained and professional. The decor of the hotel is excellent and whilst there are few small bits and pieces that could be improved (the odd stain in the corridor carpets), I would disagree with other reviews that have said the place is looking a bit tired. The room was excellent. The bed area and bathroom were spacious and well designed. The room comes with a large flat screen TV and a very comfortable couch. There didn’t sem to be any English langauge channels on the TV that I could find but frankly, you should probably be outside if you are in Morocco for a holiday. The location is good. You are a little walk from the heart of Essaouira but it’s literally 10-12 mins from the South gates of the Medina area. There are also a few excellent restaurants nearby and a large Carrefour about 15 mins away.

Nice Hotel directly, only by the little driven on road separately, on the 'endless' was located. Good Breakfast Buffet and Pool area.

Very poor but expensive hotel. There hotel entry hall looks nice but the rooms are poorly maintained. During the night, there was a of noise, making a good night of sleep impossible. People were singing, chairs were being moved and there was a lot of construction noise in the middle of the night coming from the room above! After 2 days we notified the manager at 3 AM to stop the noise. The clerk eventually came to our room with a spray can of perfume? The next morning the manager denied the fact there was construction going on, and there were only guests in the hotel. Anyway, the room above was cleared we were promised. We were offered to switch rooms and a free half hour treatment in the spa. Like that would solve anything?! The 3rd night at 2 AM someone started using a power drill! Unbelievable, this was ridiculous. The manager was obviously lying to us. The next morning we decided to leave. We asked the manager for a refund or discount, because we were hoping to relax and come to rest, but we were leaving tired and irritated. However the manager did not offer us anything and just left us with the full bill. DON'T spend your money here. Go somewhere else. I guess this is the reason why the hotel is only occupied for 1/3rd.

You need a manager horeca. Wifi totally inoperative Television channels inexplucables.

Internet flakey throughout even with hotel only 1/3 full. Aircon in my room doesn't work properly. The staff were nice, but overall I'd say it's a typically soulless large marble clad hotel…

Too much noise! The restoration is zero, with the exception of breakfast. The best rooms are on the side of sea. But unfortunately the road too. There are poor insulation of the windows!
The pool is spacious, but the bar/snack bar does not work! No installation allows to get away for a lunch leger, who is brought to you from the inside bar of the hotel!
Noisy staff, who wakes you up eight hours of the morning, while neighboring rooms!
. Well, no, I'm on vacation and I want to enjoy a sleep unlikely!
Politeness and the friendliness of the staff, overall are to remember.

Staff pulls the face and never says Hello decoration and ugly and the "heated" pool is frozen (about 13 ° C) but the beds are comfortable.

Fantastic suite beachfront room. It eats very well at the hotel. Good try, friendly and very attentive at all times. We will return.

Was there with bad cold weather, rain. Spa, good hammam and massages.

Hotel n has not only the value of a 5 stars it is just well decorated.
