Awesome adventure stay in a grotto home. Great location in the old town. Owner is super friendly and on hand if anything is needed.

Pure, untouched, absolutely non-touristy experience that feels like stepping out of the world entirely.
Access is easy — you can drive right up and park about 15 meters from the entrance.
Inside, the cave feels raw and deeply authentic — not damp and cramped like some reviews suggest, but naturally cool and surprisingly comfortable, especially with the humidifier going. It goes deep, and the silence is on another level. There’s no foot traffic, no crowds, no artificial “experience-making” — just the cave, you, and reality dialed way down.
The food is good — generous portions. We couldn’t finish it all, even though we wanted to.
And the hosts? Real, grounded, welcoming people. No performance, no tourist-trap vibe — just genuine hospitality and helpful.
If you want polish and curated perfection, this isn’t your place. But if you’re searching for something real, quiet, untouched, and truly one-of-a-kind, Grottes Thami delivers an unique experience.

Guys it’s a freaking cave… it’s not going to be your panoramic jungle lodge with constant breeze and seeping sunlight… so get over that or don’t come. The cave wasn’t as damp as others said though and actually quite fresh as long as the humidifier is one.
But as far as cave experiences go…. One of a kind. The cave goes Deep and truly feels immersive like your blocked from the world…
The food was excellent and abundant… especially for what we paid (and compared to other options in the area) I was surprised… we couldn’t finish all of it but still wanted to.
And the hosts are very accommodating, kind understanding and just good no fuss people. You need it, they will get it.
