Completely unacceptable experience and disgraceful staff behavior.
We were unable to access the hotel because the road was blocked, despite having paid a very expensive stay in advance. Instead of offering any assistance, alternatives, or even basic professionalism, the situation was made far worse by the man who answered the phone on December a15th at around 6:00 PM.
This individual spoke very disrespectfully and aggressively to my wife, showed zero empathy, and refused to propose any solution whatsoever. No attempt was made to help, reroute us, contact management, or even speak politely. The tone was arrogant, dismissive, and frankly shocking for someone working in hospitality.
When you charge premium prices, you are expected to provide basic customer service, especially in exceptional circumstances. Being blocked from reaching a hotel you’ve already paid for is bad enough — being treated with contempt on top of that is unacceptable.
This review is not about the location or the infrastructure, but specifically about the man handling phone calls at that time. His behavior alone is enough to make us regret this booking entirely.
Until this hotel addresses its staff’s attitude and professionalism, I strongly advise travelers to think twice before booking. No customer should ever be treated this way.

My stay at Michlifen Resort & Golf was unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine hospitality that reflects the true spirit of Morocco. The design of the resort blends Alpine charm with Moroccan luxury, creating a warm and refined atmosphere in every corner.
The staff were exceptional — attentive, respectful, and always eager to ensure the highest level of comfort. The rooms are beautifully furnished with breathtaking forest views, adding to the serenity of the experience.
The spa, heated indoor pool, and golf course are among the best in the region. Dining at the resort was another highlight; each meal was a perfect balance of flavor, creativity, and presentation.
Set in the peaceful surroundings of Ifrane, the resort offers the perfect escape from city life.
A true gem — I highly recommend Michlifen to anyone seeking luxury, relaxation, and an unforgettable stay.

Spectacular! Must see it to believe it. We came for coffee and dessert in the lobby restaurant and explored the property, which was decorated for Halloween, and completely adorable. Do not miss this Oasis!

My stay at Michlifen Resort was exceptional. The hotel combines luxury, comfort, and elegance in a stunning setting. The staff were attentive and professional, and the atmosphere was peaceful and refined. A truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend.

I stayed at the hotel over a weekend, needed to relax and boy did I pick the right spot. I showed up on Friday and booked Hammam and massage.
1. I had never had Hammam, so I had a lot of questions. The front desk spa receptionist Khaouha was super sweet and took her time explaining everything. She never tried to upsell me (that I noticed) and had a permanent smile on her face.
2. The Hammam, WOW! I have never felt so pampered and clean in my life. Kawthar made sure to walk me through every part of the process. She never made me feel uncomfortable. She was professional, thorough, and always cognizant of my feelings. It can be tough being nude in front of another woman other than your wife, but she was perfection to work with. Thank You Kawthar!
3. After Hammam, I went for a massage. Rajae handled herself like a true pro, by ensuring she did not use too much pressure, after my skin had just been scrubbed during Hammam. Again, the massage was phenomenal, I actually fell asleep at one point which had never happened to me before. If you have the chance, run don’t walk to Michlifen Spa! I am going back before I leave, just to enjoy the service one more time!

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was unpleasant and highly unprofessional. Three staff members treated us with obvious rudeness and demanded immediate payment right after we placed our order, in a way that made us feel unwelcome. We were also told not to take photos without any clear explanation, even though we weren’t.
Disturbing anyone. Worst of all, one of the waiters took a tip without our permission, which is completely disrespectful and unacceptable. The overall behavior fell far below any basic standards of hospitality or respect. I sincerely hope hotel management addresses the staff’s attitude and improves the level of service. ”

“Disappointed by the Service at Michlifen Hotel”
While Michlifen Hotel is undeniably beautiful and set in a breathtaking location, my overall experience was unfortunately disappointing. What could have been a wonderful stay was marred by the behavior of certain staff members.
In particular, one employee at the pool area acted unprofessionally, and a young man from the service team was noticeably rude and disrespectful. This kind of treatment was unexpected and took away from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
I had high hopes for this hotel, especially given its stunning setting, but the level of service did not meet expectations. I truly hope the management takes guest feedback seriously and works on improving staff conduct—this exceptional location deserves a hospitality experience to match.

My partner and I came here with friends for a golfing and leisure holiday. We had a wonderful time at the hotel. It is an extraordinary hotel in many ways. It is set in a lush green area of Ifrane, and is surrounded by nature reserves and parks. The look of the hotel is that of a grand Swiss lodge and inside it's sumptuous, charming and spacious. The dark leather furniture everywhere and wood panelling gives the hotel a warm and welcoming feel. We found our room more than adequate and it was great to have a huge comfortable bed. We slept very well throughout our stay. The staff were great and a special mention for Noureddine at reception who was very helpful throughout our stay. Occasionally, there were communication issues with one or two members of staff, possibly from a lack of training, but this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the hotel. We ate in both main restaurants and the food was good, as was the breakfast. We also played golf during our stay at the Michlifen golf course, which was just a short shuttle bus drive away, (the shuttle bus was laid on by the hotel). The facilites and the course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, were excellent. An added bonus was the good weather, which was gloriously sunny virtually every day with temperatures around 24 to 26 degrees Celsius. We also got the chance to visit Fez for the day and we went on a tour of the Ifrane National Park. All in all, we had a fabulous time and are planning to come back in September.

Great stay, love it. One comment I didn't feel comfortable when the check in lady asks me and my wife for ID and Marriage certificate. Asking for only the IDs would be nicer, IDs have the same addresses on them, also we could be foreigners. It is a Small sensitive situation asking for Marriage certificate from first look that could be handled differently. Other than that all is great, we enjoyed our time there.

This place truly deserves seven stars. However, I am awarding it only one star due to the shortcomings of higher management, who are evidently detached from the day-to-day operations. The staff are making every effort and are exceptionally friendly. The location and the building itself are magnificent. Yet, the overall business operation lacks attention to detail and fresh ideas.
Seating areas and their associated services are poorly organized, without a coherent understanding of visitor needs. Guests must frequently ask staff for guidance on where to sit and whether an area is designated for drinks or dining, as well as information regarding restaurant timings. Prices are typical for an establishment of this caliber; however, the value delivered does not correspond to the cost. For instance, a simple portion of French fries is priced at $6, served in a small bowl with a meager quantity (perhaps 50 grams), fried in what appears to be used oil, resulting in a taste far from fresh, high-quality fries.
Upon inquiry, I discovered that the hotel is owned by a government entity, which perhaps explains the lethargy and complacency evident in management over recent years. There is hope that the new management team from the UAE (2024) might introduce a much-needed revitalization of service quality — something I have witnessed even in far lower-rated hotels in the UAE.
My review stems purely from witnessing such an extraordinary venue being squandered by poor leadership.

I visited the resort lounge to enjoy some tea, coffee, and Moroccan pastries. The space is beautifully designed with a luxurious ambiance. The tea was good, and the cappuccino was enjoyable, while the Americano was quite normal — nothing special. The pastries were also good. However, I didn’t like that smoking is allowed indoors, which affected the comfort of the experience. The music was a bit too loud, making it hard to fully relax. In addition, the service was slow, as only one staff member was taking orders and serving all guests.

The hotel is stunningly decorated, the welcome is warm, the service is professional, the food is delicious and the diverse amenities enable all family members to enjoy the activities they like whether spa or sports (the courts in the omnisport building are impressive! 🤩).
Huge thanks to Mr Noureddine and all the team who made our family stay memorable. It was a home away from home for a couple of days for a much needed rest.

Price is over & the receptionist man was not welcoming us.
He deal with us like he do not care if we will book or no!
I was with my wife & daughters coming from Dubai for a tour in Morocco cities.
Did not book & went booking in another hotel.
Will not come back again.
But I love the place looking amazing.

I was really impressed by the place. The hotel itself has such a welcoming and relaxed vibe. But what really stood out to me was the view – it’s absolutely breathtaking! Whether you're sitting inside or outside, the scenery is stunning and really adds to the whole experience. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the beautiful surroundings. I’ll definitely be coming back just to enjoy the view again.

The hotel is in the same style as the wooden cabins. It gives a kind of warmth and calm. The lobby is large and spacious, and you can do more than one activity in the hotel. The view is stunning. The staff are kind and helpful. I highly recommend it.

I came twice in the past 2 months and I don’t regret it. This hotel is unique because of the architecture, the atmosphere but also because you have a very good service. You can enjoy outdoor or action sports. An amazing spa, 2 swimming pools and 2 restaurants with different cuisine.
