Riad Arabesque & Spa

I had a wonderful time at Riad Arabesque in Fes. It is just the most beautiful hotel. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the attention to detail is really incredible. Set in the heart of Fes walking distance to the souks. Amazing food and really welcoming staff as well as really helpful. A great hotel for relaxing!

Ilyas and the rest of the team delivered an exceptional service, responding to our requests promptly and courteously. We opted for half board which I would highly recommend as the dinner was a delight. Varying from tajines to méchoui in a background of live oud music, this was a wonderful experience that I was looking forward to after a day in the Medina.
There were not many bookings around the time we went, which helped in having a restful time. However, I can imagine the noise level being quite high if more people are around during the night.
Overall the Riyad was a beautiful place to stay with a comfortable room and great service and very close to the medina. I would highly recommend staying here during less busy periods.

The worst place ever, I’ve never seen a horrible place like this, no services at all, no one to receive the clients in the reception, the clients have to carry their bags for more than 100 stair steps.
In the room there is no safe box, no towels, nothing is working, like the shower, the electric plugs, the water basin … even the windows are not closing, and the air is coming in the room.
Breakfast is a part of this disaster. The food is cold, crystal clear that it is from the day before.
This is a small part of what we’ve seen here, I can’t imagine that respectable authorities like the Moroccan can accept what these people are doing to the tourism in Morocco, they are killing it.
My advice is that even if your invited for here for free. Stay at home, it’s much better.

At first sight this hotel may seem impressive but it really is a decadent palace, with poor maintenance and a great need for renovations. The rooms are decrepit. They only look good in photos.
When we asked for help to bring food from the outside (because the menu only has Moroccan options and we’ve been eating the same things for one week), the owner told us arrogantly it wasn’t their problem and we had to eat it in our room. How unpolite do you have to be to not even help your guests?
Around us, there’s only the medina where you can get lost very easely, and you don’t venture yourself very far on your own. So we felt obligated to eat in — the same food.
The staff is really nice, though.
Do not recommend to stay here.

Great food and exceptional service. The atmosphere was traditional with a modern spin. Out of all the restaurants I visited in Fez this definitely it definitely takes the cake. I had the a really nice. The bar has a nice variety of drinks from which to choose from as well.

Amazing Riad with stunning restaurant. Decor and ambience outstanding, food sublime and service amazing. A totally wonderful experience and will certainly return Thank you to Khalid and team. If you are in Fes it's worth the effort to escape to this quieter area close to Bab Guissa.

We arrived very late in the night, but we were still met by the very welcoming staff, and they served us tea and sweat pastry on the terrace. Very nice after a long drive. The hotel is a gorgeous building with lots of beautiful details and artifacts everywhere. The roof top terrace seemed to be under renovation, and I think it will be amazing when it's done, beautiful view to the medina! The breakfast is fantastic, lots of food and delicious orange juice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a spacious room with three beds, bathroom could have been cleaner when we arrived, but was not really dirty, and it was cleaned better during our stay. Wi-Fi was quite slow. But in total we had a great stay and would love to come back! Great value for money.

During a tour of Morocco we stopped here for dinner. The home is magnificent. The dining area overlooked Fes Medina and the stunning surrounding city and hills. Food delicious. The family owner greeted us and made us feel as though we stepped into another place and time.

The place is amazing and the owners are very helpful! We asked for a guide and they provided us with a person that was very nice, with a great historical knowledge speaking in English and French. I strongly recommend him! The whole personnel was very nice and responsive.
The breakfast is just to die for!
The place is in Medina, about 20 minutes from the center, but it is a nice walk. You can also take a Petite Taxi to the Blue Gate, that is not very expensive.

Flamboyant decor and a truly photogenic place. The people running the riad are lovely and friendly, service is beautiful. But I can't recommend staying here. The riad's terrace faces a colossal construction site that doesn't look like it will be finished anytime soon. Plus, there's nowhere to enjoy the winter sun as the roof terrace is unusable and their balcony is shaded from 11am. Rooms are small, dark, and cramped. Broken bathroom hook, wobbly faucets, open shower that drowns the whole bathroom. The kind of 'opulent surface but drab and tired under the surface' that's common with many riads. The food menu is the usual overpriced tourist-aimed fare. The biggest con for us was the location, however. The riad is in the least appealing corner of the medina, a good 20 min walk through dark and desolate alleyways to reach restaurants and cafés. I'd recommend staying nearer the southwest, if you'd like to stroll of an evening.
