Hotel Batha

Very good located-entry to old medina is really close. Quite aged hotel, but well maintained, when compared to many others in Morocco. Staff at reception is very welcoming, the bar staff is a bit slower and not that kind.

The room is very basic. It doesn’t even have a small table nor a chair to sit on, which was very annoying. The hotel is located in a busy area and in the rooms you hear much noise from people and traffic outside. It’s not a very safe area.
The worst thing of the rooms is that they’re extremely cold, close to freezing point. You have to try and get th room warm with the heating (which is the same unit as the air conditioner) but that way you have constant wind blowing into the room, which isn’t pleasant. Also the dining room is extremely cold and you have to keep your jacket on while eating there.
Wi-Fi is okay. There is only one French channel on the television, no other European channels and the TV is functioning poorly.
Rooms are clean. The thing that isn’t very hygienic is that there are real blankets on the bed and because of the cold you do have to use the blankets, otherwise you’ll freeze.
The doors of the rooms are old and broken and have huge holes in them. When you are in the hall you can easily look into the rooms through the wholes in the doors, which doesn’t make you feel very safe.
There is no safe in the room nor a hair dryer. You can borrow a hair dryer from reception.
People at reception are friendly.
Breakfast buffet didn’t offer that much choice. Dinner was okay.

Lovely hotel and very kind staff. I highly recommend this place for a stay with family or friends, or even as a solo female traveler. Only bummer was the breakfast, you can try and add fruits or at least fresh orange juice instead of the packaged one.

Simple, modern and clean hotel, with spacious room. Efficient staff.
Room have all amenities, some with balcony.
Thought the room was facing the street, it was pretty quiet.
Network has a very bad coverage and speed, non-existent in the room.
