AMAZING! Bruno and Muhammad are the best hosts. On Wednesday and Friday they host free dinner and the food is delicious. In addition, they helped one of my friends find a tour to the Sahara Desert for a good price — she had a blast!. The breakfast was amazing. Different types of bread that you could accompany with butter, jelly or peanut butter. Our favorite was a fried bread that resembled a churro. They also served eggs, yogurt, coffee, and mint tea. They have a room to store luggage.

Best hostel in fez very recommended. We stayed here 3 night and we had good fun thank you.

Dodgy owner. I understand you get what you pay for but being bullied into put good reviews it is not acceptable.

The facilities really reflect the price (and it's one of the cheapest accommodation option in Fes). Wouldn't recommend unless you're on a super tight budget.

Very comfortable beds, every dorm has its own bathroom. We made friendship with the staff. Best place in fes for meeting backpacking travelers. Located next to place batha is the entrence to the old town.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I just felt a little reduced the space between the beds in my shared room just that! Hence all good, excellent location, attention and service!

A small, cheap and well located place to visit the medina of Fes. The most valuable thing is the site staff, who are very attentive and warm. The room was very nice and the breakfast was very good. Free breakfast is offered and many times you can also enjoy a rich taijin as a courtesy of the house. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good.

Upon arrival we were told that we cannot get the private room we booked in advance. The staff did neither really try to solve the problem nor react compassionately. We were left without somewhere to stay, frustrated and disappointed. Do yourself a favor and avoid!

Excellent hostel to enjoy Fez. Very good hosts, they give you a map, they show you the best places to go and there are tours that can be done directly with them at a good price. Perfect Hostel to meet people. Very nice full breakfast. They offer free meals certain days (on Fridays free cous cous at lunch).

We were my friend and I at BackHome and we loved the experience. The hostel is simple but clean and comfortable. The best hospitality and the people who work there, are all wonderful, we met Fatima the cook, Hamid, Mohammed, Ahmed and owner Wajih. We all made the stay in Fez as if we were in a big family. They share their food with all those who stay there, they help you in everything you need, always with a big smile and heart.
We did a two night and three day desert tour with them from Fez and it was the best, we are looking forward to having more days to get back to BackHome and back to do the desert tour, everything was super well organized and everything came out perfect. When you step into the desert you can only fall in love with the colors of silence and people.
We would love to come back with more friends and family so they can enjoy this country marvel! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Shukran Bsef!

This hostel is small but has everything you need for an intimate stay with travelers from around the world! It’s laid back vibe is great for the solo traveler or a group of friends that want to socialize with other adventurers in the shared space. The staff was friendly, the included breakfast was yummy, the Wi-Fi worked and you can’t beat the price! Waj was very accommodating in helping us with anything we needed while there!

Waj is a great and accommodating host! just ask him for something and he will help you out as best he can. Good location and good free breakfast!

Great place to meet fellow travelers as the hostel owner does a great job of creating a nice atmosphere where people often interact. I had a great stay and felt at home quickly. Also, lovely breakfast! The owner can help you organize guided tours of the medina & Sahara desert Tour which I highly recommend.

It was great stay in BackHome Fes, Very clean good location very friendly staff, they also give free dinner and lunch 3 times a week, l was there in Friday and we had big Couscous, thank guys for taking care of us, Will be back soon.

Was so nice to stay here staffs are so friendly and kind, and they let us have Moroccan lunch and dinner for free they're so yummy. That was absolutely one of the best moment in Morocco.

Loved my experience in BackHome Fez, the people was very friendly and very helpful, I spend 4 night here and they have some activities happening some days of the week like free couscous win Friday and free dinner night in Wednesday and free shisha night in Monday, I will definitely recommend you this hostel for who is looking to meet with travels around the global, Thanks Waj for looking after us.

The owner helps his friend run scams on unsuspecting guests. They will act like your friend and completely fool you if you let them. Typical Moroccan hustlers. Do NOT go here.

Fantastic hospitality and people running the hostel were extremely kind. I recieved so much information about Fes that I would have not heard about otherwise and this made my stay a lot more enjoyable. Lots of tour information available too.

Not recommendend at all. Owner helped his friend to rip us off. A guy wanted to show us the hostel but we didnt wanted to. Anyways he went with us and the owner of the hostel told us to give him money. Also dodgy atmoshpere. No windows. Sheets didnt got changed before our arrival. No toilet paper and dirty toilets. Looked at the reviews before but obvoiusly the ones one hostelbookers and hostelworld are faked. Thats why they got a high rating. Dont trust them. Spend a euro more and go somewhere else.

The hosts were lovely, extremely helpful and friendly. The hostel was in an alley just off the central medina, a great location, and felt like a nice chilled space to return to after a day exploring. we felt very comfortable and welcome there. the other reviews below seem to have been expecting more of a traditional, commercial hostel chain. If you're looking for a generic c western tourist hub then this isn't it. if you want a relaxed space and friendly locals eager to help you enjoy your stay then this place is perfect.

+ you can always meet people there, because there is not much space in the "living room", so you always can immediately start conversations +not far away from the medina — they use really aggressive pesticides in the bathroom against bugs. The bathroom is directly next to the bed, so you have this extreme smell in your face. Even through we always closed the bathroom door and even opened the room door over night, I have had a really bad reaction to this. Extreme headache and nausea the next day. Please stop using them and think about the health of your visitors! I could not get rid off the smell the next days on my stuff. — They do not clean the blankets. I could smell male sweat. So if you want to stay I would recommend to sleep in a sleepingbag. They just don't have the space to wash the blankets on a daily basis — Doors are not closeable, even not the private rooms, so better keep your precious stuff with you — Rooms and beds are more expensive, if you arrive without booking. Dorm beds cost 10-20 Dirham more, Private rooms 50 — 70 (! ) Dirham more — Staff is not always aviable, because there is no reception (We couldn't discuss the points above, because there was no one there in the evening and in the morning) I am very sorry for saying this, but this is one of the worst hostel experiences I had, when it comes to the rooms and I travelled many countries.

We booked this hostel in advance. Arrived at 5:30pm. Area was very sketchy. Street to hostel not lit; hostel itself off alley with garbage. Did not seem to be nice neighborhood. Hostel smelled badly of drain and was of questionable cleanliness, raising thoughts of potential bed bugs. However, host was very nice and accommodating. Cancelled our booking no problem and helped us get a taxi to a new hotel.
