Very well located and friendly personnel, a convivial location!

From the market, it's really hard to find. It's easier from the road. No keys for rooms. Very cozy atmosphere.

Cool and communal vibes. The building is beautiful and well decorated. Lots of offers (day trips, airport rides, cheap hostel dinners) and free breakfast! However — — it can be very loud … all of the rooms overlook or are right next to the communal hangout spaces. The rooms and bathrooms are clean but not amazing (although some of the problems, like flies, seem unavoidable in fez). Also, the staff was mostly new volunteers and it was sometimes a bit frustrating. We couldn't get a lot of information in terms of places to eat, or nearby cities or things to do because it seemed like most people just didn't know. Although they were friendly and tried to help us when they could. If you're a traveller looking for a cool and communal space, this is a good choice. Super cheap too. Great for solo and female travellers.

Coolest place to stay in Féz! The staff is so nice and helpful, the meals are great and the atmosphere amazing! Very good facilities!

Super cozy longe, free traditional breakfast. Great food can be bought for dinner for 50dhs with prior reservation at reception. Comfortable beds. There's this cute little black cat who loves cuddles.
There could be more plugs in the bedroom and in the common area.

Big spacious hostel, absolutely loved the decor. Slept in one of the dorms, they are so big and comfortable.

Its a great hostel with nice vibe and great staffs. However locals near the hostel can be annoying. However, it goes the same with other places in Morocco so simply ignore em and keep on walking. They can't harm you.

A good value for the price. The hostel has a free all you can eat traditional marocco breakfast and also offers traditional dinners for a small price. The atmosphere is good, friendly staff and the terase is big. Contrary to some other hostels in Morocco, Funky Fas also has a few heating boxes that come really handy during cold winter months. However not all was good. Most likely due to bad weather, the bed seemed wet every night. We also had problems with toilets where they sometimes didn't flush. Wifi is good in the common area, but fails in the rooms. The location is good, however we had sometimes difficulty finding our way back, because the streets are like a maze and there are no signs or working gps. All in all it was a very good hostel. I recommend it.

The truth is that we were expecting more from the hostel. The attention leaves enough to be desired (mostly compared to how they treat you in place locals), the bed was uncomfortable, the sheets were broken and the room/bathroom was not too clean (we had private room). The breakfast also leaves you wanting compared to what you serve in the riads.
On the other hand the terrace is very nice and the inner courtyard also. We were able to print the boarding passes and the tour offered by the hostel for € 5 is worth it.

Stayed there several years ago. I am happy to be alive after all that problems in the area around this hostel. The walking way to the hotel was very doggy, scary and uncomfortable. A lot of local small guys followed our group until the hotel and made us feel scary. I wrote a true review on the booking com site, but the owners of the hotel deleted it immediately. I really don't suggest this hotel and this medina at all. It is dangerous to walk around that area in the evenings, especially for women. Be very careful to stay there.

Good site, bad management.

The shower is question of luck, my first night here I was covered in sand from the Sahara and I had to take a cold shower, haha. Unforgettable. There are no charges in the room. The guy with crazy electric hair made me feel uncomfortable all the time. First he said are you gonna pay the dinner? I was still having dinner, and of course I'm gonna pay for it. Second I left my camera charging in the living room and went to my tour, I asked the girl if it was ok and she said yes. When I arrived my camera was missing, then I asked the crazy hair if he saw my camera and he said "which brand is it? " "Can you spell it for me? " I told him I can tell you all the pictures that are inside. And my camera wasn't even charged. So probably the minute I left he put it inside the cabinet. It's so many staff, and apparently they don't communicate with each other. It's the first time I feel uncomfortable in a hostel. But it's only him, everybody else is super smiley and welcoming specially Houda (not sure that's how spell it) she's the sweetest person I've ever met. Dinner is delicious. The place is beautiful and colorful. Great location. People are more in their own groups which is hard to make friends and have a great time. If you're alone I recommend the tour but if you're with someone just go walking by yourself, the tour guide loves to show off and talk about politics, instead of Fes history.

They have a/c in the room but they won't turn it on before 9pm. I was coming back with a heatstroke and tried to asked one the staff to turn it on and he refused. Its cheaper to book via Hostelworld.

Awesome and spacious hostel with beautiful decor and a unique layout. The rooftop terrace has a great view and there is dinner and mint tea available for purchase daily. Please be aware that owners/operators will direct you to particular restaurants from which they will earn a commission (if asked for recommendations).

Stayed in a dorm of 12, nice big room with lots of space so the number of people was no trouble at all. One bathroom per room, very clean and very nice shower. Air con gets turned on at 8pm and off at 8am so the rooms are nice and cool for sleeping. Great courtyard in the middle for relaxing and the Wi-Fi is great and works everywhere. Friendly staff willing to give advice for anywhere and speak good English. A good spread at breakfast of a variety of foods to please anyone. Great hostel no complaints.

Wonderful place, close to the crowded medina, but quiet. Great vibe, very helpful staff, delicious breakfast and dinner, nice tours. Once you're there, you don't want to leave anymore.

Great experience! Felt like home from the first minute, people were really helpful and warm, also got the chance to easily meet really interesting hosts and have some nice conversations. Will definitely come back!

Clean place, friendly staff. However, they could be more generous on air conditioning.

Hostel simple et cheap. Very good food extra price. But relativly more expensive than other cities.

Snobby hostel… charged me extra money for arriving early and sitting there and cheated me more money with taxi driver. The living condition is terrible. Hot water runs out halfway and the room is dark and dirty. Worst experience.

The people hear are warm hearted generous people. The sort of people that hug you when youcome back a second time… good atmosphere to meet other people, have tea, great rooftop. The people working seem to be enjoying themself the most… beautiful to watch. Greatly recommended.
