The Oberoi Marrakech

We had an incredible stay at the Oberoi Marrakech. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail across the property is remarkable, and the service truly sets this hotel apart. Rachid and every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay special. The food was also outstanding — especially the Indian restaurant.
One moment really captured the level of care from the team. My 4-year-old son had a stuffed camel he carried everywhere. The housekeeping staff noticed it had started to tear and offered to take it to the “doctor. ” A few hours later we returned to our room to find it perfectly stitched up and sitting on the bed like new.
Such a small gesture, but it meant so much and perfectly reflects the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff here. A truly memorable stay — we can’t wait to come back.

Amazing property with beautiful views and a delightful atmosphere, complemented by impressive service and great food. You truly cannot beat the Oberoi when it comes to hospitality. They know how to deliver luxury with the perfect balance of quality and genuine care.
What we especially appreciated was how seriously they take guest feedback, which is rare and refreshing. We had no issues at all and were thoroughly impressed throughout our stay. The only small suggestion we shared was regarding breakfast, and even that was handled thoughtfully.
They went out of their way to make my friend’s birthday memorable and special, which made the experience even more meaningful. An exceptional stay overall.

This was my second time at the Oberoi Marrakech — my family’s first — and it was absolutely wonderful!
The team went out of their way to look after us in every respect — from covering and uncovering the pool each night and day to allowing our (albeit quite well-behaved) children a special dispensation to use the spa pool on one of the cold-and-raining days. While this might not have been possible during a time other than their slow season, it was still an above-and-beyond gesture that was greatly appreciated.
My husband found his new favourite cocktail thanks to Youness (aka “Kiki”) who was not only warm and friendly, but also notably excellent at his craft. We both highly recommend trying the Marlow Garden and the London drink he makes. Kiki, you will be missed!
Omar, the bellhop, picked us up from our room whenever it was raining and brought us bikes for a last-day cycle around the property; always greeting us with a smile!
Mohamed at Tamimt looked after us nightly with exceptional service and care. We loved talking with him and enjoyed his professionalism and friendliness to the point that we chose not to eat anywhere else!
Honestly, there are too many staff members, managers, and directors who aren’t named here and yet they were all impressively welcoming and helpful (eg Rachid, Mamdouh, etc. ).
In terms of the hotel itself, we loved that it’s away from the city’s intensity and noise.

One Million Stars — Still the Most Magical Hotel in the World.
I stayed at The Oberoi Marrakech three years ago and returned recently, only to fall even more deeply in love. If anything, this place is even more magical than I remembered — a rare feat.
From the moment we planned our return, Mamdouh, the hotel manager, treated us not as guests but as family. The care began before we even arrived: he arranged for a driver to pick us up from another hotel in Marrakech and thoughtfully upgraded both of our rooms to pool villas. When we arrived, we were greeted with chocolates, cake, flowers, and balloons to celebrate my father’s birthday — gestures so generous and heartfelt they truly moved us.
The front desk team deserves a standing ovation. Karima, Osama, and Rachid (who leads the team) rolled out the red carpet in every sense of the phrase. Rachid, Karima, and Osama stayed with us in our rooms until we were fully briefed and oriented, carefully walking us through every detail and eagerly revealing all the surprises they had planned — even singing “Happy Birthday” to my father, complete with candle and all. The level of pride, warmth, and attention is simply extraordinary.
The spa is world-class and breathtakingly beautiful — a sanctuary of calm. Yousra at the spa reception was wonderful, Zaki the trainer was incredibly friendly, and Intissar delivered one of the best facials my mother has ever experienced.

Our stay at Oberoi was absolutely incredible. This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in my life. Most importantly, the service was exceptional. Staff was extremely attentive, and anticipated our needs. Everyone was extremely gracious and welcoming. Mamdouh Milad has done an amazing job as GM building a team.
The location and hotel itself was mind-blowing. The rooms, grounds and public spaces were all very beautiful. We loved watching the sunset over the Atlas mountains every night. The spa/gym center was easily the most beautiful I've ever seen in a luxury hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Marrakesh. Whether you're a family, couple or group of friends, this is the kind of magical place that will give you memories for a life time.

The hotel has huge private grounds. The buildings were stunning and the gardens were well managed.
The hotel reached out before our travel to arrange for the private airport shuttle service. They even prepared a booster seat for our child. The staff were professional and friendly. They always greeted us with a warm smile whenever we met.
The room was clean and spacious and tidied beautifully everyday and we did not have to ask for anything. The staff at Tamimt restaurant were fantastic. They always paid attention to our child and accommodated our needs. The food portions were very generous, including those from the kids menu. The service was quick and smooth. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner there everyday.
It took 30-40 minutes to get to the old town and we used the hotel minibus every time. The concierge kindly made recommendations about where to go and the driver told us precisely where and when we should wait for him for the return journey.
The entire stay felt stress-free and we were well looked after. We would love to stay with them again.

Text: This is a beautiful place, like a small palace with an extensive garden, quite unlike an ordinary hotel. In fact, the administrative and concierge's desks which greet you in every five star hotel, do not announce themselves as you walk in to the hall that serves as a lobby, they are somewhat hidden away at either side.
The General Manager greeted us and other new arrivals, all of us from BA flight 668, which leaves Heathrow brutally early on Thursdays. It seems the staff are well aware of this because our villas were ready and prepared for us two hours before the stated check-in time, which was great news. We had been up at 2am and I really needed a shower and a rest. If you ask for early check-in at a Marriott or Hyatt, they will sternly and routinely refuse without bothering to see what is available. The Oberoi management quite happily and courteously gave us late check-out too.
The villas are large, serene and peaceful, each with an un-overlooked terrace and plunge pool. You will have a walk-in wardrobe and a powerful Hansgrohe-equipped shower in a room so big you think of it as therapeutic.
The Indian restaurant is very good. I really felt as if I were eating a meal in India. The mango-based dessert was lovely. The quality of cooking was very good at all restaurants.
The whole place — the service, the space you are given, the perfect meals, the serenity — is ideal if you need a rest.

Our recent family stay at The Oberoi, Marrakech was truly outstanding. While luxury hotels naturally impress with beautiful design, refined décor, and high-quality furnishings, what sets this property apart is the people. In our many years of travel, the level of hospitality here remains among the very best we have ever experienced.
This was our second visit, and once again we were welcomed like family. Mr Rohan leads with genuine enthusiasm, and his positive energy flows effortlessly through his entire team.
A special mention must go to Mr Mamdouh Milad, who, in our view, embodies the essence of true hospitality. His warmth, charm, and gracious manner make every interaction memorable. He is a remarkable asset to the property and alone would justify a return.
We were also exceptionally well looked after by Mr Al Shabib, who ensured our comfort around the pool and throughout the resort. Our children were always greeted with genuine kindness, and the thoughtful takeaway lunch he prepared for them before our departure was deeply appreciated. He is undoubtedly a future General Manager within The Oberoi Group.
The team at Tamim, led by Mr Mahdi, provided some of the happiest and most attentive service we have experienced anywhere. Nothing was ever too much trouble—whether accommodating special requests or preparing dosas outside the day’s menu.
A heartfelt thank-you must also go to the Ladies of the Kids’ Club. Their warmth, patience, and enthusiasm were exceptional.

Our stay at The Oberoi, Marrakech was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to cater to our every whim — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind.
The hotel made my daughter’s birthday truly magical — they decorated our room beautifully and even baked her a special cake. It was such a thoughtful touch.
Breakfast was a daily highlight: an incredible spread of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and so many choices that it was impossible to try everything.
We also loved the gym classes, which were well run with great variety — a lovely way to start the day. The private pools are another standout feature, offering privacy and relaxation, especially ideal for families with young children.
The hotel’s resident donkeys were an unexpected delight — we visited them every morning after breakfast, and it quickly became my daughter’s favourite part of the day.
Beyond that, the facilities are outstanding, from the beautifully maintained tennis courts to the padel court and fitness facilities, everything is designed to the highest standard.
In every respect, The Oberoi Marrakech exceeded our expectations. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines luxury, warmth, and genuine hospitality so effortlessly. We can’t wait to return.

The Oberoi Marrakesh lives up to the Oberoi promise and then some. The service is outstanding, the property is magnificent with its over 3, 000 olive trees and its impeccably appointed rooms. We stayed in a room with a pool.
Didn’t really use the room pool as the main pool was the perfect area to relax and enjoy great service from the pool restaurant. Evening dining options are limited to a high end Indian restaurant with mostly spicy options and a second restaurant offering a selection of different nationality foods. The spa and its staff are a treat. Don’t miss out on the traditional hammam experience or their relaxing massages. The therapists are all wonderful and highly qualified. The entire staff of the property are wonderful, it began with excellent reservations support from Halima to a warm welcome by Mamdouh, the manager who is as kind as he is professional. Samir and his colleagues at the Concierge were most helpful in booking restaurants and city tours. Mohamad with his endearing smile and excellent manners kindly whisked us around in his electric car given the distances within the property. This is a great place to spend a few relaxing days in Marrakesh but be mindful of the distance from the city center and the additional costs for moving around.

My wife and I were treated like honoured guests during our 4 night stay. Our Riad (accommodation) was fabulous. We didn't use the hotel pool but we did use our private pool to cool off. I used the gym which is well equipped with Technogym equipment and free weights. All of the hotel staff from housekeeping, to drivers, to Concierge made us feel welcome. We ate in the Indian restaurant twice it was so good.
The property is 25 minutes from the old town. We used the shuttle and car service to go to Royal Mansour for dinner, to the Market and the Yves St. Laurent Gardens and museum. The hotel arranged an early morning hot air balloon ride which was a highlight of our visit to Marrakesh.

Having being a frequent traveller and staying in hotels, cruise ships, everywhere from Asia, Middle East to America, I have not stayed in a hotel like this before.
From entering the hotel, to departure, the detail and care taken by everyone was superb, especially Mamdouh Milad, Aya and our refular waiter Rizq.
On arrival due to this being our first stay after our marriage we were greated with flowers and towels scented with orange blossom. We had lunch and were told our private villa was ready. Flowers and baloons in the room, nothing was too much for them, they also served a superb breakfast and the indian resturaunt inside the hotel was superb. During checkout they washed our vehicle for us, also greeted us with a farewell wave while we were leaving the premises. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to go marrakech to relax and spend some time out of the city. However they do offer 2 shuttle busses a day to the centre should you wish to go there.
I will definitely god willing be back to the hotel.

The dramatic public space, paths lined with olive trees and excellent service really made the stay luxurious. The staff made the effort to be present and welcoming, greeting guests consistently at the entrance and throughout the grounds. Even at the end, the team stood outside in the high heat over 39 C/100F waving us off until we were out of sight. I particularly appreciated when Omar not only offered us a buggy ride but checked the seat temperature and put down a towel for us.
Although it was hot, we enjoyed the off peak rates and seeing the local sites without the long lines.

It was entertaining for us as my husband proceeded to show off his fly swatting skills swiftly downing 5 or 6 with a towel, but some guests may not be similarly amused. It made the bountiful welcome amenity assortment of chocolates, dates and pastries less enjoyable. We asked for housekeeping not to leave our door open when cleaning and didn’t have much of an issue after. We did have a small lizard in the shower, but maybe this comes with having villa doors that open into the garden. Luckily didn’t have any mosquito issues in Marrakech.
The private pool was a very ample size for swimming.
We never made it to the spa but we did have room service. The Caesar salad was quite large. The assortment of Moroccan appetizers and pizza were good but the vegetable soup was too salty.

This is the most beautiful hotel — in a quiet and elegant way — in which I have ever stayed. The grounds are truly worthy of a palace. The food, staff, spa, and accommodations are all of world-class quality. Perhaps our most enjoyable hotel stay anywhere in the world. Ideal romantic escape for couples, but also friendly for families. We would recommend it for anything from a honeymoon to travel with children (there are separate play areas to keep them busy! ). If you come to Marrakech, and can afford it, make this your headquarters — this is as good as it gets.

Certainly one of the best hotels in which I've ever had the privilege to stay. The architecture is a breathtaking pastiche of the 16th C Ben Youssef Madrasa, and it's a true pleasure to be in a building of such exceptional craftsmanship. Every single member of staff I met — from the moment I stepped out the cab upon arrival to the moment I got back in the cab to leave — were utterly charming; they were friendly, able to inform me of the history of the building and also of Morocco, and generally expressed a sincere desire to make me feel welcome, regularly checking in with me to ensure I wasn't needing anything.
The villa was gorgeous and stylish, with a private pool and lots of vegetation / privacy which was very pleasant to catch quiet afternoon sun. In general, the landscaping is stunning; very well-maintained, clean — and the home to a variety of medical and edible plants and vegetation!
The room was tended to a few times a day to ensure the mini bar, fresh fruit etc were available. I was even able to call concierge who brought some carrots to my room — so that I could walk to the fields with donkey's to feed them which is cute!
I didn't use the gym, but the main pool is a good size (30m) to swim lengths, and also a nice place to cool down in the July heat.
I enjoyed drinks in the bar, with which they serve the most delicious drinks biscuits (! ) and olives from their orchard.

The Oberoi Marrakech is simply exceptional. Whether we’re staying for a few nights or just enjoying a day pass, it never fails to impress. The location is stunning. Like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the desert, blending traditional Moroccan design with serene luxury.
The property is beautifully maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out. The pools and water features are breathtaking, and every corner of the resort reflects attention to detail and elegance.
What truly makes the experience unforgettable is the staff. Their professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness go above and beyond. They genuinely care about every small detail, and their hospitality is second to none.
We always have an amazing time when we visit with the kids. It’s relaxing, joyful, and consistently exceeds expectations. We’ll definitely keep coming back!
