Playa Arena

Great location, they were kind enough to accomodate my dogs, but most uncomfortable room ive ever stayed in. Mattresses were hard and sheets were like sandpaper, no hot water. Wi-Fi signal was too poor to use. But it was clean, right on the beach and next to the dinosaur museum, so location truly couldnt be better.

Pet friendly, but there is a 250 pesos fee per night, which we weren't aware of before.
It's far from Centro and you definitely need a car to get places.
There is no coffee or food in the hotel, actually nothing other than water. Nothing in walking distance wither.
The beach is really nice and quiet, we loved just walking along the shore.
The rooms are fine. The bathroom has a funky smell and the toilet barely flushes.
Staff is really nice and helpful.
Overall it's ok and we enjoyed it.

I had a great little two-night trip with a close friend and her older dog. What a fantastic experience! The staff were super helpful and attentive (especially Mar, who is an angel on earth) ; they knew everything about the area and could help us anything and everything we asked for.
And you can walk right out onto the beach! The premises are pristine and it could not possibly have a better location. It was like we had our own private beach, and you cannot beat the price! Please be advised that you will need to know Spanish in order to communicate with the staff here.
This is OK with me because I’ve gotten pretty good at Spanish during my time in Mexico, but if you speak only English make sure you have data on your phone because you WILL be using that translator app!
