Staying at Áabilo'ob made my vacation great! María was a wonderful host — it felt like visiting family. She made us breakfast, showed us the town, the night life, good restaurants and bars, everything close by. This place is clean and comfortable and close to the beach, where she even took us for a yoga class. And if you are going kitesurfing, she'll show you where to rent a bicycle ;-)
First stayed here for couple days and then extended for weeks. I found my little happy place in progreso and this hostel was also a reason for it. Yes this hostel is still in the beginning so maybe something like a proper restroom is to care about, but Maria the hostel manager and all the other staff try as much as possible to make you a good nice stay and help you with everything. They helped me a lot to plan my bicycle trip through Mexico on the way to the states. And a nice helpfull staff counts for me much more then having a fancy hostel with pools and everything else. So recommend it and have a nice time here.
