Playa55 is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are amazing. We had a direct sea view and a very big room. It's adorable hearing the sound of the waves when you fall asleep.
The privat beach is so lovely. Quiet and perfect to relax. You can get SUP's and Kajak's for free. Sometimes you can also see dolphins.
Nico, the hotelowner is very helpful and friendly. We can highly recommend playa55!

We had four amazing days, the rooms spotless the beautiful décor we took two rooms one for our daughters another for us and the two had distinct and cute decorations, best of all the thing is that The view is really spectacular ❤️
Each room has a hammock which I thought was a great idea we enjoyed it very much;
Nicholas' attention our host was excellent too, in short if you want a turquoise blue beach, beautiful, quiet, almost Virgin, away from the typical hustle and bustle of tourist sites, come here! The place is perfect to rest and enjoy.
We would definitely love to come back. ❤️

Beautiful space with the best view. All details thought out by lovely owners. We only stayed one night but wish we had more time. Great rooftop, firepit, complimentary kayaks and paddle boards. Most importantly, especially in these times, the cleanliness was 100%. We look forward to another visit in the near future!

We were lucky enough to spend two nights at this lovely guest house on a beautiful beach and were treated to warm hospitality from the owners and helpful guidance on flamingo tours and nearby restaurants. Modern and clean with nicely designed details, including a hammock in the room. Nico and Jess have a really good thing going here and we hope to be back!

We loved Playa 55. It is beyond boutique in that its look and feel reflects its owners' soul sensibilities not just a surface aesthetic. Jess & Nico's sensibilities of course include the aesthetic but that never dwarfs their hospitality or the nature that surround them in this part of the Yucatán. Playa 55 is a remarkable cocktail combining the wow of a James Bond pad with the raw nature of sea and mangroves and the non-tourist town of Celestün. Whether you decide to relax by the pool — after having one of the best coffees you will ever make in your room — or walk the miles of beaches watching the fishing boats or be picked up from the hotel for a flamingo tour Playa 55 will live long in your memories. We recommend watching the sun set over the Gulf from the roof and walking through the friendly, fishing town. We will be coming back for a longer stay.

All I can say is WOW what a beautiful place in such a special place like Celestun. The rooms were gorgeous … so nice to wake up to the view of the ocean or fall asleep with the horizon twinkling with the fishing boats lights & the stars. Jess & Nico were hosts extraordinaire. True Canadian hospitality that went way beyond and made our stay very special. Booked for 2 nights & added an extra night just because we felt so welcomed & had to spend more time enjoying the beach & pool. There were kayak's to enjoy & beach chairs for relaxing. Will definitely come back!
