This is a magnificent place, architecturally and the gardens are paradise! But I must add that the staff, from the office staff, waiters, housekeeping, drivers, to the gardeners are very professional, and friendly, and totally guest oriented. Every single person that works there makes you feel welcome and cared for.
Jim, Jamie, you have THE best staff. Thank you for making Hacienda such a wonderful place to relax and just be happy.

Very bad experience to start the hostess greets us by saying that the restaurant is full snatch as for who we are not we told him that we don't matter expect, we arrived and only three busy tables had been spaced out enough.

Upscale restaurant, hotel, spa in colonial city of Alamos, Mexico, about 400 miles south of Tucsoc, AZ.

I can't say enough about how beautiful and well run this resort is. All of the staff are super friendly and well trained. The restaurants are great and the rooms are all different but all incredible I find it difficult to give any place a perfect score but Jaimie and her staff deserve it.

This is a very special place with lush, gorgeous grounds. Our room was fantastic. We especially liked the fire in the room that was lit for us each evening. The hosts are very gracious. Sure hope to return one day soon.

Now this place caught me off guard. Do NOT let the website deceive you! I was so excited to go and relax at this resort! Was not prepared for the truly 5 star experience this place is. During our tour of the grounds, we ventured into some of the rooms! Wowza! Then Sonya takes us into a room/suite and shows us around. She then asks if we like our accommodations for our stay? I'm like… huh? Seriously? This is where we are staying? Heaven. That's what I call it! Heaven! The service is impeccable! The staff is on point! The grounds are eye candy. From the entrance gate to the agave garden! Truly a sight to behold!

The food is enough but the price is a little bit expensive. Also, the service is too slow. It takes like forever to receive the drinks and food. However I like the place and the taste :)

Again, another stellar stay! Absolutely love this place. Booked a different suite for my December trip and plan to try all of them! San Pedro Suite was wonderful. Off in our own little nook of the resort with putting green, pool and game room through a walkway and exit to main street as well. Just a perfect place to go whether you are with a spouse/significant other or friends. I love the level of service you get and the detail of each room and the entire resort. I've yet to get a resort tour… always too busy. It's on my December list. Going during the town festival… It's awesome!

If you visit Poplar you must not miss the opportunity to get to the bar or restaurant area, where you'll find many typical details of the time of the mexican revolution. It features a garden, very beautiful.

As the owner of Hacienda de los Santos I am protesting that Google permits such people as the one who gave us a single star to randomly select hotels to berate without cause. That individual, Marius Muller, did not stay in our hotel and wrote a note that was not even in a language it was gibberish. We have a lengthy list of national and international awards just in 2015 and Google should be more responsible if they wish to compete with Trip Advisor or any other of the hotel rating systems. In 2014 we were ranked by Trip Advisor as the 5th top luxury hotel in Mexico and this year as the 2nd top Hotel in Mexico in the Small category… we are not a four star hotel, however we are a Four Diamond AAA hotel of which less than 2% of hotels worldwide can qualiry. Google is simply making a feeble attempt at trying to emulate Trip Advisor and AAA with their ratings.

My family have been fortunate to travel all over the world in many nice (and some not-so-nice) places, and HANDS DOWN, this is the finest small luxury hotel that we have EVER set foot in. There was no stone left unturned, as far as we were concerned. The historically significant village of Alamos is undoubtably charming and sweet, but nothing compares to being inside of the 300+ old walls of The Hacienda de Los Santos. Our minds were (are are) blown away by it's beauty and our hearts were made full by the loving and attentive staff. They made us feel like our happiness counted and really mattered to them. The food was both savory and fresh from their personal organic garden, and the live music of soft Mexican melodies was just another perfect touch that reminded us that we definitely weren't in Kansas anymore. Thank you all for everything. We will be back for our 20th wedding anniversary!
