Siente Tulum Hotel & Cenote Club

This stay was very mixed. Check-in went smoothly and were offered the use of the facilities while we waited for our rooms. Upon entering our room we discovered that two of our three rooms did not have any towels, and one had issues with the toilet not flushing. They moved us rooms, and that room also did not have any towels, and the hand towel had makeup all over it. When this was mentioned to reception, I was told there was a problem and to send a text to the reception number. (6 days later that text has still not been responded to)
In total we spend 6 nights there. Had no hot water for 2 days and no towels for 3 days. On the final day of yet again not having a towel and cold water, we found another hotel and left early.
Some staff are lovely, some act bothered you interrupted them on their mobile phones.
If you are using this as a base for travelling and exploring the area for a few days, and don't mind the cold water and cold food it's ok, if you want to relax at the hotel or have basic comforts, I would consider elsewhere.

Nice place just in front entrance of the Tulum's archaeological site.
Not yo far from the beach if you are driving.
Hotel needs a bit of a makeover or at least a renewal, it seems like it's been a while.
Breakfast is small but cooks are good and everything has good flavor, it's almost the same thing every day (chicken, beef, pork, eggs, chilaquiles) they have a habanero salsa that they call black widow Wich is good!
Rooms are ok (at least mine) we stayed on a double and beds are comfortable, clean sheets, nice pillows, bathroom is kinda small, toilet is a bit uncomfortable, shower is spacious but like most hotels, showerhead is always clogged and water is all over.
There is no refrigerator on room nor ice machine near, you have to go get ice at the bar.
A/C while is small, it cools the hole room and additionally there is a fan.
Rooftop's is where the restaurant and small pool is, the view is good, and you can see the pirámides from there.
There is a lot of sales persons trying to sell you anything before you get into the pirámides, just go all the way in and pay there.
You can bring water and food in your own container (Tupperware or similar)

Completely unacceptable stay.
The hotel had black mold, dirt, and severely neglected hygiene. There was no hot water for several days, which is absolutely unacceptable. All meals were served outside on the terrace, exposed to insects, and the food was poor quality, unpleasant, and very limited. After the stay, we were covered in insect bites.
The staff was unhelpful, communication was poor, and the hotel owner was rude and arrogant. After the stay, the hotel refused to cooperate with the complaint, ignored communication, and avoided responsibility.
Strongly not recommended — both in terms of hygiene and attitude.

Set an average hotel I chose the all-inclusive package so I wouldn’t have to spend extra money on meals and oh my goodness if you like hotdog, you’ll get lots of hotdog! The food is rather bland and boring! The rooms are not very exciting at all for the amount of money that you pay you would expect a little bit better room, but it’s just kind of average.! the thing that I would like to warn everybody about is the excursion concierge her name is Sandra and please do not book with her! We did two excursions the first one was great. We had an all day excursion to the ruins at Chitenitza and that was great. The only thing that was rather suspect was when we went out to get out onto the transportation, the driver demanded another $40 in payment just for him, which was never explained to us! The second day we were supposed to go on a snorkeling/lunch and the ruins right by the hotel tour! I was charged $150 for this tour little did I know that there was absolutely no tour guide we were left to wander around all by ourselves. Once we got inside the ruins we had to pay again to go and actually see the ruins. I guess what we paid for the first time was just to get into the Jaguar park then I was sent an email saying that I was supposed to go at 11 PM for lunch and good luck finding the place that we were supposed to go and eat lunch and then all of a sudden the snorkeling part was canceled.

4. (U) To begin with, the price is what attracted me to it. Once we found the place, the check in process was easy and they worked with us requesting a different room. They had fresh water in the room and a hammock! We've never had hammocks in room before. The room was cleam, but hot. Took awhile for the AC to kick in. Thew view isn't much since both properties on each side are abandoned. However, the view from the rooftop where the pool lis locatedf is amazing. The breakfast options are ok, not great not bad. But the atmosphere, the seating and the friendliness of the staff makes up for it. The only downside we had was trying to find the place. It doesn't look like a hotel. Look for the big sign that says TULUM, then drive into the property in the back. Overall, it was a good experience, we got more than what we paid for. I will definitely be staying there again.

The hotel is well located as it is just a few minutes from the urban area and the ruins of Tulum and the Jaguar Park.
The view is not the best but you have to understand that the area is under development so it is normal that there are constructions in process.
It is a little uncomfortable waiting to check in at the lobby because there are few seats which are quite uncomfortable, my travel agent told me that upon arrival we would be greeted with a drink, which did not happen.
The good thing is that you can make use of the rest of the facilities such as the terrace dining room.
The food on the terrace is ok, it tastes good but don't expect typical Mexican food. Kudos to the fact that they have a very spicy habanero dressing which is rare to find in tourist areas even in CDMX.
The drinks are ok but the first day I felt the alcoholic beverages were a watered down, I assume this is due to the heat, since they have ice which melts very quickly due to the heat of the region. Also the girl who tends the bar is friendly and attentive as well as the waiters on the terrace.
In general the staff is very friendly and efficient so please as guests remember to be nice to them and at least say good morning as they work very hard keeping the hotel clean and functional.
The room meets the necessities; shower, toilet, comfortable bed, AC and a safe box but my room had a cracked window which made me hesitate to open the window.

I stayed at The Siente Tulum Hotel for 10 days, and overall, it was an amazing experience. The location was perfect—right next to downtown, making everything super accessible.
The room was spacious, clean, and modern, complete with a hammock and a beautiful view.
The rooftop pool and bar offered stunning views, and the food service was excellent. Santiago, who handled any issues we had, was absolutely outstanding! I also really liked the great chats we had in the evenings with the concierge, Gonzalo—he was incredibly helpful and friendly.
If I had to point out one downside, it would be that a few of the waiters seemed a bit inattentive, often too busy chatting or doing their own thing to notice us.

This hotel is great overall. It is located a 5 minute walk from the ruins which give you entrance to multiple beaches. The food is good. Especially the lunch menu and breakfast. I stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed eating here. There is a nice rooftop pool next to the eating area. There was even a salsa dance class once a week. The best part of the hotel were the staff: I had great conversations with them and they were hospitable kind and professional. The only downside is if you’re all inclusive the drinks seem watered down that being said the bar tender was the best and kind. I recommend this hotel and definitely would love to come back.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and the staff are excellent.
The rooftop bar/restaurant is quite nice, with good views across the jungle canopy to the Tulum ruins. The pool is tiny though, and there are relatively few sunbeds, with insufficient shade.
The location wasn’t ideal for us in some ways. Although the hotel is very close (walking distance) to the Tulum ruins, it is over a mile to the town area, over a mile to the beach, and as I have limited mobility we ended up getting taxis quite a bit (around 250MXN which is about £10 just to get to town).
We booked all inclusive — a mistake, I think. Breakfast (buffet) was fine — freshly made omelettes, pancakes, a few hot dishes that weren’t really breakfasty (eg chicken/turkey), and a limited array of fruit (lovely pineapple one day but mostly water melon). Coffee wasn’t great, and a bit inconsistent. We were there mostly in a quiet spell, and lunch was served from a menu and prepared fresh — ceviche, fajitas, delicious fresh guacamole, tacos, burgers…all tasty, fresh, and nicely presented. On our last day, when more people were around, it switched to a buffet though, which was just about ok — the spaghetti bolognese was quite nice at least. But dinner…oh dear. The dinner buffet failed to achieve even mediocrity. Tepid food, poorly planned in terms of combinations, and generally unpleasant.

My daughter, best friend and I stayed here for 6 days. The rooms were just as described (minus the hammock in the pictures I REALLY wanted in my room) I paid extra for a "wet bar" thinking it was alcohol. It was a sink. The beds were super hard so I opted for the futon bed. Not many choices for food so we didn't eat much there. The thing that made this hotel the best experience was the bartender, Julianna. She was the absolute sweetest ever! Drinks were on point. I will also add that the waiter, Enrique, was so on top of things when it came to service. Our drinks were never empty. Our table never had dirty dishes. Even wiped the table if our drinks left wet rings when we were playing cards. Always a smile on his face. I would come back just for the bartender and waiter! I, being a waitress, can be quite a critic and let me tell you how they just blew my expectations out of the water! This hotel should praise these two employees! I cannot say enough good things about these two!

· Great hotel. It’s very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The service is excellent. We stayed for 4 nights with all inclusive meals. The food was excellent, everything is very delicious. The staff is amazing! Walking distance from the archaeological site (10min) and the beaches (30 min). And a very nice little roof top swimming pool.

We booked this hotel through an Air Canada vacation package. It was a breakfast only package and paid a pretty low price for our package as it was off season. When we arrived at the hotel the room wasn't ready, and other than offering to put our bags in a locked room, there was no offer to go to the pool, or information about where we could wait such as on the rooftop terrace and restaurant. Most of the time the receptionist couldn't give us much information about anything. The hotel is not close to either the town or the beach, although it is pretty close to the Tulum ruins entrance. Once we checked in our room was nice, although our view was over a derelict building and some garbage. The shower worked well, although it leaked a bit into the bathroom and we always had hot water. The little pool on the rooftop is quite nice, but very small, and overlooks a gas station. We only ate breakfast and a chicken salad once at the snack bar, and the food was ok, but not great. There is a membership at the hotel which you can pay extra for which includes transportation and I think entrance to some of the local attractions, which would have been great, except nobody told us about it, and we only found out after we had struggled to find out way around, and to get into town and to the beach. I think this membership would have made a big difference to our stay. The hotel had some brand new bicycles, but wouldn't let us use or rent them, as they told us they were too new.

The staff are fantastic — some understand English which makes the stay less stressful for communication.

AMAZING TACO PLACE NEXT DOOR 30 peso tacos! This is a must see “Bretzel” is the name of the place.
Bad shower design forces water out onto the floor — you need extra towels, no caulking or water seals in the doors or glass.
If you are lucky enough to get water pressure it is for cold water, 80% of our stay had no how water at all and at times absolutely zero water pressure. Not even a drip.
Lots of local men being housed here for work? Scary looking guys sitting everywhere around the hotel staring at you as you walk by.
We weren’t bothered but if you are a single girl or group of girls get ready to be gawked at if you are not originally from Mexico haha.

Mixed reviews here about the place — its a 1.5 year old hotel but has severe issues with horrific leaking showers (no caulking or splash shields, water goes all over the floor) and if you are lucky enough to get water pressure you get cold water and the tile wasn't sloped to drain the water into the drain. We went 1.5 days without hot water and no words of exaggeration and like other people who reviewed here, ZERO water pressure meaning not even a drip of water comes out at times. Its strange and for a new hotel, this is a major and absolute failure.
Signs of bed bugs on the walls, curtain covering but the beds were clean.
The staff were 10/10 hands down extremely friendly and always smiling, genuine smiles.
We rented a car, PLENTY of parking on site so don't worry about that at all :)
The pool was nice, you can actually see the Tulum Ruins from up there!
Rooms were huge — no chair to sit and do work remotely on that huge desk table they got in the room — very bare minimal.
There are a bunch of local guys staying there and they look scary and sit all over the property and make it uncomfortable for tourists as they gawk at your girl and size you up but heck, didn't bother us, my girl is pretty to look at so can't fault them for that, just an observation — after all we are visiting in their country.
Tulum Ruins is a true 15 — 20 minute walk to the main gate where you can pay your admission.

I do not understand all the excellent reviews. The only good thing this hotel has going for it is being across the street from the Tulum Ruins and good breakfast. Aside from that, no fridge, shower faucet sprayed everywhere (staff did not care to fix), no tv, sink is near the bed and the bathroom is tiny without a sink. Beach is about 16 min in taxi.

Embarrassing for a 4-star hotel. Seems like a hotel that was built very fast and never finished, without thinking about the basics.
Positive: good Wi-Fi and clean rooms.
Negative: where to begin?
1. The shower was badly installed and sprayed water all over the place. Only super hot water and when turning it to cold no water pressure at all. We even had one evening without any water.
2. No fridge and no waste bin. Towels and toilet paper were not replenished by the cleaning staff. We needed to go to the reception regularly to get this sorted.
3. The rooftop pool is very small and no cushions for the chairs were available. Also no separate towels for the pool. The bar at the pool seemed still under construction (though nobody actually doing any work in the 6 days we were there). So no drinks anywhere in the hotel, even not water.
4. One breakfast bar that has very random opening times. Often closed in the evening so we couldn’t buy any water (reception couldn’t help either). Luckily, there’s a liquor store nearby that closes at 9PM.
5. Lack of basic security measures — anyone could just enter — no key card needed to enter the parking, the hotel or use the elevators.
6. Far from Tulum center where all the nice restaurants and bars are. This wouldn’t be such an issue if they actually served some food/drinks. There are a couple of small restaurants around the corner which we enjoyed.
7. Turning on one of the lights we saw sparks flying.

Stayed here for almost 10 days. Loved the hotel. Spacious and clean rooms.
Staff is very kind and it smells so good in the lobby.
If you want to visit the ruins it is very well located as its only 10-15 mins walk.
However u need a car, atv or scooter to go more central.
If you are Looking for a nearby restaurant, make sure to try Chalulu cafe. Amazing local food.
