Ether Tulum

Me and my partner booked our stay with at ether hotel for a week. It was my birthday trip and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They messaged often to check in and make sure that we were happy with the room and if it needed cleaning or if we needed any help with booking on site Holistic healing services.
The room itself was absolutely beautiful, very clean and it was very nice having the option of a fan as well as AC.
We had a few times where the remote for the AC wasn't working for us, but they were very quick to fix it and help us.
The resort itself is fairly new and has so many unique parts to the piece of property itself. It was very nice having a bar/restaurant sitting area during the week and service to the beach as well was a cherry on top.
We utilized the piece of property to the full extent and they were also very accommodating when it came to booking a full service taxi to and from the airport for us.
They don't yet have a sign on the exterior, so finding it was a little tricky, but I assume they have that In the works! They sent detailed information when it came to finding the place and Wi-Fi, parking etc.
Highly recommend.

Ether is one of my favorite beach clubs because it's so chill, relaxing, and the food + drinks are excellent! They're a wonderful place to host larger groups and I'd recommend anyone to stay here — the rooms are gorgeous!

I cannot recommend Ether Tulum enough. If you are looking for a good and reasonably priced place to stay on the beach, look no further. The location was perfect, with private beach access and road access, next to everything you could possibly need or want. It was quiet, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing, with a clean room on a very well-kept property. The staff were so friendly and made the stay wonderful.

A True Gem in Tulum – Our Favorite Stay Yet.
Ether Hotel absolutely took our breath away. We’ve stayed in 7 different hotels in Tulum over the years, and this is hands down our favorite so far.
We stayed in two different rooms during our visit — the bungalow was my favorite. I was a bit unsure about it at first, but it turned out to be amazing — rustic yet modern, with everything you need. The first room, Chukum, was nicely designed but a bit too close to the street and could get loud at times.
The beach club was small, cozy, and just perfect for a peaceful, relaxing day by the ocean. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the coffee was excellent. We especially loved the friendly, attentive waiters — they really made us feel welcome.
The hotel has a beautiful, laid-back vibe — thoughtfully designed, earthy, and stylish without trying too hard. Everything felt intentional and relaxed.
The location is also great — you can easily walk to lots of great restaurants nearby. We loved the tacos across the street, and Kosmos was a fantastic spot for breakfast. A bit further down, Los Bowls had amazing açaí bowls.
We also loved our morning walks down the beach — calm, beautiful, and the perfect way to start the day.
If you’re looking for a more intimate, soulful place to stay in Tulum with great food, amazing staff, and a true beachside vibe — Ether is it. Can’t wait to come back!

My friends and I had such a relaxing time here. Because of the small number of rooms, it feels so private and never crowded! The staff is insanely kind and attentive as well. We stayed in Astra and the decor was very nice, and it’s a short walk to the beach. One thing to note is that there is some construction going on at the moment, but since we weren’t in our rooms during the day, that didn’t bother us much. And it is close to the main road, so some noise pollution from bars nearby is inevitable.
The only suggestions we have are maybe adding a couple more mirrors/a full length mirror — 3 girls and 1 mirror was a little tricky. And then maybe a few bath mats in the bathroom. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we appreciate the staff for making it a great trip!

Overall we had a fantastic stay at Ether. The staff was very helpful and kind especially Roxanna. She helped us book an amazing tour of Chichen Itza and was always responsive when we needed her. She gave us a bunch of great advice on where to go and what to see. Can't say enough about the beauty here. The grounds are beautiful and it's only a short walk to the beach. It's in a great area with easy access to shops and restaurants. Always felt very safe. There are some things travelers should be aware of. I would not call this a resort or hotel. A bohemian style B&B best describes it and breakfast is not included. There is one Chukum and one Palapa room. The A/C is only on from 7pm to 7am. The electrical grid in this part of Tulum is a bit unreliable and there will be times when the power is shut off. This is mostly during the day. The bar/cafe is open from 9am-6pm and serves breakfast and lunch. The food and drinks at the cafe were great. They will also bring you food and drinks on the beach — again this is not free of charge. We had a great time here and highly recommend it if you're in the mood for more of a bohemian style experience.

Absolutely dream-like week spent in Tulum at Ether. Extremely friendly staff, private area to park our rental car, food drinks and shops just outside of the resort but…you can also stay at the resort to eat and drink. THE best margarita (strawberry) I had on our trip was at the bar at Ether. Amazingly fresh and delicious foods. Just steps from the most idyllic beach that we could hear from our bungalow. We really had no bug issues and nothing to complain about. After our not so great experience at the airport dealing with the rental car we had the most perfect trip and a lot of thanks are to the wonderful staff at ether and in general the people of Tulum.

At first glance, Hotel Ether appears to be a high-end and stylish place. However, it quickly becomes clear that more effort was put into aesthetics than actual quality. Many things look nice but are either not functional or poorly executed.
Examples? The bathtub in the room looks great – but since the drain plug doesn’t seal properly, you can let the water run for hours and still not take a bath.
The bathroom faucet is so loose that every time you use it, you worry it might come off in your hand.
Unfortunately, this hotel is not built for real quality but rather for quick profit. It aims to be in the same price range as the best hotels in the area – just not when it comes to craftsmanship and durability.
On top of that, our room was right next to a busy main road, making it extremely loud with constant noise from motorcycles, cars, and parties. Depending on what you’re looking for, this might not be ideal at all.
One positive note: The tropical gardens leading to the beach are beautifully designed – we have to give the hotel credit for that.

Ether Tulum is beyond incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by its peaceful and magical atmosphere. This place became very very special for us, as I proposed to my fiancée here! The setting staff arranged for us, the serene energy, and the breathtaking surroundings made it the perfect moment. If you’re looking for a place that feels truly sacred for unforgettable experiences, this is it. Highly recommended!

Didn’t stay only went for the beach club. Friendly staff, fantastic food and drinks, and a low key vibe. 700mex entry fee but 500 is given as food and beverage credit. Would totally recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing beach day with great food.

Experience with my host and staff. I learned some Spanish to make things easier for myself. So do yourself a favour and learn some Spanish to enjoy your stay even more. Thank you and I WILL be back for sure!

Honestly one of the best places in the Tulum beach area where you can actually rest, the food was absolutely delicious and even if you don’t stay the night they offer a day pass where you can access the beach and enjoy the lovely facilities!
The place is absolutely stunning and peaceful.

Hello, we stayed in Ether for 3 nights and it is a small boutique hotel in Hotel Zone in Tulum. At the front, it has no way of indicating the property but when you get to know the wooden wall that is Ether’s, then it is not difficult to find. For most taxis, we told them to take us to Be Tulum as it is a more known hotel near it. The overall property is nice and full of plants, giving off a great island vibe. There is only 4-5 rooms and if they were all booked at once, there is plenty room to relax around. It is extremely close to the beach which is a plus. However, the beach is full of seaweed at the time we went, and I am not sure if they clean it up (Bigger hotels tend to have cleaner beaches). Staff is great and helped everywhere they could. There is a watch at night above the wooden wall who is there making sure things are okay. A HUGE thing we noticed is that AC is only available from 7p-7am in a hot and humid environment. We did not know this until shortly before we arrived. Staff said it was to conserve energy and gave a mixed response when we asked if we can use it for longer. The AC was only a small unit that served more as a cold fan which caused the room to take an extensive time to cool down even at midnight. Another HUGE thing is that the room does not have a fridge either which means you must purchase cold drinks and expect them to be warm in the matter of hours.

A quiet and beautiful stay right on the beach with the best staff. Great place to stay for couples or friends. Make sure to eat the breakfast served on the beach and grab a morning coffee at kosmos coffee next door. The best beach clubs are a bit of a walk so having a car is helpful.

The property is gorgeous and right on the beach! The mopeds and bikes the had were way cheaper than any rentals you find on the street. Only a 1-10 minute walk to anything you need. However, shops near by are expensive for food drinks and water (for good reason). Sand is soft and the seaweed does not stink anymore! One of the two AC units broke once but they refunded us for 1 of the 4 nights. Great staff here. They even responded to my messages at midnight.

If you miss Tulum before Instagram, this is the place for you. It is calm and intimate, with plenty of areas to just chill. Yvette will guide you even before your arrival and she will welcome you and provide any information you need. The brunch menu at the beach/bar is super tasty and fresh. The bar service 10/10 with Dany and Charlie. We went on a girls getaway and we didn’t want to leave, the place is beautiful, and extremely well kept while remaining natural and laid back.

Our recent stay at Ether Tulum was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the staff. They were incredibly accommodating, offering assistance and recommendations for activities both within and outside the hotel. They went above and beyond to make our stay extra special and did not hesitate to help us out.
The location of Ether is simply stunning. The room was spacious and clean, the beach was breathtaking and the entire grounds are incredibly beautiful! Although we did experience some construction noise in the mornings, and there were occasional issues with the shower, they did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay.
It's rare to find such a perfect balance of quality and affordability!
