Best restaurant experience ever!

Hotel Esencia is a true blissful escape. Here melts everything you want in an exclusive luxury resort with a crisp, beachy, minimalist environment tucked away in the jungle. With just a short ride from droves of adventure, beach parties and high end restaurants. Esencia offers it all if you want to unplug and settle in. The resort grounds are immaculate, complete with a resident peacock. The 3 onsite restaurants are fantastic. Each has its own charm and local menu. The spa can’t be missed. You’ll need extra time to soak away in all of the healing amenities and tranquil spaces. If it’s relaxation you’re seeking you’ve found the spot. Shady pool loungers and personal beach front cabanas will help hours drift away. All the while, an attentive staff ensures that you are never thirsty and that your experience is flawless. Not a detail is over looked and the service is perfect in every department. From the dreamy atmosphere to the constant cleaning to the 24/7 concierge, Esencia is doing it right at the top level.

A place to relax and have a pleasant time, it is a bit expensive the services q offer but it is quality price, highly recommended.

Hotel Esencia is more than a boutique hotel; it’s a utopia where one can feel at home and away at the same time. Dreamy sunrises, a picturesque beach with Caribbean blue water, and a staff that has surpassed my expectations. During a time where travel can be somewhat unnerving, Hotel Esencia’s warm hospitality included protections and seclusion that allowed me to feel safe and secure during the current pandemic. Dining in each of the three dining areas was a vacation in itself. Vampire juice in the morning, wine in the afternoon, and the signature Esencia margarita in the evening was accompanied by classic Mexican breakfasts, brick oven pizza, and juicy steaks. Between the environment and dining — I had no interest in ever leaving the property — except to walk down a path to swim in a cenote with a family of manatees, with our favorite guide and lifeguard Pasquale. I spent the holidays at the hotel in need of a break from life’s pressure and I met people whose friendships will last a lifetime. I can only hope that others experience the same favored attitude adjustment I was able to by the end of my stay. Hands down, in a world of places to visit and explore, Hotel Esencia is worth the memorable stay. Thank you to Kevin, his staff, and to all the beautiful people that made this trip one of the best holidays of my life.

What a beautifully curated hotel. Everything is meticulously thought out to the very minor detail and is enforced by phenomenal customer service. Beyond the ambiance and amenities, the guest are pleasant and engaging. Highly recommend.

The best experience ever!

The service is beyond amazing! Every detail was taken care of, or someone found a way to take care of it! The beach is beautiful clear water. We came in August on off season and it was wonderful and quiet! The food is delicious, I recommend the fish tacos! Average pricing for a vacation nothing shocking. Beefbar was delicious and beautiful! The rooms and very minimalist, white with clean lines and a few pops of colors but nice so if you love everything extremely fancy like a big resort then you probably will be a negative nancy here but I found it beautiful and relaxing! Loved the boutique vibe, very relaxing place that just feels like your own place! It was the experience I was wanting. ❤️

If you are looking for a unique, relaxing, uplifting, stylish experience, this is the place for you. Hotel Esencia could be easily one of the best hotels in the world.
The main house is a lovely villa in front of a beautiful beach hidden in the middle of the jungle. The entrance to the hotel is just spectacular. As soon as you enter the property, the fresh air, the beautiful green scenery, and each one of the stylish details throughout the property makes you realize you are about to have an extraordinary experience.
The service is just perfect, professional and warm, and they take it to the next level with exquisite details, like daily little gifts, morning and afternoon complimentary tea and coffee (with delicious little bites! ) and impeccable cleaning.
The food is excellent and the restaurants have a great ambiance (we had spectacular Latin live music with the perfect volume and vibe).
The rooms are perfectly decorated and very comfortable and all the hotel, the pool, the gym, the common areas are just impressive. Plus they have complimentary yoga classes every morning (+ meditation a couple of afternoons! ).
There is no way I am not coming back and I just recommended it to all my friends. Visiting this place is a must!

Super cute Hotel very quiet and with excellent customer service. The beach is super cute in addition to very low tide by Lonque can use the whole family. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Overall a good experience although a bit expensive in my opinion.

I went to Esencia last Weekend for one of my best friends wedding, truly a five star hotel from the beach, the food, the staff, the service and the staff. I will definitely go back many many more times

Magnificent customer service inside of this small paradise in the jungle. Gate almost hidden, hard to find and easy to skip. Ceviche Yucatan is a must, amazing eggplant dip but my biggest disappointment were the tacos cochinita pibil were dry and lacking of flavour, I even quesioned that the tortillas were handmade… they looked like for the bag.

Hidden luxury retreat. Incredible and personalized service. Accomodations are hip, luxurious, comfortable. The food at the restaurants is very good. The experience is overall quite terrific but is expectedly quite expensive, particularly in comparison to other resorts in Tulum.

Anything BUT luxury at this property. Garden rooms are musty with horribly shabby bathrooms. Towels are threadbare, incredibly thin and, in the case of our room, stained with faded brown spots. I've honestly seen better towels at every other budget motel I've ever stayed at. The bathtub was old and poorly patched with wobbly fixtures. Shower doors were dirty with water stains. Plenty of random 'hair' all over the bathroom. Bedroom was average size, very far from a 'suite' and dark. Floors were dirty and our sliding doors didn't work, resulting in a cut finger after I attempted to close them properly. Service is totally aloof and misdirected. Yes, they have a lot of people working there, but no one seems to know what to do. I was never asked 'can I get you anything? '. The beach is gorgeous here, but you're paying a big price for a nice beach. This hotel should be priced at about $250/night, not $750++. It's comparable to an Embassy Suites or Marriott Courtyard. I offered to pay for a nicer room, but the hotel was sold out. We all agreed that I'd be happier at another property in the area, but I'm still waiting for the hotel to refund my deposit. Management should visit a Four Seasons or St. Regis hotel to see how comparably-priced hotels operate. I suspect some of their positive press is courtesy of the free trips they give out to 'celebrities', social media influencers and bloggers.

It's an ok "relaxing spot", if you don't mind kids playing right in front of your breakfast or dinner table. Definitely over priced for what it is. The location and architecture is not interesting enough for the price. You can find better no far from it. Matress and pillows were very uncomfortable and barely had a good sleep. The food, sadly is not authentic mexican food and lacks flavor, specially dinner dishes. I don't recall having a warm meal & staff never could give a straigh asnswer as of why dishes were always on the cold side and stail. Bartenders lack knowledge on drinks & are extremely uptight on the servings, given the high, unreasonable, prices. Disappointed to say the least, given we chose 5 days when in reality is worth 3 and half of the cost. Tried to use the catamaran 3 times and was told that couldn't cause of weather, which I understand, but the other times the excuse was that there was no staff. The staff, overall was typical staff. Friendly and attentive. Would I come back? Absolutely not. Do I recommend it? No, unless you want to spend unnecessary amount of money. One last thing. Don't bother going to their "exclusive" cenote. Just back form 4 night at the Esencia. I have to say pleasantly surprised . This is great place to stay. It really takes in the feeling of being relaxed. Special I enjoyed yoga classes. The teacher was friendly warm. And easy going. The classes are not too challenging but not too easy and makes relax and peaceful. I like the different teaching styles every morning. I never thought I would be able to do enjoy yoga. It's awesome accommodations for stay.

If you're looking for privacy in the Cancun/Tulum area you've come to the right place.

Hotel is extremely quiet, facilities primerisimo level and the care is exceptional.

It is very well located with one of the best beaches that I have ever known.

Great staff, great rooms and amazing beach access with private cabanas. They staff took such great care of us and prepared a special birthday desert for my wife without request. Will visit again. Plus dozens of iguanas and three peacocks if you are into that sort of thing. Extremely fast internet too.

Beautiful hotel, attention to detail in another league.
