Enjoy Playa Hostel Hostel

Enjoy Playa is a great hostel located just 2 blocks from the 5th Avenue. Facilities include a (small) kitchen, small pool, common areas, free drinking water, Wi-Fi (which might be very very unstable sometimes…), and hot showers. Every bed has personal light, electrical outlet, and a very big locker. Staff is friendly, they kept our backpacks when we went to cozumel, and let us use their snorkeling equipment.

Toni and John are sooooo cool. Came back and popped in to beg for a room cos are booked out … anyway they are going to try and fit me in but let me hang there and use pool etc anyway. Super friendly place ps avoid Hostel Play at the Spot there is no pool.

Nice place, the attention is very good and the location is also 3 blocks from the departure of the ferries and 2 of the 5th Av. Rent a private room, the mattress of the double bed was old and had a hole in the middle, but out of that all right. It has a kitchen and shared bathrooms. The kitchen is complete and the bathrooms are always clean.

Chill place, but lacking in quality. The bed sheets have holes and are see through from being threadbare. The Wi-Fi is alright. Download is pretty good but upload is on the slow side and variable. You may or may not have luck with video and voice calls. The breakfast is decent but rather small. The Aircon in the dorms is off during the day.

M'y friends and I spent 4 days at Enjoy playa. Everything was so great. This is so far the place we enjoyed the most. Staff team is so nice and Welcome good. Shout out to Tony Bomboni who took the Time to be our mentor in playa del carmen. His smile and kindness will stay in our heart. Bisous de. Morgane, Laetitia et Clémence.

A great place to meet new people and have a really good time. It’s no wonder most people end up staying a little longer than originally planned. It’s run by a family, feels like a family! Grazie Mille!

Staff super friendly, comfortable beds, but sometimes no water comes out of the shower.

Fantastic hostel not too far from city centre, bus station, ferry and beaches. Very centrally located. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and beds made fresh every day. Breakfast is complimentary with toast, fruit, orange juice and coffee. It is enough to start your day, especially for a budget traveller. Their roof is a great place to chill out in the afternoons with tables and hammocks. The staff were extremely friendly and ready to help! We really enjoyed our stay here!

In a very central location, 3 blocks from the 5th Avenue. The room I stayed in this spacious are 5 bunk beds very hygienic, very respectful people. The kids that are in reception very nice, you ask them opinion of something and they advised you. There's live music on Fridays. It was my first time in a hostel and I stayed with good experience.

Great hostel. Very friendly staff, specially Emerson (night shift). Breakfast is included on the price and it's enough to start the day. Located 5 minutes walking to the beach close to the pier. Super nice terrace. Good Wi-Fi. Small and dirty kitchen (most people leave their dirty dishes there). Female dorm had really big lockers, confortable bed, AC was on during the night, and an ensuite bathroom. Some nights music was too loud past 11 pm. Overall i'd come back.

A hostel too nice the atmosphere, clean, safe, has bar set of darts, Domino, etc.
Of course I would return.

It was pretty good, the guy of the reception is very attentive, the room clean, the only detail is that you rent the private room and don't ask if I had bathroom inside and No! It was shared but clean it up well.

The price was very good for the accommodations. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and there wasn't much noise from the street. The staff helped us arrange for a tour and was helpful with questions about the area. Great location, a short walk to the beach, several restaurants and small convenience stores within a block but not so close to the busy area that out was annoying. The "breakfast" included was just coffee or tea, toast, cereal, and some fruit — not the best I've had from a hostel but not the worst either. My only real complaints are 1. That the doors to the rooms are very lightweight so sound & light within the hostel carry easily and 2. Our private "ensuite" bathroom was a separate entrance from the hallway so if we had to use the bathroom we had to unlock our door, go out into the hall, unlock the bathroom, use it, and repeat the steps in reverse. Kind of a pain and defeats the purpose of an "ensuite. " Overall we were happy with it.

Stayed in Playa for about a week. Had a great time the staff was really helpful and the guy in the front desk (WIlson) was exceptionally good. I liked that they organized group activities several nights of the week (great idea) I would highly recommend and would certainly be back to visit.

Enjoy is the place where you have a family and friends all the time. Relaxed atmosphere and good vibes mainly. Recommended for travelers and people who want to relax and at the same time have a good time in a good environment. Good staff, safe, close to the beach, good service and the air conditioning up to scratch.

The Hostel is full most of the place (Playa del Carmen). The people, the location, the taste and the warmth of the place makes you feel as in your own home, the staff very friendly and always give you tips good to know the place low priced, as a Backpacker to know that part is important. The included breakfast in the morning is pretty full and the rooms very comfortable. Walking is one block away the famous 5th avenue and one block to the Beach! Recommended to my fellow Backpackers

Nice and clean hostel only 3 blocks away from the beach. The breakfast is included and even have a/c and still one of the cheapest in playa del carmen.

Great roof lounge, love that they serve fruit at breakfast, along with a squeeze-your-own-OJ station. Very clean, except the communal kitchen, a common hostel issue.

Stayed in a private room. The ac and Wi-Fi worked well. No complaints. Only stayed 1 night but the place seemed to lack a social atmosphere. They had a nice rooftop but nobody was up there the few times I checked. Nothing wrong with this place but found a better room (hotel) about 5 blocks away for cheaper, maya vacanze.

Very quiet and clean very friendly staff, there I met the love of my life.

Beautiful place and very warm people. We were treated very well-my girlfriend and me. Has promotions in relation to the food and breakfasts are very rich and abundant. Would be good to do more theme parties and more use the mini pool in the terrace.

Nice hostel, in a good location (close but not too much to the 5th Avenida and close to the colectivo station). Cool rooftop and a small restaurant that does a decent pasta and pizza. Sociable atmosphere. The room where I stayed though was very dark and the beds were pathetic, they didn't look solid and the ladders were broken, so that to step on the upper bed I had to jump from the bed below. The mattress was worn and uncomfortable. Apparently other rooms were much better.

I loved the concept of the place, the people who attends is very friendly and always available, not only is it hosting they also do parties for guests super fun! Near the beach is the best!

Excellent hostel in the center of the beach everything is close, the environment is perfect to meet people, enjoy a good meal and good atmosphere. Staff gentle and friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are always clean!

A good option to stay.

Went for a room with no booking, they honoured the online price I'd seen which was the only +point. Staff seemed stroppy and cold. No warm welcome. Long list of strict rules to sign against. Bed was very uncomfortable as mattress sank and I could feel the mental underneath and was incredibly squeaky. I asked where the nearest beer shop was and was just told ' you can't drink outside beer here we sell beer! '. I was going out to meet friends and was just asking for a shop on the way! Not helpful! Breakfast only from 9am no good for an early start!

It's a great place, nice bar with restaurant pasta & pizza. Cheap prices. Very nice terrace. And amazing live music.

This was an amazing hostel experience. Great location, but more importantly really great service and awesome food! I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Playa Del Carmen.
