The Hotel is beautifully located by the Sea and has lovingly furnished the Rooms. Each Room has a private or shared balcony with a Hammock and a Table with Chairs. Breakfast can also be served there in the morning. The Rooms as well as the whole Grounds are clean and well maintained, the Staff is polite. But you have to be Aware that the Hotel is in the South of the Island, but the whole Tour life takes place in the North. For us, it was just the Thing. We did not test the Restaurant.

The feeling of getting to the hut of the Uncle Tom, enter, and enter a Paradise modesto that these treaty as the best Apostles! I hope you stay well! Thanks.

This place is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! The customer service is amazing! Super nice staff and waiters and all so helpful! The view is the most gorgeous view on the island! They have an incredible pool overlooking the ocean. They also have a walkway to the beach and kayaks for free! The hotel is so so clean and just so nice. They clean so well every day and bring you breakfast every morning on your cozy deck. We had the tiki hut roof with a huge deck and it was so cozy. It was also very quiet here and relaxing. Super private. I almost didn’t want to leave the hotel the whole time! It’s close to the gorgeous coast with cliffs and the ride anywhere is very short. The food was amazing! Drinks also amazing! Pictures definitely do not do this place justice. It’s heavenly here. I will definitely return. It was a real dream staying here and I can’t even believe how perfect it was!

Super nice hotel — small but fine!
The hotel is built into a hillside, so EVERY room has oceanview and that's the hammer! Via a stone staircase you are in a minute right on the beach — many stones, so best to put on bathing shoes.
The rooms are nicely furnished and are clean, safe, air conditioning and a small refrigerator are provided. On the terrace next to table and chairs are a hammock dreams.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful view of the sea. The layout of the rooms allows all a nice view. The staff are very friendly and attentive.
The hotel has direct access to the sea where it is possible to snorkel and kayak. And if the sea no longer suits you… The infinity pool is also very nice.
You can also watch the sunset I would highly recommend!

Great views from the decks of the rooms. The rock stairs are a bit tricky, so not for the feeble. But the location is good when you rent a golf cart, the property is very nice, the staff is awesome, the rooms are very nice as well.

Beautiful hotel, excellent views and location away from the busy playa norte.

In the area of Punta Sur, one of the few restaurants open, friendly and available managers.
If you are not looking for something fine dining and want to eat this is the place.

Beautiful ocean and very unique hotel. Looks like an Italian villa. Would recommend others to come here. There are lots of stairs, not recommended for persons with knee issues. Pool is cool but very welcoming when the weather is warm and you can also snorkel in the natural surroundings.

What a lovely place to stay! The rooms were clean and spacious. We shared a terrace, but it didn't matter. There was a lovely hammock and we enjoyed making use of it. Restaurant onsite made delicious food and great cocktails. Private beach was small but perfect and quiet. For laying in the sun, there is an ample deck and a nice pool! Would highly recommend. It is far from the crowds on the north side of the island.

Nice peaceful place. The staff offer a very good service. The only disadvantage is access to services, you have to use the taxi or you have to rent a golf cart. This hotel is located to the south of the island and since there is no public transport, it makes the travel expensive.
For the room, mattress too hard, low flow shower. But the view from the balcony (large balcony with a hammock) is really beautiful!
It's a great place to relax!

The rooms are very nice and they treat people well here. It's a bummer not to be able to get coffee until 8:30, though. Also the construction isn't up to "code" as one might expect for a similarly priced hotel in the US,. Doors don't shut properly, and water backs up into entryways instead of shedding down the hill every time there's a heavy rain.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel La Joya while we visited Isla for our 20th anniversary. We loved our deck and the sunsets. The staff was so helpful to call cabs, help us order food our first night when we arrived late. They helped us rent a golf cart for a couple days and the pointed us to the best dive shop for an amazing snorkeling adventure.

We had a fantastic time. Very quiet, you feel like you have the place to yourself. The staff is great. Town is a short golf cart trip away.

Excellent location close to the park ecoturististico the garrafon and southern tip of isla mujeres. It has a beautiful view to the sea makes this hotel a heavenly place especially in the evenings when the sun goes down.

Amazing hotel. The staff were very attentive. Breakfast on our private decks was an amazing way to wake up.

Marvelous view, calm location, good facilities. Hotel owns a 1p kayak which can be used for free. Most beautiful snorkeling location which is directly accessible from the shore. Unfortunately the restaurant lacks and closes early.

We love the place, the staff is first, especially of Oswaldo de reception. We definitely recommend the place, especially for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area and enjoy the rest on a private beach.

A very quiet and peaceful place, if you want to relax this is the best place to do it.

Loved our stay! Everything was perfect!

Edwardo, the hotel manager was Superb! Anything you requested was delivered. The food was excellent! Chef Juan delivered with a fresh plate of Ceviche and grilled fish from our morning fishing trip. The accommodations were great, relaxed, off the beaten path and just beautiful! We will be returning with our friends to get married at Punta Sur in September 2015. An annual trip will be spent on Isla Mujeres at Hotel La Joya.

I stayed here for 6 nights in November 2012 and would absolutely recommend staying here. It's quiet, you get an outstanding view, the staff are friendly and helpful, and you can snorkel right from the private beach at La Joya.

Just love this piece of paradise and simply would not stay anywhere else. This small hotel is located at the quiet end of this beautiful island and has the most stunning water views. The people that work here are sooo very friendly, nothing is a problem. We are finding it very difficult to leave and have extended twice now. Thank you Hotel La Joys for such a memorable stay, we will be back for sure :-).
