Beautiful place, good food and good service. There is no air conditioning, to get there you have to handle 4km on dirt roads from the road, nothing close, no frigo-bar or room service. Costly for the level of comfort they offer.

Lousy! I wanted to make a reservation and got an initial cost and what was the surprise that they made the charge to my card for the 25% more. The bank immediately warned me however if it had not been so I would have charged an extra expense. Lousy that being a hotel in Mexico do not accept pesos and all charges are in dollars!

It's a nice lovely place, very comfy. It's a little bit far from any big city, the nearest one is Bacalar approximately 50km. Have a nice access to the lagoon, restaurant service that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food service its a little bit expensive but it's OK. Pet friendly and you can camping if you want to do so.

Failed to disclose that this place is in NO WAY accessible for anyone with even a minor mobility challenge. Beautiful lagoon, though.

A place of 10 can't ask for anything more, good service, good food, tranquility in the midst of paradise, access to the lagoon-excellent, 100 % recommended.

It is a good place if you are on honeymoon or you are a hermit, it is like an hour from Bacalar, no sign, the Wi-Fi is bad, the breakfast is lousy, the food menu is very limited. I'm. It makes the cost too excessive for what they offer. Supposedly their concept is ecological and serve you food in Styrofoam and the juice is not even natural.

Tested the restaurant which is super good and good, fish meat or pasta. Service a little long.

It Is The first hotel I know that all the breakfasts gives disposable glasses of styrofoam for the coffee and the juice. And it says To be green! It Gives the impression that it says it is to limit all services: There are only two outlets in the room (you have to disconnect the lamps to charge the phone or anything) ; They only serve breakfast, lunch or dinner in 2 hour hours, with the complication that The hotel is 35 km from any other restaurant in Bacalar (plus 3 kilometres of bad dirt) ; In the whole hotel there are 10 cabins and there are only two places with shaded lounge chairs, the other lounge chairs in the sun; All the beach towels we got had stains, and the bathroom and facials also returned 3 to change them (we were left with the ones we got without spots) ; Breakfast was always the same: scrambled egg with nothing else, untoasted bread, the same sweet bread, coffee and the fruit was always pineapple in the 5 breakfasts we had.
It Also gives the impression that there are only 3 people who take care of the whole hotel, cleanliness, food, Administration. It Seems that the owners walk out all the time and delegate everything to a small group of people who obviously do what they can, and in fact, in a friendly way.
Anyway my impression is that they have the place so careless or nothing cared for saving money. And to top it off, they carry a tour van to the hotel full of noisy tourists from other hotels to occupy lounge chairs and kayaks of the guests.

Beautiful, secluded property in Bacalar Lagoon. Ideal for people looking for tranquility and relaxation.

This is a hidden treasure. After driving down a long, bumpy, narrow dirt road through the jungle, we were rewarded with a stunningly beautiful resort where we ate a delicious meal (chicken fajitas) and kayaked on the water when we weren't just sitting back and enjoying the place. We want to go back.

This place is off the beaten path a bit so it offers a lot of serenity but the lake is beautiful Everywhere. If you could I’d suggest staying at an air bnb as most of the hotels that we’ve seen on the lake ar crusty and not very up to date. Bacalar resort is one of the more expensive ones and rooms are hot during the day, don’t offer AC except for summer months. The food is mediocre and other food spots are a good drive away. Th place wasn’t that clean had laundry hanging behind our room and even though the place was empty there was still other people’s leftover food and cigarette butts on the dock. The staff was also kinda rude until the owner got there. Also there is very poor to no cell phone reception.

We didn't stay here, but went for lunch after an excursion from our cruise ship. The owner ate lunch with us, answered all our questions, and told us his story of purchasing and building the resort. The place is in the middle of nowhere. You have to go down a very long dirt road to get here, but it's very worth it. The food was great, and the resort was absolutely gorgeous.

It was very calm and lonely but nice if you want to rest.

Is a wonderful place to stay relaxed, only hear the breeze and the birds, excellent attention, an AAA food, clean cabins the kids really enjoy…

If heavean do exist, will be something like this. Great Service, nice People, beautiful place.

I was only there for a couple of hours but it was beautiful, clean, good food, and the fresh water lake was a nice lukewarm with a few small fish. Nobody was there to try and sell stuff.
