Review of Ocean Dream Cancun by GuruHotel 4*

Plant has come a little in the years. Since there are also many private owners living there is more of a residential complex. No hotel character. We had booked a sea view room and asked to book a room on the upper floors two weeks before departure. As we pointed out at the check in once again one had indeed the audacity to give us a room on the ground floor without even mentioning it at all. The bigger our surprise was when we got there. Of course we immediately went back to the reception and complained. We were told that it was supposedly the last room. After we had not let loose, after a long time we were given a room on the 4th floor with at least a partial sea view. They looked through two walls and had a view of a dump on the left. Of course, we continued to have our displeasure at the front desk, but nobody was interested. Although we pointed out that we have booked for 10 days and yet would like to have a corresponding outlook for us. Wished for a long time, we were no longer opposed. We were told that we could try it again for the next few days. As I got acquainted with local customs on the same day, I tried my luck again the next morning at the reception. This time I had a 20 dollar note in my hand. At one time everything was made possible and we got a new room with wonderful views. There are a lot of security guards that are careful not to allow unauthorized persons to enter the facility. Unfortunately, they are also careful to comply with arbitrary rules. So we were not allowed to stretch the parasols at 35 degrees in the shade, because it was supposedly too windy, which was completely exaggerated. When we were to lie down from the upper pool with down in the shade, we were abruptly pointed out that it was also not allowed to move the sun beds. On the question why that is so, unfortunately, we had no answer for us. The security forces have made it a pleasure to accuse the guests of misconduct. Sorry, but this facility lacks any service thought. It is fair to mention that the pool area is nice to look at and the waiters of the restaurant and bar were all very accommodating. Therefore, there is a grade better.
