One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Service is second to none, waited on like kings and queens. Entertainment was awesome, especially the foam party. They have a great selections of drink, amazing restaurants and the food was awesome. I’m sure I’ll come back a stone heavier! Room was perfect, the bed I could get lost in it’s so comfy. If I could give this hotel an 11 out of 10, I would. P. S the beach party was fun!

Excellent attention, we did not see the need to leave the hotel much because of the entertainment options of the hotel team, the varied restaurant options, my family was satisfied.

My family and I stayed here. We loved our experience. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is in need of basic upgrades. It’s extremely clean. Food was plenty in the buffet area but no real sit down food. Travel to and from airport was greatly organized. The hotel needs to update its AC! It’s extremity hot in the foyer and the elevators. There isn’t much to do in regards to night life either no club life, no casino no DJ. Restaurants all close by 11:30 with nothing open and no room service is available. There is a gym which is great. Pools are clean and they try to have activities just not enough in the evening. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Next time I’d use a different chain of RUI.

Nice hotel location. Most staff are great. Not good if you lose your ristband in town they charge you 2650 mexican pesos approx £70. Yesterday the water went off for 6 hours plus. Food is okay very much the same every day. Swimming pool isn't the cleanest 3 days not fridge or drinks replacementin the room. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Would we stay again… probably not.

Riu Caribe 5* but is more like a 3/4*. Terrible traffic noise. Rooms need updating, but very clean. The staff are very helpful. Pool area and beach area very nice. Main buffet restaurant good choice and food very nice, but the three themed restaurants are very disappointing. The three themed restaurants are rarely open, you can’t book times so you get turned away all the time. The food choice and quality is below 3*. Entertainment package lacking quality. This has put us off choosing a Riu hotel again. We would not recommend.

Everything was wonderful but the pool was freezing! Very disappointed about that.

I found it very likedc, well located and a good price, the breakfast was buffet and was good. The pools were clean. It would gladly come back very good attention.

Hello friends, visitors Q come to can cun, I can recommend this hotel, is very nice, elegant, with a view of the best of can cun. And at a very fair price Q goes from the 1.400.00 x night and if T stayed from 2 to more nights of gifting breakfast. And like it has convenience store with prices all accessible. It's worth knowing.

The hotel was ok and in a decent location. This hotel is best if you don’t have much money but I wouldn’t recommend a couple or a group of friends to stay there because it’s not worth it. There are no good restaurants near the hotel besides the small restaurant across the street that sells better burgers. The restaurant that the hotel provides is actually across a snall street in a small building. The food was ok but definitely not worth $17. The beds are very close to brick hard and if you were to fall back on the bed you could hurt your back. Also, THERE IS NO Wi-Fi IN ANY ROOMS! People have to sit in the lobby to use Wi-Fi! Then there was an incedent where one of the maids stole money out of my purse in the closet. Every day prior to that day I was in the room when the maid came and the one day I left she stole money. I then took it up with the manage EDUARDO and he was very DISRESPECTFUL, didn’t want to help and threatened to kick me out because he claimed I was yelling but there was no yelling. He then said there was a process of checking cameras and deep investigation. However, he refused to check cameras, refused to give me her name, and refused to help at all. so I warn you all, if you have money do not stay here! if you care about common curtousy, do not stay here! if you dont want to smell sewage all through the bathroom, do not stay here! People very friendly and well service, only the restaurant is very expensive if their prices were at 80% of what they charge they would have more people and would take better advantage of the space, otherwise soon succumb or will be a local phantom.

Budget Hotel area, rooms are not bad but could improve has nice garden and has pools the only detail was the breakfast included if you do not arrive early and do not reach anything and and only give you what they want, also another good detail and s Q you keep your suitcases after the check out you can even be in the garden area and pool in what you leave your flight.

Modest and very accessible hotel zone in Cancun. Excellent choice. From there you move to where you want.

The whole service is fine but there was only one elevator to get off and up. He was broken up. And there is no wi fi in the rooms, you have to go down to the lobby or the garden. The hotel restaurant is very cheap, they serve you well and fast and the waiters are really very helpful.

Nice hotel with very nice rooms. Is about 14 km away from the centre. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast is included depending on the arrangement. The Cupons must be picked up at the reception. Wi-Fi only works in the restaurant and Bedinngt at the reception. There is a diving school in the hotel. In the morning the swimming pool is occupied by the diving school. The water quality of the swimming pool could be better. In front of the hotel there is the mooring of the motor yachts. Hotel has no sea view. Reception is friendly and helpful. There is also a travel agency.

I liked it very much, it is clean, comfortable and has spectacular views. And the people who cater are excellent are attempted with the people staying at the hotel.

It's a confortable hotel, cheap and clean. A very good option if you don't pay much and you want to stay in the hotel zone.

The hotel is good but on the last day while we went to their restaurant to have breakfast I emptied the money out of the wallet, besides that the attention is not the best, I would think to stay there.

I would rate it negative if possible. Stay away. Two friends and I were desperate for a room and we came to Calypso hotel because there were rooms available. It was late at night (1:30 AM) and we just needed a place to sleep. Upon arrival in our room, no lights, air conditioning or electrical outlets were working. We called the front desk (Erika) and she sent someone up to turn on the electricity. We had told the worker that the air conditioner was not working and was advised to wait a while for it to begin pumping cold air. The room was scorching hot — much warmer than outside. We all took cold showers and tried to sleep while we waited for the air conditioner to begin working. After waiting two hours, we finally called downstairs again about the problem. They sent another maintenance guy up to our room where he tried to fix the air conditioning. After him realizing that the air conditioner was broken, we asked to switch rooms. After FINALLY switching rooms, getting settled in, and getting the new air conditioner in the new room to work, we all went to bed at around 5:30 AM. Being exhausted from a long day, it was unfair to have to deal with this problem. That same morning we had to wake up at 11:00 AM to check out at 12:00 PM. When we went to check out, I advised the assistant manager and the front desk receptionist of what had happened.

The hotel is really nice in every way, the rooms are well maintained, lots of light and clean. The internet is superb, common areas are very quiet, clean and comfortable. We reserved with food included at the restaurant and the portions are big, the food delicious and plenty of dishes to pick from. The staff is very friendly and will answer all your questions. Would stay again.

Food is too expensive and not good tasty. Also staff added tip himself as too much for food quality. Hotel is good for stay night.

Simple, no fuss rooms with two pools in the back. Great option if you're not looking to spend all day in the hotel. Restaurant is unpretentious and good. Elevator only accommodates four riders at a time so patience is good, there's no safety boxes in the room, they're located down in the lobby near reception.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at the Calypso hotel. The room was nice and big. Everything is nice and clean. We had amazing views of the ocean! The complimentary menu was expansive. The best part of the experience was the staff! I hope you book the hotel and enjoy your stay just like we did!

Nice hotel, some problems with the water.

Our stay at Calypso was okay; the room was clean and nice, all rooms have views of the ocean and shorter hotels. The airconditioning was very good. The hotel had a pool (though somewhat cold) and good access to stores and buses. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions. Two major downers were the hot showers (we usually had about 3 to 5 minutes of hot water before it turned Luke warm) and the airconditioning made weird noises when it was very windy outside. We knew there would be no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but even the Wi-Fi in the lobby can be very slow when many people are connected (which often happened in the evenings)

Cozy Hotel to sleep but not to spend the day in the.

The hotel is within the good, the pesimo is the treatment of the seňorita of reception of the early morning shift and the consierg that has no education and preparation. Do something because in truth q them demeritarn the hotel. For that alone I give it 1 star. Change to those two people.

Rooms clean and very cosy, with all amenities, including parking if you rent a car, the prices are affordable and is located opposite the pier which sets sail to Isla Mujeres, just 50 metres away, 2 pools that I can say it is a cute hotel. ;or recpmiendo and we will be there again, because your staff is first class.

The truth is very good service and the friendliness of its staff of 10… which, to me, counts for a lot… very clean facilities… and then if you come back in the same plan that I came to rest at ease…

Hotel was average (depending on the point of view, border to below or above). It's conveniently located, meaning not by the beach, but close enough, not close to town, but easily accessible by bus or taxi. (Bus= 8.50pesos/US 0.80) Just across the road, there is the "Embarcadero", which is the ferry to Isla Mujeres (a must go island/beach/place). The pools are old, and small, but you can enjoy a nice "splash" considering Cancun is generally very hot. The rooms are clean, the decor reminds of Miami/80's but the mattresses are brand new (we even saw some rooms having a new decor/mattress arriving). The restaurant is very limited, but the food is ok. If you are in a budget, the convenience store is by the hotel. The staff was "OK", helpful but not extraordinary. With the exception of a guy called Francisco, who seemed to be a "handyman/security/doorbell/delivery/etc", he was exceptionally polite and helpful. We would stay there again if the rates are "ok" and are in a budget. Stayed March 2012, travelled as a couple.

If we liked a lot! Impeccable room all the time and with sufficient space, a very nice and also very clean pool. It is not luxurious but very cozy and mostly clean. With an excellent location and for my the more important quite economic. The only thing that seemed well wasn't that there is no Wi-Fi in the room, only in the lobby, by the others if it is recommended.

This hotel is great, is cheap and the rooms are big enough.

This hotel is awful! we must of been to only ppl stayin in it. The pool was dirty and looked un-used for like a yr. The bar next to the pool had never been used it was dirty, rubbish everywhere. Nowhere near anythin! we walked for an hour and a half and still was nowhere near the main strip with all the clubs bars and resturant. Our room had a balcony but the door was broke and didnt open. You want my advise STAY AWAY!
