A perfect week in the heart of Oxaca! Gracias posada don Mario.

It is very well located in relation to the centre and the enclosure of the Guelaguetza. They try very hard to clean all the spaces. It's very quiet and the deal we loved, they made it easy for us to contact operators for the tours and to save on the transfer to the airport. Breakfast is simple and very rich. Of the best hostels I've stayed in. Definitely an excellent choice!

This is an intimate, welcoming and affordable place to stay in Oaxaca. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. There is a public balcony in addition to a lovely breakfast area. The staff is friendly, helpful and patient with non-native Spanish speakers. In addition, many of the staff speak English and can give directions and assistance in either language. The breakfasts are fantastic — — fresh, different every day, with juice, protein, coffee or tea and fresh fruit, tortillas and bread with excellent home made jam. The hotel itself is a 10 minute walk on well-lit streets to the Zocolo. There is Wi-Fi. The hotel staff can arrange competitively priced tours of the area. The owner is a wonderful woman who is on-site all day and well into the evening. She works with her staff, serving breakfast, welcoming guests, offering advice about the area, and good conversation. Posada Don Mario is mi casa in Oaxaca.

The rooms are not well equipped. The water went out all over the bathroom when you were taking a shower, and the rooms had a weird smell. The staff rushes you to leave the room from 11 am even went in to "clean" when you still sleep. Definitely wouldn't come back.

It is very comfortable the hotel and is in very good area of downtown Oaxaca, breakfast Dan is very rich, what I did not like were that some rooms the bathrooms are shared.

Recently Terry and I discovered this place, a corner full of peace and color open to the possibility of all of us who joined our pet. Later we will be carrying out the project where we will initially show and its beauty and ideal places to travel with your best friend, of course POSADA DON MARIO was an important part of our mentions because its kindness and attention, as well as excellent decoration, are deserving of an upcoming visit.

Great place to visit the city and have a quiet hideaway. I will ALWAYS come back!

The staff are wonderful, helpful, kind and the breakfasts, oh yum. Room was kept clean. Close to everything touristy. Nearby to public transport, A great laundry around the corner and a marvelous market around the other corner. The Mexican theme with colour everywhere makes up for a little tiredness around the edges. I spent 17 days here and I would go back.

It is a hotel with great service The rooms are comfortable although the bathrooms are rare. It has a TV and Wi-Fi apart from that they give you a map and indications and options of tur.

Excellent place to rest! And a very good service.

Stuff: very friendly rooms: clean with mexican character facility: could be modernized breakfast: you can choose between continental and mexican breakfast (we chose continental and it was very good) security: no locker for luggage negativ: at the day of departure we didn´t get a breakfast Result: The Posada Don Mario is a familiar Hotel with good ambiance. Just a short walk to the centre of the city. The tour we booked to Monte Alban was really good and we could borrow a hat for this. If you want a quiet accommodation Posada Don Mario is a good choice.
