Iguana Hostel Oaxaca Hostel

Great people who labura there, very friendly and piolas, good beds, good common areas, ostia terrace and good location. See you in a few weeks.

Loved our at stay at Iguana. There was a great atmosphere, regular events on the rooftop, lots of common areas for socializing and a huge kitchen with all the amenities. Staff are super helpful and friendly, and breakfast is included. The bed arrangements were a nice added touch (gotta hate bunk beds). Can't fault it and will definitely return again if in Oaxaca De Juarez.

I did not like it at all but I found other travelers that love this hostel. Different stroke for different folks. It's not for me. Nice I need tho.

Great experience, the communal breakfast and rooftop bar/terrace makes it so easy to meet all the great people staying at Iguana. Even the 16 people dormitory is very confortable (no bunk beds). Very good location too. Felt like home, safe and great vibes.

Good hostel, quite central, I pleased with the common areas, which has, without doubt an excellent place to live and meet people and they can get to know the city.

Great comfy hostel close to all the nice places to visit in Oaxaca. The dorms are cool with several levels of beds instead of bunk beds. There are even some dividers for a little privacy. Each bed has multiple outlets so you can charge all your devices. And there are several bathrooms and showers so you should never have to wait for your morning hygiene routine.

A very pleasant and extremely affordable hostel in the very centre of Oaxaca with in-house activities such as barbecues, bar and film nights. Facilities are highly functional — hot water, sizeable kitchen, bed light and multi tap plugs by every bed. Fun vibes. The decor is a little worn and down to earth though — don’t go expecting too much luxury!

Great hostel, friendly staff and owners, big kitchen with all the amenities. 4 different sized dorms and 3 private rooms so there is a price for all budgets. Movie nights at the rooftop cinema were fun and the rooftop bar was a great place to socialize over a beer/mezcal. Also got some great food recommendations from the staff members, thanks guys!

Really relaxed space with nice staff. There is a cool rooftop bar, and the beds are comfortable. There are medium sized storage lockers (though people tend to just spread all their stuff on the floor because their baggage is too big) and a nice kitchen. For a budget option it is very good. I would return.

A little hard to find if you havent saved the exact location but the great location (just a short walk from downtown) makes up for the initial confusion. — extra clean

— rooftop is wicked my only suggestion : make a small area of the rooftop "drunk proof" and make it the only accessible area for people to hang out during quiet hours.

Wow Iguana hostel was one of my favorites out of my Mexico trip, super cheap, amazing staff, atmosphere, cool vibe, very clean, GREAT beds. Fantastic location, really loved my stay here and by far the best staff out of the 4 different hostels I stayed at all over Mexico. Will 100% return my next visit to Oaxaca City.

The high ceilings and open spaces greet you as soon as you enter the hostel. Plenty of room in the dormitories rather than as in some hostels which try and pack as many bunks as possible into the available space​. Roof top areas to chill and a decent kitchen area. Welcoming staff and owners. Definitely worth a stay here. Glad it was recommended to me.

Great location, atmosphere and space. With a new cinema on the roof, lookout point and rooftop terrace and bar. No need to look any further. Chilled vibes and lovers of food making — the kitchen is the heart and soul where the markets of oaxaca come to life in your bellies. Thanks team :)
