I would give 10 starts if possible. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed like family. The staff every single one of them are amazing people, very informative, respectful, kind, and best of all they are extremely educated. Most of them can speak 2-4 languages. They know every single corner of Oaxaca and will tell you what’s open and what’s not. They also have a lot of connections with tours for a great price. The breakfast is better thn most fancy restaurants. I usually wake up at 10 but staying here I wanted to be up by 8am every day!
I can go on and on about this hostel. All I can say. I highly recommend hostal central. It’s an incredible hostel. And you can bbq

We went to Oaxaca very close of Christmas season last year and we spent our week in Hostal Central, its a great place to stay, super cheap and very close of pretty much everything, they offer free Wi-Fi, breakfast, they even have a kitchen so you can cook yourself and its like 2 blocks away of a gigantic market where you can find everything, they also provide assistance with finding tours, they have 2 areas where you can just hang around a beautiful outside garden, and a living room on the top floor. The staff is the best thing of all, if you ever go to Oaxaca, dont look for anything else, this is the right place.
