Very good hotel, great location, fair rate and very friendly sir (buttons). But one thing that did not seem to us at all is that by logistical errors they forgot to put some towels in our rooms, and they charged me at the check out… obviously we did not think it was a very direct accusation and they violated our integrity as a family … but finally we paid the fee, it was excellent the stay but for that simple event… we will never stay in the.

It is well located, you can get to the temples and typical areas without problem, also to the shops. It's clean and safe. The beds can improve, they are a bit hard and in my case I go for work, missing an area where you can work comfortably with the computer.

Since you enter the attention is very good, does not have elevator or parking but help you to get the luggage up to the room, I had no problem during the whole stay, the rooms in the background are very quiet and free of noise, there was always water they are very comfortable and above all clean. Television with cable and very good internet signal. If something you don't like you, you'll be given the option to change as long as there's availability.
Just a few steps from the zocalo, for me it was perfect!

Excellent location, super close to downtown and my looks the area is safe. The rooms are OK if you are not fussy. The only detail was that in the shower I stopped leaving water and I could not bathe: (fortunately we were with a group of friends and one of them let me bathe in your room. Many steps (I had no problem, but notice in case they bring people with problems walking), do not go to the cafeteria but have service. There are shops quite close by and pharmacy. Recommended!

It is a hotel with small rooms, and even smaller bathrooms. It's not very comfortable in many respects. It is a hotel for travelers who only go to sleep, without expecting much from the hotel. The atmosphere is very noisy and the hotel managers do not have attitude of service. Lousy experience.

The only good thing is the location. The cleaning is good but not excellent, the design of the rooms is impractical and uncomfortable plus they do not have cots or mattresses for extra people. The bathrooms of the rooms are horribly small.

Very nice place, excellent customer service, parcel services even if you have already given your room which is excellent for touring the place without having to load, right on the corner of Oaxaca's Zócalo. The only bad thing is that a TV didn't work (I had two different rooms) out of that all right. As tip: It comes cheaper to book on the Internet than in the place I was there to book a page and I made it valid without problems.

This centric but that is the only thing that has attractive, dirty rooms, hot water in the bathroom there. The TV does not work control or say and TV is not as advertised on the internet everything is a hoax, only local channels and staff attention is lousy it seems that you're going to ask them for alms is the worst of the worst and that if expensive expensive.

It's a good value for money. The hotel was very clean. Very nice people. But there's a lot of noise in the night. If you go alone or relax if you want. If you want to rest or go with babies you have to evaluate the noise.

Excellent Wi-Fi service! But we reserved a full size bed but they gave us 2 twins. Not a big deal. And they were very nice.

A good hotel to stay in the Zocalo of the city, the beds very comfortable and all very clean. However, the best area is in the tourist corridor, this hotel does not have its own parking there is an extra charge, no elevators, hot water takes a lot.

We had one of our worst stays ever. We don't complain normally and are low budget travelers, but here we really felt that we needed to warn people for this hotel. After doing an online booking we received a room which was not the one we booked and had a broken glass in the window to the hallway. This gave a lot of noise into the room and we didn't felt not secure especially for our belongings. We complained and it took us very long to get another room as they were saying first that all rooms were occupied. We received another room which was worse. The window, which was very thin, was looking at a room where all machinery for the hotel was standing. All machines were making terrible noises and restarting every 10 seconde. We had the feeling that we were sleeping in a factory. We had no sleep that night.

The friendly staff at the Gala make up for the deficiencies of the rooms. The rooms that overlook the street are noisy, but few of the other rooms have fresh air. Rooms on the top floor can vary between close and stifling. It is an older place, and the central staircases are elegant with small wrought iron balconies. Being older, there are not many plug outlets in the rooms, so it would be smart to bring a multi-plug if you are charging more than one phone. The location right by the Zocalo makes it a short walk to many of the attractions of Oaxaca. The great staff here are the hotel's principal asset, making it safe and congenial.

Great location! Pretty colonial building. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Major complaint was our room was very small and only 2 accessible electric outlets. The beds 2 twins were like sleeping on a rock. The 2 windows face a interior hallway, not ideal for privacy.

The hotel is very well located (at the corner of the Zocalo), its rooms are cozy, the cleanliness of the site is exceptional, its staff is very friendly, I would definitely book again with them.

Very cozy and very quiet Hotel to rest. Located a few steps from the Zocalo, and close to the markets. The price is very affordable. Friendly staff and always looking forward to answering doubts and questions. I would recommend by far this option if you visit Oaxaca, stay at this very nice and cozy hotel.

Very good service, I only lacked hot water, as it took a long time to go through all the pipes. But then all OK.

For 180 pesos less per night, I would give it 4 stars. Room and bath was clean"-ish". Tile floors lead to much indoor noise. But location and service were good.

A nice place to rest to the colonial styles.

Horrible, it needs to be remodeled, the internet there doesn't work and the only thing that causes the cell phone data to be locked. It has no elevator and the beds are hard.

Located in the city centre, the Gala hotel is really practical when you want to visit Oaxaca, the service is good, the rooms have what you need.

Two stars but only because they're friendly and rooms are cheap. I booked 3 nights but only stayed one. Noise echoes and the windows open into the lobby and hallway, no fresh air. No AC, fan sounded like an airplane engine. The beds are so hard, sleeping on the floor might be as comfortable. No hot water. No. Hot. Water… The few hours I did sleep I was attacked by some kind of bugs and have bites all over my legs. I'm really afraid I'll bring home bed bugs if I don't wash all my clothes on returning home.

The hotel is nice for the price you pay, but in my room only had 2 outlets, including the bathroom, and insufficient if you are more than 1 person. But this is roughly 30 metres from the zocalo and 2 blocks from the market on 20 November.

Rooms a little small but comfortable for the night, facilities are very clean and quite close to the center. There is Wi-Fi and pulls well throughout the hotel.
