This is an excellent place to stay in Oaxaca. The location is very central. There are many excellent restaurants, bars, and historical landmarks within easy walking distance. Oaxaca is a great eating and drinking town so on the weekends it can be quite busy and there is some noise from the street. If you find the sounds of happy revelry to be unpleasant perhaps Oaxaca is not the right town for you.
This hotel has a warm and hospitable staff. They were kind and helpful at every turn. The rooms are well appointed with modern conveniences. Some of the suites suites open into an inner courtyard while the smaller rooms enjoy a lovely view of the city.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Would give ten more stars if I could! One of the best hotel experiences I have had. Atmosphere was incredible — beautiful courtyard with soothing fountain. Rooms were gorgeous with top of the line amenities. Could not have asked for better service. There was always someone to help me with anything and everything we needed. Breakfast was incredible! Delicious local coffee, fresh juices, beautiful presentation and traditional options from chilequiles and chicken tortilla with mole. Location was amazing! So convenient to restaurants, museums, and markets. I would go back and recommend it to everyone!

I was in Oaxaca for the first time for a wedding and had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff is warm and welcoming, going out of their way to remain flexible to accommodate my plans. They also set up a lovely walking tour for me, which was a trip highlight! The space is beautiful and breakfast in the courtyard was a lovely way to start each morning!

The Ebano Boutique Hotel was a great experience for us when we recently traveled to Oaxaca! The rooms were very nice and the Staff was so accommodating! Carlos was such a huge help to us with his recommendations of things to see in the area and also made sure we were taken care of when we were at the hotel.
Breakfasts were very tasty. Rooftop had excellent views of the city at nighttime, don't miss going up there!

My family and I just finished a 4-night stay at this hotel and we cannot recommend it enough! The staff, especially Carlos, were all so kind and so accomodating during our entire stay. This was our first time in Oaxaca, so Carlos helped us plan two full days of sightseeing and gave us the best recommendations. The included breakfast is delicious and they have a great variety to choose from; we looked forward to it every morning. The hotel is in a perfect location if you’d like to walk around town and explore, and the rooftop terrace gives you beautiful views of the city. We absolutely loved staying here!

We just completed a 5 day stay at this wonderful property now called Ebano under new ownership. The rooms were spacious, luxurious and extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel staff could not do enough to please us in every way possible. The rooms included breakfasts which were excellent and would suit most tastes. We would definitely return to this property when we inevitably return to this magical city. Highly recommend!

We had a week in this hotel and I would say it was an excellent stay. We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The staff was warm and helpful, making us feel very welcome right away. Our room was beautiful, spotless, quiet and very comfortable. We specially appreciated Carlos and his team. We had a great breakfast, quick check in and Carlos gave us a guide and suggestions where to go and where to eat. He went above and beyond to make my birthday very special.

We wanted to share how incredible our recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico was, largely thanks to the exceptional staff at Palacio Borghese. Don Carlos and Farid, in particular, went above and beyond to enhance every aspect of our stay.
They ensured our rooms were meticulously cared for, provided refreshing drinks every time we returned to the hotel, and offered a fantastic list of must-see attractions, all within walking distance. Their coordination of reliable transportation with local taxi services was also invaluable, contributing to a truly five-star hotel experience.
The hotel itself is unique, with the charm of a converted home or villa, making it feel very cute and cozy. The entire staff was wonderful, and the food from their menu was delicious.
I am already looking forward to when we can return. Palacio Borghese is truly a must-stay in Oaxaca.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their kindness and attention really made us feel like more than just guests and it was a high point of the trip to Oaxaca. The room was very comfortable with good bed/pillows, AC. The room was very clean. The bathroom is a bit dated, but very well maintained and clean. The location was great with the zocalo and Santa Domingo church nearby along with many shops and restaurants. Noise at night was fine on weeknights, but on the weekend, noise from a rooftop bar across the street meant a pounding bass until around midnight. It wasn't too terrible with the windows closed, but it was audible so if you're sensitive to noise, this might not be a great fit for you. The continental breakfast was simple but delicious and the service was great. The roof top patio area offers nice views of the city. I was very happy with the Palacio Borghese.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Very ideal location and staff are extremely kind and helpful. The attention to detail is admirable. Continental breakfast was delicious as well as the meals they have available on their menu. I would book at this location again.

Bed was phenomenal pillows and Room took me away to Europe. Staff was Excellent Carlos, Farid, and Jose were all Attentive with Information about local spots in Oaxaca and very resourceful. The Hotel was Squeaky Clean and serene. The breakfast was good. As well as lunch.

This place was such a pleasant stay. The employees were super helpful and friendly. They really made our trip a breeze. The location of the hotel is perfect too since you're at the center of town. The employees even helped us schedule a taxi (who spoke English) to take us to Monte Alban. Yes the rooms are older but they have charm and they are kept extremely clean. You can hear a little street noise but that's to be expected since you're at the center of town with bars and restaurants around.

Hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. They take care of you like if you were at home.
The location of the hotel was great, you can pretty much walk everywhere. Overall 10/10

Palacio Borghese is excellent. Ideal location: just a block from key attractions like Santo Domingo and a short walk to the Zocalo. Rooms are spacious. We stayed in Venezia (the stand-up show was lovely) and Siena (street-facing but still very quiet). The hotel has a lovely internal courtyard where they serve continental breakfast. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. They also have excellent sightseeing and restaurant recommendations — like a mole tasting at Los Pacos Restaurant. The staff also make transportation arrangements for us to visit the Zapotec ruins in Monte Alban. This place is special. It truly felt like staying with caring folks in a grand colonial mansion. The manager, Don Carlos, is exceptionally excellent.

This missionary house converted hotel is located centrally and in walkable distance to churches and market. About 30 min ride from the airport. The staff is very responsive and accommodating. Excellent breakfast choices with many vegi options. I like the fact that we need to ring the door bell to enter as makes it very safe. Hotel and rooms are very clean and has all the necessary amenities. It’s is located close to jazz club so music is loud till about 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Many restaurants in walkable distance to enjoy Mexican food.

We stayed here four days and enjoyed our experience. The staff was always helpful even when making a reservation over the phone. The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable for Mexico.
There are only eight rooms in the hotel so amenities are very limited.
We haven’t stayed in a bed-and-breakfast for a long time, but just know that the breakfast is continental – fruit and bread and coffee and juice.

The hotel is in a fabulous location and in impeccable condition. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and made the entire stay fantastic by providing great recommendations of things to do both in and around town. They recommended great restaurants and economical options for tours to the archeological sites. The included continental breakfast was a great way to start the day.
