Super recommended. The staff is super friendly, the facilities are adequate and for the godin that we carry inside the internet is great.
If I return to Vallarta I stay here again.

All its aviation very clean its food very rich and you are attended very quickly by very attentive staff.

Such a quaint historical hotel with reasonable prices and super friendly staff. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and didn’t mind having to stay an extra night when our Covid test results came back too late for our flight back to the US.

This place is a bit more traditional. The pool is always clean and the food is good. Happy Hour twice a day and friendly staff! Show up early to get a seat for breakfast. No beach but good view. Please note: prices went up in 2020-especially if you are just trying to use the pool for the day. More than tripled, even if you buy food and drinks there.

We love having breakfast and lunch at this lovely old hotel near the Malicon in Puerto Vallarta. Everything is fresh and well presented. The staff is friendly and provides great service.

The restaurant is wonderful and all of the staff here are incredible! I have been here many times and wouldn't consider any other hotel when I'm in Vallarta.

Ok… So if you are wanting the "resort" experience this is not the place for you. BUT if you are wanting the real old Puerto Vallarta STAY HERE! We went for a medical vacation and stayed 15 days. Everything from check in to check out was perfection. The view, the pool, the beach, the proximity to anything you could possibly need, omg. Let's talk about the staff. The first guy that greeted us was Nemo, super helpful and kind. Front desk staff was always able to point us where we wanted to go (we used a translator on the phone, no communication problems) and they were very alert to the coming and going of visitors. No one came to my room without them calling to ask first. The free breakfast is delicious fruit, coffee (pretty good coffee I might add), juice and some toasted bread. Loved it. We ate several meals at the restaurant it was always good. Esteban and Pedro took amazing care of me while I recooped in the room from surgery. They even would call to see if I needed anything. Being in the room most of my trip we rented a fridge (30$ for 15 days) and that was worth every penny. Our room was clean and the bed comfy. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The view from my balcony was beautiful and I got to watch so much cool stuff that happens right near the hotel that even tho I couldn't walk and enjoy I almost felt I didn't miss a thing. The restaurant across the street is aahhhmmaazziinng. The Indian flyers, the Malecon, all of it. I doubt we could ever stay anywhere else.

Family stayed there last minute, the suite was large and the restroom was cute with colored tiles and updated sink. The hotel was quaint and has a long history in Puerta Vallarta. It is the oldest hotel of the city. Literally attached to the board walk. We stayed longer and enjoyed the hotel. You can walk around visit one of the many stores near by. Good local places to eat are near by as well.

It is a traditional hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Its rustic style gives it a lot of presence. You can live a pleasant stay at an affordable price. The location is excellent (at the beginning of the boardwalk). The receptionists are nice and the attention of the receptionists is nice. The buffet is inexpensive and tasteful. The rooms are small but comfortable as they include cable TV, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Overall the hotel is ok, I highly recommend it and clear that if I stay again at this place.

The hotel is in remodeling, the room was simple and had no shelves to place clothes, just a tube with hooks, the best all bathroom furniture and enclosure, good choice in downtown Vallarta, staff very friendly.

The hotel is very good, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are very nice. But. But. We found two cockroaches between the sheets, the kitchen cockroaches, the chiquitas. Enough to lose a lot, as we don't sleep with all the confidence.

Being located at the beginning of the Malecon, it makes it very attractive. Since you don't need to move to find from a beautiful view of the bay, to the collection of sculptures placed all along your pedestrian street.

In cleanliness, warmth, kindness, attention to the guest are taken out a "10"; The rooms have that rustic touch, a good remodeling or color change would not hurt. It is an excellent hotel, take into account that we have returned 4 times.

Nice place… Traditional Jalisco style structure. Love it! The breakfast buffet needs to have a bit more variety… Less oil and more flavor… I did love the live music for breakfast!

I attended a graduation event the very nice reception, the place very nice and the food if they served very good; And the best of the hotel the location that is located in the Malecon of the city where you can do an endless activities.

The hotel. Is a great location for boardwalk information along the beach. It offers a nice private pool and goo sized rooms. The only pitfall to be aware of is if you get a room on the east side along the hotel you hear road noise throughout the night. So be sure to make a request for a room on a different side of the hotel.

I think it's the most history hotel in Puerto Vallarta, and I love it for its architecture. The rooms are very nice, the staff service is good and attentive and it can't be better than it is at the beginning of the boardwalk.

Excellent venue to go and watch the sunset, waves coming in or catch a glimpse of dolphins and whales. Food is reasonable priced. Happy hour was weird, arrived at 530 pm received drinks, advertised it's 5-6 pm, ordered another round at 555 pm, waiter said it's over, starts sometime before 5 and ends sometime before 6 that's why he brought us 2 drinks when we arrived. Really? Margaritas during happy hour weren't the best, after though, they're worth it. Drinks, Appetizers and Meal with tip, less than $40 USD.

A first hotel in the area that was built in 1948 and it starts to show. Good size rooms and location is perfect. Traditional Mexican style rooms are spacious.

The New Year's Eve dinner is perfect, the food is amazing it has a it's celeste flavor and very varied worse the variety is good i. E. Chicken, shrimp, meat, octopus, pasta… The experience was very good as there were raffles and a group singing live. Super recommended the New Year's Eve dinner.

Very beautiful place to stay. My only problem is the loud music that you can hear all the time, and we'll as the non soundproof doors. But the service is amazing. And it's right next to the boardwalk. It's in the ideal location.

Very good service. The restaurant surprised me because it is very good, the pasta arrabiata is delicious and the breakfast buffet is very good. The only cons is that the room I found was very small and too simple, but the pool and the location of the hotel, compensate.

Loved it! Rooms are colorful and beds are super comfy. There is AC available. Beach is not right outside the hotel but a short walk on the malecón takes you there. Clubs and restaurants are near by. No need for taxis. Affordable. This hotel is right in the heart of Vallarta — I just loved it!

The rooms are very clean. To rest this perfect almost no noise. The price is economical and the attention is excellent. The only thing against it is that it has no hotel parking, the cars are on the street.

The receptionist thinks they are the owners of the hotel. Classic symptom of someone who has a lot of time at the hotel. The taste and appearance of food is very poor. There are very attentive waiters but most of them give preference to foreigners. On the other hand the location is excellent and I think there lies the poor attention of the staff. They know that being at the beginning of the Malecon will not affect them to treat customers badly.

I just passed to have a chat with a friend who's staying there and by the time I been there it was like go back to the childhood and go to vacation with the family and visit those little towns with a nice and charming little hotel, so for me it's very lovely until I stay there properly.

Food and drinks were goods, and is an excellent location with lots to see. A little dated in some ways, but still charming.

I love this hotel's restaurant and the Mexican style and decoration. All the waiters are very friendly. Excellent location too!

Rooms looked cheap, so did the bathrooms. We had to switch rooms because our AC broke and they moved us to another room that leaked water from the front door when it rained. Food not that great either. It is a 2 star hotel anyway.

Room 206 had a loud ac, then they moved us to 205 where it smelled and the showers were clogged. Then we went to 101. We bought food to eat but when room service came they had thrown it out. They look through your bags. When I asked why, they told me they would let me know. Not one call back. The view made it a bit better.

Actually, We were there 6 years ago yesterday. A fabulous trip, hotel very clean and tidy. Food is delicious too. We much prefer the local charm over the tourist
" American style " hotels, to immerse ourselves in the culture. The walk thru art shows at museums is a must, there you can find out-of-the-way surprises for cafe, drinks, tapas or dinner. Highly recommend the Rosita Special drinks! A side trip up the mountain to the tequila distillery for lunch and tasty samples, very enjoyable. A 3 day side trip to Mazatlan wad also fun.

Let's be objective:
1. Location: great! Close to the center, next to the malecon
2. Cleanness: very poor, I even found hair from someone else in the shower (EWW! )
3. Food: I honestly didn't try it, so I can't give neither a positive, nor a negative comment.
4. Parking: no parking given; however, there is a paid parking lot one block from there and being that close you don't really need a car.
5. Facilities: they are Ok, the pool is next to the malecon with a great view to sunset and sunrise.

The hotel is ok, it's got a nice view of the beach and is close to the downtown area, prices are affordable and the staff is helpful. The Wi-Fi isn't good at all.

It was nothing special don't expect much from a 2 star hotel, it got really bad on the last day when on my moms birthday when she found a hair inside her bread, don't come here especially don't eat here. Just save your money and go somewhere else.

The location couldn't be more perfect, it's next to the beach, near to bars and supdrmarkets, in a little beauty and funny town. Clean andregular sizes rooms, this hotel its a nice and cheap place to stay.

Hello I love to stay with my family at the Hotel Rosita, the service is good, the staff is very friendly I would like they run some kind of promotion or preferential rate for frequent customers, since I'm always going to Easter and July.

1st hôtel of Puerto Vallarta. If you look for autenticity, you'll like this place. Since it's close from thé malecon, it can be noisy a bit.

It is an excellent hotel, very clean throughout, the food delicious, the staff friendly. In addition to the good control that is carried, is centrally located and has an amazing view.

The Rosita is an excellent choice for a vacation to Puerto Vallarta. It's location to Los Muertos beach and the Malecon is excellent. The views from the ocean side of the hotel are amazing. Though not a 5 star hotel the staff are awesome and make you feel at home. If you want to get a true feel for Mexico and it's wonderful people this is the place to stay.
