Bed bugs! Organic, essential oils do not kill these once you have an infestation! All mattresses need to be burned or heavily chemically treated. I assume that’s why they’ve had so many complaints. Owner was defensive and not at all willing to admit we had even been bit! He dismissed it as mosquitos bites even though we used the mosquito nets in the open air palapa and had the classic linear bite pattern. There is also no way to lock your room door. The huts just have a gate that shuts with a loop of string. No security. Even the resort has a wooden gate that’s held shut with a slab of wood. What a joke!
Hidden fees, charges and price gouging. Fee for cleaning services? Wind, sand, sun and sweat dripping while you eat.
Poopy toilet paper in every trash can.
Dogs everywhere! In the restaurant sprawled out, waking on your yoga mat, barking all day in front of the property during my massage.
What a rip off at $300 a NIGHT!

This is my second time to visit Present Moment. First time was with large group of adults. Second time was with my two younger children. Both experiences exceptional — the second being more enriching than the first as most of the staff were the same and recognized me so the familiarity made it extra special. It’s a gift the experience of staying at this resort and I think the staff consider working at the resort a gift too. You can see their joy and appreciation and that they are genuinely happy and that flowed onwards to us as their guest. Staff have that yogi inner glow which is wonderful to see. Love the yoga schedule in that it offers four classes a day and that the yoga platform is only ten seconds away so that I don’t arrive late and that it doesn’t take a car drive to get there. The wellness consultation which was part of my package was relaxed casual chatty and helped me to set intentions for my life back home. Great restaurant great food great massages great housekeeping. I put my phone away for the week and went off grid which I highly recommend doing but you don’t have to, there is Wi-Fi. We also went horse riding, boogie boarding and surfing. There are many other activities to do such as caving. Hiking, kayaking, ATV, snorkelling etc but in the end we were happy to go slow and only do a bit here and there and just relax.

Tranquil, peaceful, connect with self place. I love this place that change ME forever… the food is amazing, very clean, and everyone feels like a friend. Go and be changed for the good.

Present Moment provides the idyllic retreat setting. Ocean waves, sand, yoga, delicious and healthy food, lovely accommodations. Retreat, rest, rejuvenation.

The staff is wonderfully warm and caring. The property is heavenly, the plant-based meals were amazing. Even though I have to travel 10-11 hours to get there from MN, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I have stayed at Present Moment Retreat twice. Each time my experience was relevant to what I needed. The yoga is amazing, the other modalities and massages also supportive. There is so much to offer. You can really just get there and dive into your journey. The food and service is also top notch. Notably one year I rented a house on the beach and bought a punch card to go to classes at Present Moment. They opened a tab for me in the restaurant to enjoy dining there every night with my mom and young children (which is why we did not stay there…) and enjoy excursions, etc… then I closed my tab at the end of the week That was an over the top move on their part. Troncones is a great areas to land and I always have felt safe… sunsets await. I really cannot say enough.

Very relaxing atmosphere! The food was excellent and the drinks were great, too. Try something from the juice menu :) Breakfast was delicious and happy hour from 4-6pm with half price drinks and snacks is a great deal!

A week before I was supposed to fly to this retreat in Mexico, the state department issued a do not travel ban to this area. I spoke with Tom, the founder, who was both aggressive in his attempt to convince me to still come and harsh in his method of stating he will not provide a refund for over 1300 dollars I had placed toward the retreat. He did not provide any services, yet adamantly refused to provide a refund. He also expressed anti American sentiment in his statements multiple times. Safety concerns aside, I would never recommend this retreat if you are in search of wellness and a peaceful experience. The lack of compassion and integrity on the part of this organization was evident in my interaction with them. Also the word Namaste was blasphemed. Namaste means "the God in me salutes the god in you". The God I know wouldn't take people's money and then not give it back when they couldn't attend.

Recently stayed in Troncones and frequently visited Present Moment. Very relaxed and fun atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and excellent dinning. I would highly recommend to anyone, as there is something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed happy hour and open mic night!

Just spent a fantastic week at the resort. The location is breathtaking, the yoga experience fantastic with great facilitators, great beach too! The food is also amazing, every ocean front meal a delight. Resort staff have made our vacation a memorable one! Highly recommend it! Thank you! Miss you already!

Staff is fantastic. Food is great … only thing is there is kids here. This is advertised as a quiet place. This was not a cheap trip. I really just assumed there would be no kids here since I s a yoga retreat. I’m sorry. This is not a place to bring your screaming kids The grounds are awesome but the Yoga practice area is next to the restaurant. So when your practicing many times people are drinking and laughing about 20 feet away. Imagine shavasana with
Blenders running, dishes slamming and or babies crying. It’s frustrating cause if we had silence it would be truly an incredible experience Get rid of the kids. It would get 5 stars.

This place is a slice of heaven on earth. If you need some quiet time to reflect, eat nourishing food, treat your mind and body to yoga and meditation. Then you have to come see it for yourself. The people that worked there when I visited (Esp Michelle), are angels walking this earth.

This place is like a dream come true. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the people are sweet as can be, except for Manuel, (just kidding, he's our favorite), the food is to die for. Secluded beaches, cleansing meditation and yoga. My spirit feels revitalized already, and we're not even halfway through our vacation yet. I think we've found paradise… and we'll certainly be back.

My friend and I spent 8 glorious days and 7 nights at the oasis by the sea! It was one of the most amazing and tranquil experiences I have ever had on a yoga retreat! The property is immaculate, the food is 5 star, the staff was outstanding and location is breathtaking! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from it all!

Mediocre burger, extremely well done when asked for rare. Rather overpriced. Sort of cheesy band that played too loudly. But I very much liked the ambience and the curry and guacamole were quite good. Probably best for happy hour.

They have a tranquil yoga pavilion, yoga classes with trained instructors. The atmosphere is mysterious with bungalows with breathtaking views, evening sunsets, through the palms, waves crashing, extraordinary food and people.

Like other hotels in this part of Troncones, there's no safe ocean swimming?! For me, that's an important part of any beach vacation!

It has been too long since my first and last visit. A wonderful retreat with options for those that want complete quite and those that want a bit of adventure. Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, great yoga classes, massage therapy tailored to your specific needs. Counting the days until my return.

We visited Troncones two weeks ago and were delighted with the great service from staff. The food was super, fresh and nicely prepared. The yoga instructors knew what they were teaching and the massage people were also very good. A great place to go and truly relax and enjoy nature.

Absolutely a must visit for your next mexico beach vacation. This yoga retreat is more than just a yoga retreat. It is a hidden jewel. I have come here 11 times now over the years and it has become a 2nd home. The beaches are remote and peaceful, the retreat is gorgeous and high end with delicious, healthy food. The people the yoga retreat attracts are conscious and open, coming from all over the world. They have classes all day long that you can join in and pay as you go. American owned, the quality of yoga instruction, massage, classes, food, wine is the best I have found on my Mexico vacations. This is one boutique retreat hotel that you don't want to miss.
