There really aren't many things wrong with what the hotel is. The hotel facilities, rooms, restaurants, pools, disco, lobby and / or food, is very well and works great. The problem is the staff. My experience is with an acquaintance who went with my family and me to the holiday hotel. As this acquaintance is to dress a little street, you could see the discrimination towards the friend, and it was for me and many very impotent people to see him until the people (who were guests) claimed the staff who discriminated against him.
In other problems, I touch myself and some family members who did not respect the reservation to the restaurants…

It's a familiar place. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Its décor is very nice and elegant. There is water play area where children under 12 can play, there is also a space where you can let the kids do fun activities. The best restaurant for me is Italian. In the evening there is a very nice spectacle. The scenery is very beautiful. Visit him!

It's a very comfortable hotel, even though it seems to be old. It has two very large pools, one swimming pool area for adults only and one for children only. The rooms are comfortable but the best is the food, I really liked their variety, and the service of the hotel employees is very good, they are very attentive.

A huge hotel, clean, food is good and you have many choices; Of the 5 restaurants, the Mexican is my favorite. However the evening entertainment ends very early and there is not much choice.
I have been for congresses too, and it is very good choice of Congress for great attendance.

Spent a great 1 week here with my family (wife, 4 year old and 2 year old). Extremely family friendly with great facilities for adults and kids. Loved the food too. Best part about the whole stay was the exceptional service… everyone went above and beyond. I also recommend the $15 beach massages off the resort. Highly recommend this place for families… you won't regret it.

We love the hotel lots, but the way they tried to upsell us to the room they had already assigned us really left a bitter taste in our mouth. I stewed about it for a day and went back to give them a chance but there was no effort or even empathy about the situation. Once I let that go the vacation was awesome. Just not the way I wanted it to start. I love how the market is a short walk down the beach. There are some absolutely fabulous workers at this resort. The food selection was mostly great. If you go just be fully aware what you are getting.

I really liked the place and have seen the crocodiles this great, it hurts that there are so many differences with the local and international guests but anyway we enjoyed how nice.

We spent a week at the resort. The cleanliness of the rooms was great and the staff was very friendly. Here is why I rated it as 2 stars: We do not use the pool as we like to spend the time on the beach and in the ocean. The water was not clean/clear as advertised on the website. One day we could not swim because there were 2 crocodiles in the water where people including kids swim. When we mentioned to the reception staff they indicated that that is normal for them. For us our safety and the safety of our children is priority. The website was deceiving — the resort is 45 min away from the airport not 20 min as advertised. Food was same every day. All in all, I would not recommend this place to anyone and would not go there again even if it is free. If you are the person that spends time at the pool it may work for you.

This is a great hotel, the rooms are fantastic! The floating dock, boardwalk, access to island and market. The scenery is breathtaking and there is so much to do. The only real downside for me was access to coffee. I would definitely return to both Azuls!

I loved the service and the facilities. The rooms are spacious and make you feel at ease and the staff is very friendly except for one of the girls in the restaurant colors that gave us a bad deal, out of that all excellent. I loved the exclusive pool for adults.

We had an amazing time here at the Azul resort. The staff is amazing, so friendly and helpful. The view from the room and restaurants is just incredible! Bathrooms are kept clean, facility is well looked after. Shows were really good. Overall we had a wonderful time! The staff really makes this resort outstanding!

Nice hotel, good food and staff. Kids loved the pools, entertainment was decent. Overall loved the Ixtapa area.

Very good hotel, especially if you go in family plan. Very enjoyable for all the kids ideal for a good holiday.

If you're looking for a getaway place, look no further. I will return to this place every time K plan a resort visit. The only downside to the place was the time share sales sharks in the lobby. Very aggressive. Price was amazing with the current exchange rate, and worth every penny. The service in ever bar and restaurant was great. Some of the restaurants were reservation only and very nice. Free and endless drinks just never sucks. The tips are included in the charge but tipping the wait staff made sure my drink never emptied. The pools… So many and so beautiful. Warm water too. Endless fun for adults and kids. Plenty of lounge chairs with choices of shade or sun. I was disappointed the pools close at 7 PM though. The kid activities were great! They can go all day and do so many different activities. Mini golf! The nightly shows were a lot of fun and some of them were reservation dinner and show type. The beach was great, lots of lounge chairs, beautiful warm ocean water and lots of activities. Take the boat to the island for a day, you won't regret it.

Great hotel, great food, good activities, services, etc. It is a very complete hotel, it has 4 restaurants of different thematics, one is of seafood highly recommended and also the Italian restaurant is quite rich. It has two pools, mini golf course and in the part of the pool there is a cabin where they have an endless activities must be booked 24 hours in advance especially for boat ride.

How always excellent facilities. Good food and drinks.
The bad, the insistence of making you "partner. " While they want to convince you, they give you the tour and talk with you the "manager" are all very friendly, but when you tell them what you do not care, they become rude. But I won't stop going to the blue hotels, I'll just avoid another bad experience of that kind.

It is an ideal place to spend a holiday and rest.

This is the resort to go to when traveling to Ixtapa! everything and I mean everything is included in the cost. Very family friendly but when the kids are in bed there is more than enough adult fun. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Nice vacation! Everything was at the appointment the beautiful temperature the service full of activities and Super beautiful gym.

I really liked it. This place is for kids. Full of detail was thought for them.

Lousy service! We went right on the 24th of December and all the staff were rushing us, from the reception to the waiters! The only friendly person was the one who wanted to sell us the "timeshare" but it does not agree honestly! Very expensive and for you to run from the restaurants! And don't respect what you're told!

The mattresses are super uncomfortable. I was in a room under the play area bar. The music ended at 12 and it was fine.
But even the 4am cleaned and moved furniture. You couldn't sleep.

Excellent hotel, with the all inclusive is best enjoyed, the hotel is great for family vacation has excellent views and the beach part is very quiet, the staff extremely helpful, the pool area extremely clean, the waiters very attentive and bring your Quick service, I can say the hotel is superb and it is the perfect mix to have a great holiday, especially the family focus gives you an honorable plus.

Room: Not the best hotel to rest; The beds are not the most comfortable, but you can sleep well. With regard to meals, they are very good, I dare say it is one of the best, they have excellent service, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

I had high expectations for this resort and I left feeling a little let down. I have been to several all inclusive resorts and while I will be honest they are not my favorite, this was my least favorite. Let's start off with the positives… The rooms are top notch. I have never had rooms so nice in mexico before — huge 5 piece baths with a walk in waterfall shower, walk in closet, and a nice size patio with chairs for taking in that awesome view. Because of the way the place was built I think that every room has a view. Higher up and more South are better I think but all should have a decent sea view. Another nice thing was they did something special for our birthdays. The Oyster Bar has a nice setting for dinner and breakfast. We did the kayak tour which left from the neighboring resort and it was good. I think that is where the grandness stopped for me. The buffet compared to other all inclusives I have been to was so small, lacked flavor, and lacked any type of theme — it was like a cafeteria. The sit down restaurants were only a little better. They push the men must wear long pants at every restaurant, even put it on your reservations twice, but they do not enforce it. The food was ok but aside from the Oyster Bar and the poblano soup in the mexican I wasn't wanting to try anything again. The reservation system is a joke… they say there are no openings yet the restaurants are EMPTY. Drinks were a let down.

Hotel was in a great location but we had a bunch of problems with the hotel and staff right from the day we showed up. We were given a room with no balcony which we requested when we booked and came back down to the staff at the desk who seemed like she wanted to help us fix the problem. But when she went to a higher up she had talked to the manager in Spanish then came back to us and said we had to pay extra for the room that we already paid for. We ended up paying around $140 more which was really disappointing since we paid already. At one point me and my wife walked back from the beach In bare feet and was told by the security to put our Sandels on which we did, but he proceeded to be an ass to us as we were walking to the elevator and followed us and continued scolding us. On another evening I had went to the front to change some American money to peso and I’m not very good and the conversion and trusted the staff to do this for me only to find out later that we were ripped off some money! I’m also a Canadian aboriginal so locals mistaken me for Mexican in the hotel. I didn’t get the service I thought we should get. They treat locals less then tourist in the hotel so I also was treated that way as well unfortunately. Numerous times I was walked by by waiters when asking for a for a drink in their lounge to the point where they wouldn’t even serve my wife who is white. Even at the restaurants I had to get up for everything myself as they refuse to come to my table.

Excellent… This beautiful. The view is priceless! The buffet type food is not so good but with everything else it loses importance.

The service is quite good and cordial.
The food is also not bad, has a variety of restaurants with specialties and offers buffet meals in the majority.
The children's areas are very well maintained and have vigilance all the time.
The pools and schedules are suitable for the types of guests; Whether they are complete families or not.
They have shows every night and a lobby with activities throughout the day, including a nightclub, a gym, an area for children with independent activities, a spa and other services such as babysitters and tours.

Very good hotel with very good food, drinks, attention, I recommend.

Food leaves to be desired, publicity said it was only for adults but not so, the jacuzzi in the room was not good, but in general terms the hotel is good, this at ease and quiet, good to dry. Good to rest.

Limited dining choices. Mexican or chineese food. Excellent kids club! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accomadating. Only one bar open in the evening.

This is a great hotel for the family, it has a big area for the kids and activities for everyone. Right now the main pool and one restaurant are under maintenance, still, the rest is enjoyable. This hotel is apart from its twin hotel 'Azul Ixtapa Grand'. The junior suite is the best option for a couple or a small family.

A nice family oriented hotel. Friendly staff and clean rooms and communal areas. Nice food in the restaurants. I am. Not giving 5 stars, simply because there is almost no beach in front of the hotel, if you exclude 10 metres of a seaside strap that belongs to the hotel (I have seen other hotels with much better beaches in this town). Also they do not deserve my 5 stars, as they force people to pay the internet per day per appliance, which is a steal! They give you a username and password which would never work for the baby camera for example.

There is so much to do at AZUL IXTAPA HOTEL. Great place for the whole family. My youngest son enjoyed the kids club. Miss. Maria was great with the kids. Overall everyone is very friendly. Would love to come back!

The hotel itself is in good condition. The beach at the hotel is ok at best. Tides tend to be high making the sand flat and moist all the time. The view is pretty since there is an island across from the beach which looks magnificent. The service is spotless. Every employee and extremely well trained and polite. Multiple times have they gone beyond their duties to comply with requests. The rooms are constantly cleaned and any problem that was stumbled upon was fixed quickly. The atmosphere of the hotel is oriented for families. The pools, music and activities are set to make it enjoyable for people of all ages. I would not recommend this place if you are looking to spend close time with a loved one or partying. I would definitely recommend if you are bringing kids or a bunch of friends to relax.

Well this has been one of worst hotels I have ever been to I don't know how this hotel is even concider a 5 star hotel, first we try to chek in receptionist gives us the room keys for 5 rooms we go to the rooms and surprise the rooms are a mess, I go to the front desk to complain and receptionist tells us is gonna be approximately a 2 hour wait for the rooms to be ready but that we were more than welcome to use the facility as we please, we go to the swimming pool area the pool looks like a swam with a greenish color, the pool has a inpool bar wich is nice but the higiene is really poor lots of cups on the counter and some of them floating in the pool after the 2 hours past we go back to the lobby and surprise surprise the rooms are half way to be finish at this point we are jusr trying to settle in to change and go eat but we had to wait for the rooms to be ready and by the time we were ready there was no place to eat open but the snack area overall the hotel is just a joke I don't recommend it at all and I will probably never come back again.

It is the best hotel I've ever been in my life the service is very good and with a buffet restaurant changed the food every day and is very good the pool is very good temperature and everything is very well-5 stars it is worth the price.

Excellent room, all overlook the sea. The food is not great but they have lots of variety and very good. The pools are luxury. Staff very helpful and professional.

Me and my family went on a vacation. My dad is very picky on hotels and such, and after an hour of looking we found Azul Ixtapa. 4.8/5 Yaaaah. Lobby very friendly and we went into our rooms. I didn't know the rooms were actually saunas. The AC did not work! Well that's ok. Let's go to the pool. Unbelievably, we arrived to the pool and after ten minutes, the staff asks us to get out. They say that at seven pm they close! 7 PM! Ok, well just go get something to eat. We went to the "amazing" Italian restaurant they had there. Wasn't so amazing. For some weird goddamn reason, the food is sweet. Also, I got a lovey lasagna with dead spider sauce. Day2 We went to the pool and they brought us drinks. After one minute, looks like a beehive. I know it's not their problem. They have an all inclusive dinner so we went. My brother is 9 and my cousin is 3. We sat down listening to "not giving a f*** parents) leaving their kids do whatever they want. Ok time to eat. Adults: ok Children: UH NO There is absolutely nothing to eat for children. Do not go. Seriously guys, it's all low class people, and they steal Crocs. PS: Kudos to the advertising agency.

Here follow in the hotel… this well but lacks restaurants and beach very simple restaurant not like most of the very slow reservacines this system… take the riu palace Hotel idea… ok thank you is my opinion…

I just got back from my vacation there and I already went to go back! I LOVED it there, after reading a couple reviews was a bit nervous about going but im soooo happy I went! The staff is great, the rooms are cleaned with air conditioning, food is good and lots of activities… I highly recommend it you will not regret it!

Comida rica, personal amable, piscinas y banos limpios, aseo de la habitacion y toallas limpias, todas las instalaciones con adecuado mantenimiento, si regresaria, lo recomiendo!
