The food is one of the best in Ixtapa and the lodging is on an elite level. I highly recommend, in addition to its entrance to the beach that remains almost halfway through the Bay! I love everything and its pools are also nice and well maintained. All of very good quality.

The hotel is very nice, both at reception as well as the rooms, the pools and the beach. The service is very good, they always serve you with a smile and are aware that you do not miss anything. The food is delicious, in addition to the firm you can ask to be prepared whatever you want. The sand of the beach is very nice and clean. In the evenings there are always very eye-catching shows and in the day they do activities for both children and adults and adults. Definitely a highly recommended hotel.

Pool area is really nice. Rooms are run down and need remodeling. Service was ok. Had to go get my valeted car from 2 blocks away. Food was good not great. Needs a tiki style bar for adults. Area is awesome.

Tube el, pleasure to enjoy a nice vacation in this beautiful hostel, with a super good service, good food, drinks and a first class staff, highlighting the bar team where every night we were treated wonderfully and complemented with a first class live show, I remember a lot two great voices Yanile (from Cuba) and Eduardo (from Mexico) the very friendly always sang our orders in addition to being a good singer surprised us a a couple of times playing drums.! Excellent atmosphere and first class artists.! Highly recommend the hotel.

I loved it. Excellent food, I love that they include seafood! Everything has seasoning!. Amazing staff, always on the lookout and very friendly. The pool area is great for everyone to enjoy, there are lounge seating all over the area and on the beach the view is amazing. The only thing that could criticize you is the decoration since even though they are well preserved, the facilities and furniture is old.

The staff was wonderful from day one, the food and amenities made our stay a delight. Family and friends have been visiting this particular hotel for several years now and will continue to be in our vacations plan in the near future. I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel inside and outside with the help of the falcons to keep away the pesky birds (I was hoping to see one get tore up buy the falcon, but the hotel does not allow such spectacle). Make sure you visit Isla Coral with the guides that come offering the trip by the beach, you're supporting local business and the experience and dos are excellent.

Had a wonderful time room was nice, food was good, staff were GREAT! Married my best friend there and the concierge took care of everything ❤️ Wedding with vows barefoot on the beach complete with live saxophone music and rose petals was Incredible. Hotel’s photography studio did an amazing job of documenting our special day and providing us with a professionally choreographed high definition video. Thank you Barcelo for playing such a huge role in making my dream come true.

I really enjoyed this resort for the cleanliness, service; especially the service we got from Cristina Vazquez in the buffet restaurant. She always treated us like we were her good friends. The only 2 things that was disappointing was the Wi-Fi cost. At most resorts you actually get free Wi-Fi in the lobby or around the resort but here the cost for Wi-Fi is unreasonable. The noise levels on the side where the entertainment is; we actually asked to be moved because of the noise. Other than that we enjoyed our vacation at this resort.

This is the 3rd time we visited the hotel, this time I had the bad experience, that 12 days ago we returned from vacation and returning on the way came with a lot of itch and had several hives in the hands and arms so I thought it was the sun, arrive unpack everything in my room right on my bed, today twelve days later I found 8 bedbugs on my mattress, so I had to throw it away. The hotel is very clean, but I know that there is also a lot of turnover, so if you would ask to fumigate and be more careful.

Excellent food and very good attention, there are also various activities during the day, like yoga, Zumba, activities in the pool and for children. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

If you wan't to have a Nice vacation, this is the best hotel. The rooms are awesome, the service is perfect And the location is Nice because you can see the beach all datos and sleep too.

It was excellent. A 5-star service. All the very rich meals, drinks with the best bottles and snacks very tasty and different to other hotels. A very nice and quiet family atmosphere. I would go back to this hotel always. 100% recommended. To other many activities during the day for all kinds of ages and public. Excellent.

Small and quaint… If your here to sit by the pool and just relax, its great. If your looking for activities or a stocked mini bar, not so great…

Super Father Place, August, rested very well with my family, the only problem was one day Jan L Breakfast, the Maori food were somewhat cold.

The best! My family has been there five times and we will be back. The weather is always awesome and the service is out of this world.

Very good stay. Very good night events. The regular food, however you enjoy it a lot.

I imagined something else, but still it was a very comfortable and nice stay. The services not included are a bit expensive but you don't usually need them. There is no free Wi-Fi in common areas.

We love this hotel, this is the 9th time we go there. We had asked to be on the 4th floor and more. We had made the request the weeks before. Nothing to do, they are very independent. Food in 2018: Succulent! It's clean and well located. The plumbing of the hotel is to be done again.

Love this hotel! The staff was really good and the food was amazimg. The beach was really fun and warm to get into. Highly recommend it.

Facilities acceptable but service in restaurants is very bad even in Barceló Premium. Clearly here do not understand what is customer experience, it is a shame as it subtract points to everything. The SPA is highly recommended.

On this occasion we did not stay at the hotel, went to ask for reports, the very attentive and friendly reception people allowed us to enter the hotel to see the facilities. Very clean and well kept, the pools spacious and with activities. In the past we have been in the hotel with the Barceló Premium package, and it is really worth paying the extra. You have access to better drinks, food and to the exclusive floor, the room is with sea view strategically located for an amazing view.

I had three different restaurant workers, all working in the same restaurant, tell me that the restaurant was closing at three different times. That was apart from the concierge desk telling me what time it closed. This was the sort of incident that seemed common when I was there. Overall I felt like the hotel had a few people in higher up positions that were lacking experience causing confusion. I can say the manager at the front desk was amazing, she was my go-to person when everyone else was giving me the runaround. Also I'd like to add that the representative from Apple Vacations was top-notch as well.

Lousy service, there's always a row to register. Overall the staff are not friendly or helpful. The food of very poor quality. The worst all inclusive hotel I've stayed in. The juices are reduced, the waters of Horchata and Jamaica are of artificial taste of very poor quality. It tastes better tang the meat is very hard and insipid. They don't pay attention to the buffet, there are always rows… They rush you an hour before you pick up the food. Zero recommendation.

Good place, very comfortable, very good food!
The problem is that in some parts of the hotel it is impossible to have the attention of the waiters, I think they need more staff to cater to people on high occupancy dates!
There was a problem with my payment when I arrived at the hotel so they made me pay double my stay and then lost many hours managing to get my money back.
I hope that if I come back one day, your payment system and your number of staff are better.

Excellent choice for all pockets. A suitable place at your cost. It has several options to eat and a good place to exercise. Excellent view to the sea. The attention is very good.

Clean rooms. Staff are excellent. Beach is beautiful. Small resort, really only a hotel. Food is average. Short walk to lots shopping.

Clean, mostly friendly staff. Food is above average (but not the best) compared other resorts we've been to in this price range. IXTAPA and Zihwa, in tourist section, are friendly and safe. Beaches are great as are the sunsets. All in all, I would recommend Ixtapa and this resort to others.

I love the hotel. For your service and attention, this is the third time I've come. For those who comment on the food, I think they never toured the hotel well and didn't realize that there are 3 restaurants inside it and they therefore serve different types of food. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You basically have everything in the hotel.

Really nice beach, great food however service was just ok. I'd recommend for people who want to relax at the beach and have a good time.

The rooms are quite luxurius, the beds are very comfortable, the location is excellent, close to the beach, shops an even a hospital.

The ugliest of the Barceló chain, overrated by the excess demand of MORELIA. Good service, good food and Drink. The sea is not suitable for all. The people at the front desk are not busy and you have to wait a lot when it is high season which indicates poor management Planning. Maybe for now it is the best option in the area of Ixtapa because hotels that were very good have been very careless and Barceló is now comparatively better.

It's a nice cozy hotel has all the services from its various restaurants, gym, spa, shop, bathrooms, pool, bar, private beach, Entertainment center, etc. And it is located in a good site Serca of the center since taxi is very easy to arrive and for a reasonable price, in front of the hotel there is a market of handicrafts and products for the holidays swimwear, t-shirts, visors, lifeguards, etc. The best service and the best vacations.

Not Flashy at all. If you are searching a luxury and top Quality all inclusive, Barceló (maybe Ixtapa as a whole) Is not for you. But actually they place Is really good, good and kind service, good standard food, and a pretty decente pool, beach Is Nice also.

Stayed at Barceló hotels before and loved them each time. I stayed here this summer and had my wedding there. I was very disappointed by the service of the place. Paid so much for the wedding and my guest didn't get ocean view rooms. Will more than likely not be back to stay with any of them again.

Beach is nice. Alcohol at bar is inconsistent pour, sometimes heavy, sometimes light. Bartenders and waiters are friendly. The "services lady" who manages restaurant reservations is rude and everything seems an imposition. We had 3 rooms 10 people, sister tried to make a reservation for 10 the next day and was told she could only do up to 6 people for her room and someone from another room had to go. I went by and was told would have to wait until next day as they only do reservations between 9 & 5pm. Next morning I go and ask for 4 more people @6:30 and was told they had an opening only on Saturday for 6:30pm, earliest for that evening was 9:30pm.

We booked their so-called "premium" package and I quote, "I don't feel so premium" said the lovely Ana Monroy. Food is ok, nothing great. Drinks are made with cheap low shelf booze. Personal attention is sub-par. The only thing, and I stress, the ONLY thing that made this trip worth while was Ixtapa itself, NOT the Barcelo. We felt like cattle being put through a ringer, and this is due to their very impersonal buffet style dinning.

We are staying at a condo in Ixtapa and decided to walk down to the Barcelo Ixtapa to check out the cost of a day pass a day. At this time of year ir costs $79. Us. You can use all the facilities and food and drinks are included. The hotel itself is lovely and very well maintained. Pools are warm as is the ocean water. The beach is gorgeous — soft sand, wide beach' and the ocean floor is sandy with no rocks! With the day pass you can stay from 9 am until midnight so you can catch the show in the evening. Really nice resort in a lovely town.

Hello, I have stayed in this hotel long and I love it, very good staff, except for a poorly educated receptionist service, did not hesitate to go back again, the only thing they would ask is an elevator in the villages, since we always stayed there because we are a very large family, and they are many stairs to climb and us thickens at night because we have small children and when flying a quarter already are asleep and to climb the stairs with them us is very heavy, besides the poor boots sudan drop fat when they help us with luggage.

Excellent attention. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are good and the toddlers can have fun. I liked that the swimming pools are of different heights and allows that everyone can have fun. The food is very rich.

Hello barcelo is very good very clean hotel and very friendly staff only that my husband and I did not like us who gave us two single beds when I told them that we were a couple and when we went to ask the MANAGER we said do nothing for us that HACI was not the contract and us answer of bad way as hurts by that IXTAPA is very nice but for the other best BUSCO other HOTEL where I ATTEND BETTER BUT THE GIRL THAT WAITERS CLEANING CLEAN THE ROOM ALL PERFECT THANK YOU…

Very good hotel pools the food and all the rest is very nice and clean so I recommend.

We stayed here, Barcelo Ixtapa Beach, the last week in February and had a great time. The resort is older, but decorated nicely and very, very clean. We had a ocean side view and was fabulous! I loved hearing the ocean waves crashing. We had two other couples that were with us. One couple had an issue with their air conditioning. The resort did a great job moving them into another room. We found out that some of the rooms have older air conditioning units. Just ask for a room that has a newer unit. We ate at two of the three restaurants and the food was fabulous. We didn't eat at the Sushi bar/restaurant. The Snack Bar restaurant out by the pool had really good food. We ate out there several times and loved that we could get a burger and fries half way through the afternoon. The buffet food was good. The taste of the food was good. I would have liked a better selection of food. After a couple days it felt like the same type of food. I have had better selections at different resorts, however, those resorts were higher quality and would expect that. The pool areas were beautiful, clean and warm water. We enjoyed water aerobics each morning. THE Pool bar was fabulous. A huge shout out to Leyvis Zerquera for entertaining us with his magic and Michael Jackson imitation. And, Laura for the kick butt water aerobics! Her energy was catching and never had so much fun doing water aerobics. ALL resort staff were professional and very nice.

Excellent hotel e visited several and Barceló do not change it for that return on vacation all super and the beach super quiet ideal for rest all you serve promptly, with kindness, respect and professionalism I hope k never change and if they still only offer I would like that the vacationers back provide us a better price.

Our stay was great and the beach is amazing. But it is close to the jungle and we found a scorpion in our room.

They could improve in food service leave much to be desired according to what they offer for your page or best day.

The room on the floor 12 has the fence of the terrace is very high and has a little view down. The odors and heat from the restaurant Veranda is enclosed within the hotel. You are missing extractors and fans. The best restaurant is La Palapa. The attention of the staff is good.
