Just returned from a fabulous week here! Everything was wonderful! Great Super Bowl party! The wonderful staff and the beautiful location cannot be beat!

Perfect spot. Very close to the reef.

Not my favorite Secrets and I have been to several AMR properties. No hot water and what is horribly sad is no one was willing to do anything about it. I was told once it was a pipe and it was being fixed and then they sent someone to fix it at 8pm at night. I ended up eating in my room. I was also told that I was being upgraded to Dreams and then when the hot water did not work again I was told there was no record of that. My career is in hospitality and it blows my mind that there is no record of conversations or matinence. Finally packed up hopped the ferry and stayed at a Hilton property.

Absolute worst food I’ve had at any resorts, anywhere — views are amazing but that’s about all I can say positive about this place — one more day here.

We loved the resort and the island and had fabulous time. An amazingly friendly and accommodating place. Always felt safe wherever we were…there is so much to do so, just do it!

We just returned from Secrets 12/10/22. This was a horrible experience. There were cockroaches and the food was horrible. The food was always cold and dinner service took no less than 2 hours every night. We left the resort to eat as food was horrible. I had scheduled a photographer from the resort that no showed 2 times. The shower didn’t drain, coffee pot broken, black spot maybe mold on the wall. I ordered breakfast room service ordered 2 omelets got one was told they would bring the other one up. Never happened. Called 5 times in 2 days to have mini bar restocked never happened till I told Yussell concierge and he took care of it. The drinks they made were with super cheap mix. Not even close to a 5 star resort as they claim!

Christopher, Jony, and Aaron (entertainment team) were absolutely amazing! They worked tirelessly to ensure guests all had a wonderful time and were entertained. They made each guest feel like they were the only one there and really made a big impact on us wanting to come back. Angel (bartender) and Miguel (made sure we always had food/drink in our hand) were also amazing. So friendly and helpful!

The entertainment staff—Johny, Chris and Aaron were very positive, fun and engaging during our 6 day stay. Some of the activities we participated in were sand and water volleyball, Bingo and water zumba.

We just left the resort and had an absolutely perfect 5 days! We were handed drinks within seconds of arriving and were quickly moved through check in. We had a swim out room in the lazy river pool, the room was nice and clean. The bed was so incredibly comfortable! Our mini fridge stayed well stocked. We enjoyed both main pools, we were preferred but didn't use that pool. The water slides were so fun and we liked using them and watching others! Manatees is a great swim up bar. The front pool is right on the beach. We did water aerobics with Chris two mornings and he is a blast. The entertainment staff were so much fun overall! We were waited on at that pool by Jairo, he was attentive and quick with service. Snorkeling right off the beach was wonderful, we saw a lot of different fish. The beach is clean and a little rocky but not bad. The breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from and service was good. We also had room service breakfast one morning, Marco brought it to us and set it up. It was delicious. We also did Oceana for breakfast and it was so good! We tried Windows and Bordeaux for meals. Windows was our favorite but they were both good. Eugenia and Angel really made us feel special! Also, the chicken wings and nachos were a big hit with our group. We met so many wonderful people, who really cared about the resort, the patrons, and making people happy: Chris, Jony, Aaron, Angel, Alfredo, Rosana, Eugenia, Jairo, Pablo, and Israel. Thank you for everything!

Not only was the stay a mediocre experience, but my wife's very expensive wedding and engagement rings were stolen, and I couldn't get a single person to talk to me about it. My wife's hands were swelling so we put her rings in my glasses case inside the safe in the room. After checking out and leaving the resort we realized we had left them in the room and called the front desk. They sent someone to check the room and I was informed that they found the glasses case still inside the safe. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I needed to send an email to the concierge and that I couldn't speak to anyone. I emailed the concierge, explained that my wife's very expensive rings were in the glasses case and asked her to call me and didn't receive any response. I then emailed the contact I had from booking my reservation and she emailed me and CC'd the front desk manager and concierge. I responded, and again asked for someone to please call me, and two hours later I received a response thanking me for my stay and telling me the glasses case was found inside the safe and empty. No phone call, no questioning the people involved with retrieving the case or who cleaned the room, just thanks for your stay.

Amazing trip, food was good, everyone was so friendly and nice! Entertainment crew the lizard man “Chris” and Aaron was a blast they are a must see! Alfredo, at the preferred pool had the best drinks, and Isabel at the non preferred pool was the sweetest waitress you could ask for! Also the bartender in the preferred bar, Gaudencio was awesome, he was very funny and had some good drinks as well! Snorkeling was amazing right off the beach, besides the sea turtles I didn’t need a snorkel excursion! Watch out if you buy pictures from a snorkeling excursion they won’t send them to you, we had to go to the front desk and complain, they called them and we got the pictures then, we waited over 24 hours for them and emailed the excursion people, so once we talked to the front desk and they called them we finally got them! All in all an awesome trip,

My wife and I celebrated my birthday. The service was excellent and the water is beautiful. Just wanted to give a special thanks to Israel. He went above and beyond and arranged an excellent filet mignonette dinner at Bordeaux and finished up with an awesome dessert Bananas Foster. His service and willingness to make sure we were taken care of is very much appreciated. We’ll definitely be back.

Man I don’t even know where to begin. From Antonio at unlimited to Johnny and Eric doing entertainment to the whole crew really. The staff is what makes this resort. We stayed next to a couple that frequent the place and they were also game changers for us being our first but definitely won’t be our last. This staff is perfecto and excellence all in one. Hopefully the staff will see this. Also wanna shout out Lionel was our server for our romantic private pier dinner and he was a true blessing.

The workers are so polite. I will say the rooms or my room was very unsafe. There is not enough rugs or mats for tile floors. If someone slips they will get injured. Also my hubby rented a scooter for the day instead of returning our scooter as they did others they sent him down to park it in an unknown area and was injured. The medics told my husband his arm was sprained and it was broke they did nothing for him.

By far the worst secrets I’ve ever stayed at. We spent a week for our honeymoon here. While the staff were mostly very kind and considerate the state of the rooms and resort was sub par. We had black mold in our bathroom, along with multiple defects in tiling and walls. The resort needs a serious makeover as it gives a condo type feel with maintenance needed everywhere. On top of it all I became very sick for two days when I spoke to the front desk I was passed off like it was nothing. Then to find out multiple people were becoming very sick, a majority of us believed it to be because the food was reused day after day, the cold products were left to sit in the heat all day and were not quality controlled at all. We did upgrade to the preferred option which was a waste as they let just anyone use the preferred bar and beach area. We will not be returning nor will we recommend anyone go to this resort.

We love Secrets and can’t wait to go back. Our swim up room with pool view was perfect. The staff was so friendly and took care of every detail. We were there for the 4th of July and they put on a spectacular show with dinner and entertainment on the beach. The only negative — we had to leave too soon!

This was our first out of the country all inclusive. We are so happy with choosing to stay at Secrets! The staff is so friendly and always asking if we need anything. Room service is always available and the food was really good and service was awesome. The restaurants were for the most part really good. The resort is just amazing. They kept it really clean. We will be back next year and we can’t wait!

The staff and services at this location were great. My wife and I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed every time.

We have had a great experience during our stay here. We had a couple of very minor issues that were remedied quickly. All of the staff have been very attentive and the entertainment is wonderful courtesy of Heydy and the wonderful entertainment team! We will be back!

Kyle Dupee and I loved our honeymoon experience at Secrets Aura Cozumel. The beach was beautiful, our room was nice, and the staff was AMAZING! It's not a huge resort, but just the right size for us. We definitely recommend paying a little extra and staying in the Preferred Club area. The Entertainment team was upbeat and very appreciated! Heydy Soberanis and Arturo know how to keep you active and moving! They work long days and keep the energy flowing — give them a huge shout out for me when you go! 😁 Additionally, the Spa was amazing — best massage I have ever had! Special thanks to Amelia, Guadalupe, Joy, and Manuel for helping me destress!

We have enjoyed everything this resort has to offer! The best part about it… the people… hands down, THE BEST customer service I’ve ever experienced ♥️

Overall just amazing the customer service was excellent.

The staff are great, everyone is always smiling and greeting you. I especially appreciated the Spanish lesson I got from Heydy! The whole entertainment team was great, including Jorge and William as well.

The hotel is lovely, and the staff worked very hard to serve us well. The hotel was clean, and food was great, especially the sushi. Close to the dive shops and the diving was spectacular. I highly recommend. We will be back.

Overall a great place to vacation! the food and service have been great and the grounds are beautiful. The room aren't as nice as some other Secrets but we are LOVING the swim up part of our room! here for another 6 days and can't wait to continue to explore Cozumel!

The resort was really relaxing, the food was delicious, and everyone, from the staff to the other guests, was great ☺️
The only drawback was that the room could have used a few updates, and there were a few things they had to fix while we were there. But they were able to fix any issues that popped up within a day, and honestly we were just in the room to sleep anyway. So while the room might not have been perfect, our stay definitely was. 😁

Just got home from a week long stay to celebrate our 30th anniversary! All we can say is WOW! Every detail was covered. The staff was amazing and thoughtful. We ordered room service at least once a day. It was always delivered quick and hot. The housekeeping staff was always accommodating to our unpredictable schedule, or lack there of! They always remembered things we had told them about or plans for the day and when we saw them next, they asked how things went. The entertainment team Heydy, Brian, Darwin and the rest did a great job of keeping us entertained! The nightly shows were nothing less than spectacular! I highly recommend room 1445 “The Rafi Nadal suite”. Our only complaints were that we wish the plunge pool in our room was heated, and the coffee pot in our room didn’t work, But room service took care of the coffee and the beautiful sunset views made up for the rest! 5 Stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Right now. They had to get creative with dining and entertainment but did a great job of it! The beach is amazing and the preferred club suites and amenitieswe really great. Even the toiletries were large.
No checks. No resort fee or taxes to deal with at the end. When they say all inclusive they mean it.
A beautiful resort. They followed covid guidelines really good also.
Can't wait for our next trip. We will certainly check to see if they have a secrets there!

Amazing Hotel, friendly staff and great food.

Lousy! the worst hotel I've ever visited in Quintana Roo. Nothing to do with the 5 stars they boast they have (it doesn't even reach 3), plus the price was excessive. My experience: we paid for a sea view room. My first impression an old hotel, sloppy, lacks a lot of maintenance on its premises and overall sloppy. My room all the time smelling ugly, did not serve the phone or the air conditioning, little lighting and we dropped the ceiling in the toilet, that not counting that the whole room was in terrible condition, old room and very deteriorated, without taking care of the slightest maintenance. In reporting such circumstances, we changed another room equal to or worse… same conditions, old and deteriorated, maintenanceless or smelling ugly all the time, only had a spotlight in the room and the two lamps that were in the bureau only one worked. The worst thing was when we used the shower, it completely covered up within two seconds that we opened the key and also full of blond hair (obviously not mine). Regular general food, bad drinks, deteriorated lounge chairs, dirty beach, sand with garbage and sargasso that does not pick up the hotel on the sand of the beach. I'll never come back! and I'll make sure my friends and family never visit.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff here more than make up for anything bad I could say about this resort. Every day I was met with a “Hola! Beunos dias! ” From everyone I passed. They answered all of my questions. The entertainment team in particular are fantastic. Leonardo rocks! Don’t listen to the goobers complaining about the food. Every meal was great. Make sure you try the Swiss enchiladas, the Parmesan chicken, and the tiramisu — and if you get the breakfast burrito, ask for a side of Salsa Picante. You’re welcome. Carlos makes the perfect painkiller, and his piña coladas are great too. The preferred club pool with a swim up bar was my favorite place to get a drink. Great vibe. Room service was quick and high quality. The views from your room will be incredible no matter where you are. The beach is beautiful, but don’t forget to buy water shoes for the rockier parts. Make sure you order a glacé from the coffee shop. Don’t stay in the resort all week though. I recommend taking a tour of the Island with Taz Miranda. My only complaints are that the Wi-Fi went down a few times, that there was some water damage around my shower, and that the hydrotherapy (which you also need to check out), only includes one session. Not a big deal though. Like I said, the awesome staff alone more than makes up for it. I’ll be back for sure.

This was our first time out of the country and we loved it! The food was delicious, the staff was amazing and the swim up junior suite room was perfect. Gilberto serves the pool 6 days a week and he is the BEST.
We did have long waits for our food at dinner, but with COVID I’m sure they are short staffed. We didn’t mind. It’s not like we had anything better to do than sit around enjoying Mexico!
We saw two different iguanas who live on the resort and named them Spike and Gertrude.

We love Secrets. The music, food and the beach is fabulous. The French restaurant was my favorite one.

Reservation was cancelled due to COVID (understandable), but we still haven't received a refund of our all inclusive fee of $1529.50! Its been weeks. I will not be booking with secrets ever again.

Just an awesome place. Food was fantastic and our entertainment during the day and evening was great. Leo, Jonathan, and Mozze are awesome. They are a ball of fun and did a great job getting us involved in activities. Awesome staff.

The resort needs updated. A few small issues in our room like missing cover on outlet, light chain on ceiling fan missing and a bunch of tiny bugs on the bedroom nightstand. Environment was very relaxed. The service was top notch. Extremely friendly staff. When they say all inclusive, they mean it. Never had so much food and booze in my life, and all part of the package! Romantic get away. I'd come again in a heart beat.

More than half of the restaurants are not air conditioned. Most of the restaurants are very slow & disorganized for dinner service. Always had to wait an hour in the outdoor heat of the summer to be seated for dinner. Then unfortunately the food was very bland and disappointing.

Secrets was the most wonderful honeymoon getaway! Everyday was so special and different. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Arbey, who is apart of the entertainment team, truly made our week so fun and happy. All aspects of the resort were perfect!

It’s a smaller resort than most but has everything you need, our room was huge and had great views of the pool and ocean, staff where great, definitely recommend this hotel if your looking to relax.

Everything, not even running water to use the restroom last day here. Employees were rude when asked and "we're having trouble with our water" you will have to wait 20 min to pee. Had to walk super far instead — because this bladder is not designed to simply wait 20 min. Excursions (jeep) was expensive and terrible.
It was our honeymoon — Paid extra for ocean view swim up — couldn't see ocean past trees.
Food was yucky, sometimes raw and made us sick.
All that and the pushy sales trying to get everyone to join their club… haha nope! Won't be back.

Great beach, drinks, entertainment and our room was nice. They moved us into another room when we first got there, it wasnt very clean and the ac had a moldy smell. We called to have it cleaned with no luck and then ended up talking to the concierge which helped us out right away. Our second room was much better, updated, and much cleaner. I feel the food could be better for dinner, small portions and not very good. Breakfast and lunch were decent. To keep things fun, we left resort and explored the other beaches and the island in a nice jeep. Well worth the trip, we will be back, it was fun!

Love the atmosphere, room service and friendliness of the staff.

Spent 7 days at the resort and completely enjoyed the level of service and quality of the food was excellent. The entire staff was eager to make our vacation pleasant and enjoyable. My favorites were Kenny at the Market cafe restaurant and Lourdes at Coco cafe.

This will be our 2nd time going. So beautiful and wonderful staff!

Second trip to Secrets Aura and once again, it was perfect You can see beautiful fish right off the beach. The resort was kept very clean All of the staff were very friendly and worked really hard to maintain the property. The food was great and the view was just beautiful from hotel.

My husband and I just returned from our vacation from Secrets Aura. We enjoyed our vacation here the staff was superb and we loved all the xtra activities they provided… we enjoyed the wine tasting. Fresh cooked fish on the beach when they served fish tacos. Coconut & pineapple drinks on the beach … casino night. Cooking demonstration on how to make fresh guacamole and chips… we’re some of our favorites. The entertainment at night was also awesome. Fire show on the beach the choreographed dance shows were great! … we were in room 1033 great location it had a ocean view and a large balcony. But the room was a little dated and musty smelling. The hallways leading to our room were dingy and needed repairs. But all other common areas were well maintained and beautiful… we were disappointed to find out they took the Hot Tubs out of the sky bar in the rooftop. They need to update there videos/pictures on there website. But the sky bar is a beautiful spot to enjoy a drink and watch the unbelievable sunsets I quickly forgot about not having hot tubs. The water has alot of coral/rocks so make sure you bring water shoes. All in all we had a wonderful time at Secrets Aura and would vacation at their other properties again!. Thanks for the memories.

Love this place! 8th visit with great rooms food and people. They do everything they can to make sure you have a great trip … except let you use the dock to book your own excursions. Management thinks it is ok to charge $2 a person to use the dock if you do not use their vendors, and make it almost imposable for the vendors to buy passes. To make it even better after I personally bought the passes, they never looked for or asked about them, just took my money. When I asked why they said "every resort does this" (they do not) what this tells me is Secrets is just trying to be like every other resort, so much for unlimited luxury, they are just the same as every other resort just a bit more expensive.

Lovely all inclusive. I had my anniversary stay there and we loved it! Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent with a good variety. Beds week very comfortable. Only wish I could have stayed longer.

5 stars? No way! We had to look at 4 rooms before we could find one that didn't have the stench of mold. The manager's excuse: "it is the tropics. " Lame. The issue is old and antiquated infrastructure. Evidence: noisy ineffective air conditioners; 1960s toilets that would not effectively flush without removing the tank lids to add extra water. Pseudo gourmet food. Limited variety w/ gristly meats presented to LOOK good. Cheap wines and spirits. Lastly, inept room service. Again, antiquated, lacking e-menu (available in better places) ; all the more inelegant by virtue of the fact that majority of the staff spoke no English. One morning we ordered breakfast three times and in the end it never arrived. Smoking not allowed in rooms. So why allow corpulent tattooed patrons to foul the air in the pool areas? 5 star Hoosier hotel. 2 1/2 stars for the rest of the world. Never again.

Overall had an awesome time celebrating my 1 year anniversary. Typical all inclusive menu but not very good dinner options and room service food was very undesirable. Alcohol was watered down. Staff was GREAT. Need to do something about the birds during breakfast and lunch literally will take food off your plate if you don't pay attention. Still have 4 stars. We would stay again and highly recommend because there were no kids and excellent service.

We loved it here and will return. Everything is great and the water is clear, rocky, but very clear with a great pier to watch the fish. I would definitely recommend staying on the “Non-preferred” side with a swim-up ocean view room. This will place you in a great location. Winnie the Poo (Hugo) kept the party going but it was also a relaxing place if that is what you are looking for. The food, service, room placement, and convenience of everything was 5 Star all the way. We also scuba dived for the first time after a short course at the hotel. We had an amazing trip.

Paid for a Junior Suite with ocean view, but when we got in the room it was directly beneath the bar and LOUD. We asked to be relocated (after all we came for a relaxing getaway) and they took us out of our suite into a regular room and still charged us for the suite. The food was average. Fortunately, you can go to the sister property next door. The food there was great. Snorkeling on site is really good. Service is average. One day you would get a great person, the next day you would wait 45 minutes for your drinks. But it was usually waiting. Overall, we will not return. Been to many Mexico resorts with much better service. And paid much less. Not a total loss, but disappointing.

Paid for Preferred Ocean View, was upgraded to Preferred Ocean Front (Rm # 921). Amazing room with an amazing view. It had a wrap around balcony and was about 25 yards from the waters edge. Very comfortable bed, ice cold A/C (even in July), hot water, very clean, and no odors. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job. We had great service at dinner, never had to wait for a drink, and were met with smiles and greetings everywhere we went. The food was good, not great but adequate. I would have liked to see more Fajitas. The breakfast buffet was the best, the woman making the omelets did a great job! Went diving 2 days with Dive House. Great diving in Cozumel, went out on Dive House II boat. Needs a handle at the ladder, otherwise a lot of fun, good crew. We didn't want to leave, will definitely be back.

Writing this review on my 2nd day of a 7day stay. The resort is amazing, there are things in the rooms that could be better maintained, but I'm sure it's difficult with the number of people that come through here and the fact that it's literally sitting on the beach. The coast is hard on buildings, so keep that in mind when you're here, ;it is still a very beautiful place to stay. The staff is all very friendly and respectful. They have obviously made a great attempt to be fluent in English.

Nice hotel love the swim out room to the pool. Staff are friendlyno issue there. Good drinks and the bars and pool are fun to hang out at. The food is okay taste like most all inclusive food. Over good hotel to stay.

Food is decent, nothing amazing but definitely not bad. Haven't checked out all the options yet, but seems to be consistently ok. Rooms are very adequate (pool view junior suite), bed is comfortable, room is good size. Only room complaint is the water pressure and temperature can change all on their own, not a huge deal for me, but worth a note. Staff is all very friendly and helpful if you have questions. Didn't sit for the timeshare presentation but we were asked about it when we checked in. All in all I would say I'll be back. Maybe even see what the timeshare / VIP ordeal is about.

We stayed at Secrets Aura Cozumel for our 20 year wedding anniversary. The resort exceeded our expectations. We showed proof of our anniversary and were given a nice breakfast in our room complete with mimosas. The resort was very clean the event staff had just enough activities going on. Everyone was so nice. There was more than enough food and beverages. Snorkeling was awesome in front of the hotel. Only down side the resort tries to sell timeshare/vacation package and were pestered about meeting a salesperson.

I recently stayed at this resort, I was very disappointed for what I spent. The first day for check-in we got to resort at 1 pm had to wait for an hour to check-in then was told room would be ready in 2 hours go enjoy the resort… when we go in to the room it was old and needed a lot of repairs. Pictures attached… Of course we asked to be moved but had wait till the next day. When we finally got a manager to agree to move us we were asked to leave our room at 11:30 am but had to wait till 3 pm for new room, when I asked why we could not stay in room until then we were told they needed to work on it but the truth is they cleaned it and gave it to another couple checking in. What a joke, even after I showed the water coming down from the light into the tub that could kill someone… Our next room was much better but still not even close to the pictures on the website or travel ads… not even close to the price tag we paid for a swim up. We talked to a group of people that came town together and 5 couples out of seven had to change rooms. So this resort plays games with peoples vacation so they can fill up all rooms instead of fixing the rooms. I read good reviews on Secrets resorts but I can say after this I will never stay at another and will recommend to everyone I know to stay away, because if this one operates like this they all will.

I do not recommend anything this hotel, it is sloppy, dirty, the staff is not helpful or friendly, the food of very poor quality and scarce, all the food is exhausted all the time. There is not enough staff to attend the hotel. The pool beds are broken and dirty. The room that I touched 524 was sloppy, no door in the shower and the bathroom door broken. I have traveled many hotels in the same secrets chain, this is the worst of all. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Overall, Secrets Aura Cozumel is a good resort. There are several restaurants located on the property to take advantage of. We were happy that there was a buffet option because we can be picky eaters. We want good food, but it doesn't mean we like "expensive" food like seafood or dishes like duck or mushrooms on items. There were three different pools. Oceana pool was closest to the beach and restaurants. This one had a "lazy river" that you could swim or walk around but there was no current to it. Manatee pool was farthest from the beach but did have a swim up bar. This also had swim up rooms in link with the pool area. There were watersides there but signs said that they are not recommended to be used and are just for "show". I saw people use them, but several people got stuck because there was no water running down them, haha. The Preferred pool was the most calm pool and also had a swim up bar. Only "preferred" people were suppose to use the preferred pool and lounge chairs, but it seemed like no one checked anyone so everyone was using it/them. The beach area was pretty substantial and there were a nice number of beach lounge chairs. Wait staff around the pools and on the beach were excellent. I never "wanted" for drinks or food. We were confused about tipping — usually at all inclusives you don't need to — but we saw about 1/2 the people doing so, we felt bad not as well and ended up tipping.

The resort is a very nice, but it lacks the appeal to be classified as a 5 star resort. The quality of the food is just adequate. The rooms need updating and maintenance. The grounds and pool area are very well maintained. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are welcoming and pleasant.

Place to rest in its entirety… Enjoy your excellent food and if you like water sports is very good choice…!

It is an excellent place to enjoy the tranquility, they are very helpful and attentive, I like that they do not discriminate the Nationalists.

Great facility. Room was wonderful. Good food and drink. Not much of a Sandy Beach but the snorkeling more than made up for it. Staff is wonderful. Great vacation.

I have to comment that the hotel is good, I did not give more stars for the following points.
1. — The hotel seems a bit old, not given proper maintenance.
2. — The TVs in the room are very old and have no great quality of channels and video (although one is not going to watch TV in this type of hotels).
3. — The quality of snacks served in the pool and beach part are very very bad. I have been to other hotels of the same chain and they have been much better.
4. The atmosphere there is very bad equal. There is no music in the hotel pools and it even gets to be a bit boring.
5. — The buffet breakfast in the hotel is too bad.
What saves the hotel: 1. — The staff is the best, they are very friendly and attentive to the guest. The truth that I felt very good and even exceeded my expectations. Excellent staff. Thanks a lot.
2. — The beach is beautiful. Of many hotels I have been able to visit this has been my favorite in a matter of beach. Sunsets and sunrises are the best to enjoy.
At the end of the day I think one goes to these hotels in places like Cozumel to enjoy the beach and the tranquility. I highly recommend it for the service of the staff and the beautiful of the beach but they have to keep in mind that the food is very bad, the ambience and the facilities of the hotel alike have to have poor quality.

This is our 2nd visit to Secrets Aura and we had a great time again. Food is very good and the rooms etc. Met all expectations. The one thing that was disappointing and I heard comments from many other guests is that the swim up bar was never staffed. I also look forward to the fresh orange juice. You could get it for breakfast but not after that. It seems they mixed it with a tang like drink for mixed drinks etc. That being said I would not hesitate to go back.

Our honeymoon vacation was perfect! Dives were crazy amazing and affordable! Food was so good. This is hands down the best vacation that I've ever had. The alcohol here was the "good stuff". Our rooms were amazing clean every day and we had a great view of the beach. I want to go back to that same place because of our awesome experience!

Well if I liked besides that is a place to rest and forget the stress.

We just returned from a visit to Secrets Aura – what a fantastic week we had. The food was varied and delicious, especially the breakfast buffet at the Market every morning. The lady at the omelet bar did an outstanding job keeping up with the demand of custom omelets for everyone. Anything you could possibly want for breakfast could be found there. We tried most of the other restaurants on the property at Secrets and Sunscape with equally satisfying results. The staff was all amazing (This included everyone we encountered from front desk, maid service, servers, bartenders, entertainment and maintenance. ) If you needed anything they were prompt at responding. Calling out specific individuals would be Javier in entertainment and bartenders at the Manatee bar. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. Our standard room was nice but not lavish. The bed and pillows were the only thing I would rate less than a 5. They were a little warn out. We stayed at the same resort 2 years ago and are already planning our next visit again in two years.

The rooms with direct pool entrance were a dream — pure luxury that we once indulged in.
24-hour room service, view, room design etc. The blobs of paint on the floor, tiles and glass and the bad grouting is unfortunately normal.
The main restaurant was tasty and a lot of choice. Great fish aperitif, fresh o-juice, already chilled sparkling wine in the morning-you have to do it sometime. Meat, salad, side dishes, sweets and much more… all top.

The Al La Card restaurant (ocean — great views but unfortunately very long waiting times and also not so friendly — a bit dry.
The Bordeaux — was in the middle of the hotel near the 2Benutzer pool, café-bar and shopping/shops with terrace.
The restaurant were good but not mega.
Reception could lay at friendliness yet.
The travel agent (imagination is not recommended) only want to sell trips but otherwise no interest shown.
Beach super Nice, but you should know that water shoes would not be bad when going inside the sea. Is a bit uncomfortable as there are a lot of plankton and stones. Fish for snorkeling unfortunately not many seen.
Disco beautiful bright, small but fine. Nice little bar, enclosed everything indoor.
The Sky Bar with mega views. Also small bar and nice staff, unfortunately a bit picked up. You can make great pictures.

Lovely spot, perfect for a romantic getaway. We spent a week as part of a wedding party. Nice swim-up room with private pool. Very secluded. Try all the restaurants, they vary a lot in menu and presentation/atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the spa water treatment and massage.

This time the hotel is on duty. ; (The room we were assigned to is very poorly located… Since it is winged from the entrance of employees and there is an appalling noise toooodo the day, it is also very close to the reception where obvious the same there is much noise from the guests. And from the source that is in the entrance or say is heard as a horrible open key… my comment is that this room is badly mislocated: (

Charming resort that needs some work. The staff are great and the location is fantastic. Most of the food is very good and the drinks are too. You can snorkel right from the resort and there is a large variety of fish. The is an intermittent sewage issue. If you are going, a room in the perferred area is a must as it has been updated. This is the lowest of the Secrets resorts.

Excellent service, different activities throughout the day. But many mosquitoes, take their repellents.

I've been to several Secrets resorts and this one was, unfortunately, my least favorite. I had several issues at the restaurants with very slow service and items ordered either being wrong or completely forgotten. The room also had incredibly thin walls to the point where you could understand people in other rooms having regular-volume conversations (and doing other things). The beach here is really nice with lots of good snorkelling available right off the coast but that didn't make up for all the other problems. I'll probably go to a Secrets again, and probably go to Cozumel as well, but I definitely won't be back to this resort.

Excellent experience! This resort is for adults who like great food, quiet environment, wonderful service, and gorgeous views. Snorkeling right off the beach is awesome! Lots of fish and other creatures. Definitely is a 4+ hotel experience.

This hotel is not a 5 star but a 3.5, should not carry the secret name, far too expensive for a very ordinary service, buffet-like a 3.5 in Cuba, small beach with rocky sea, obsolete room, small and cold swimming pool, restaurants the food is good, quiet place. For the price there is much better elsewhere. I do not recommend this place.

The luxury I did not see, all the furniture is deteriorated. He eats badly. I'm not coming back.

Loved the resort, food was very horrible… but for all inclusive what would you expect? lol Rooms were very clean and modern we loved our upgraded room and all that it offered for the view! I would go back, but eat off the resort more often! the outside food places were absolutely to DIE for!

The room we had was amazing. Very big, amazing view and very well kept. The food on the other hand… Terrible! The service at the restaurant was terrible and the food tasted like it came from a can. Some food even tasted "off". Beautifully kept and clean resort. They really just need to do something about the cuisine.

The food and drink from any restaurant and bar in the hotel is extremely amazing! flavor, colors, smells, textures, freshness, variety and even temperature in which everything is served is simply above expectations. There's always one wanting more.

Best all inclusive resort I've stayed in. Everything was beautiful, clean, relaxing and the food and drinks were top notch! No need to wear wristbands and no reservations needed at any of the upscale, high quality restaurants. Also not very crowded. I would recommend a bottom floor room, since a lot of those have balconies that go straight into the pool! Highly recommended!

Mosquito heaven. Room service is hit or miss. You may or may not get your food how your ordered it, or even get the same meal two days in a row. Rooms are standard for a getaway like this, nice but dated. Most of the staff is very accommodating, and polite. In summary this is an ok resort, but not a venue I will be coming back to.

AMAZING! We stayed in room 212. We heard from other guests, that their rooms, were less than acceptable… not our room! It was perfect! Staff is great, food was great (we ate at the market most days). PSA — when you get off the plane in Cozumel, if you need a ride to your hotel, IGNORE EVERYONE when heading outside, STOP AT LAST WINDOW ON THE LEFT… that's where you can purchase a REAL ticket for a ride to your hotel. But, Secrets is amazing! And adults only So nice!

My fiancee and I just got back from a trip this week, and I couldn't wait to write this review. We did quite a bit of research, and read all the reviews, a lot of which were not favorable. I'm not sure what hotel the people who gave negative reviews stayed at, but I know it couldn't have been Secrets Aura Cozumel. We had an absolute fantastic time from start to finish. The room and grounds were super clean, the staff, all of them, were so wonderful. My favorite is Alicia, our daily housekeeper. I loved seeing her smiling face every day, and she always took great care of us. Our mini-bar was always stocked to almost overflowing. The view from our room was even better than the view from the Sky Bar, simply because all we had to do was sit on our oversized balcony to see it. The spa was second to none. I've been to spas all over the world, and this one was the best by far. I can't wait to go back. One thing you will want to do is bring water shoes, as the beach entry is a tad rocky, but once you get a few feet in the water, it's fine. Also, you'll definitely want to take a walk on the pier. Lots of beautiful fish to see.

Pretty quiet hotel, drinks and food are pretty good (in the restaurants). The common areas are very nice and the restaurants of good quality. Attention to Credits
Hotel offers, they are not cumulative and only usable for certain services ($10 for a bottle of wine à la carte, $60 for a meal on the beach etc. ) We can't use it as cash. Take a room upstairs to have brightness. The extra for the preference club is not necessary (except to have a better room) as almost no reserved space and brand liquor available in all bars. The majority of bars close early (5pm) which creates tranquility within the hotel grounds. Good activities available in supplement (snorkeling 36 USD per person for 3 hours formudables). Attention to the site, the rooms "ocean view" vs. "Front view". Ocean view can be disappointing (view of the ocean only from the terrace — the photos of the site do not match the room).

Reasonable reception, room not ready for our arrival, the aircon does not turn off with the remote control, noisy (sea and rooms), buffet not very varied, rooms dilapidated, too expensive paid for what it really is worth! I do not recommend at all.

Food a la carte. Excellent presentation, the precise amount. Attention of first captain, chef and waiters. Not so. Service in rooms with lack of interest. Neglected in internal maintenance. The fabulous external.

Food was horrible, drinks were good, didn't like that the sky bar closes at 11, and swim up bar at 6, no hot water in room the entire trip, the club desires was pretty lame, beach was nice, the restaurants on the resort were horrible. Ronaldo at the swim bar was be best part of the trip.

We had a Preferred Swim up suite along the lazy river pool for 12 days. Room was very nice with great air conditioning. Pools also wonderful. Everyone at the resort was very friendly and helpful. Food was maybe average or a bit less… Not a fan. The bed was super soft, but gave me and my wife back pains due to little support. Also, a couple nights we had no hot water for showers. Overall had a great time. Liked being able to use snorkel & kayaks for free and the resort pier allowed us to be picked up by boats for excursions.

Everything was great except for the food! Service was top notch. Room was very clean, roomy, the air-conditioning was amazing, the bed was super comfy, pillows were just ok. The resort was very nice and clean. The food was disappointing, but the service made up for it for the most part. Food was either cold (when it should be hot) or hot (when it should be cold. Examples: fruit, juice, lunch meat). Not enough variety. Alcohol drinks were made just as you asked and amazing, with a ton of choices. It does cost $30 round trip to go in to town which was rough since we went to town several times just to get good food. Again… service was top notch and overrode the food short comings.

My review starts with Secrets, because I contacted them before even booking plane tickets. Part of my vacation was for diving, the other for relaxation. The Dive Shop (DIVE HOUSE) completely LIED to us, expecting us to just settle for what was offered once we were in the boat. We had ONE opportunity to dive on this trip, and we would have happily booked with another company, but Secrets Hotel assured us that their in-house dive shop would take care of our request. The dive shop ALSO assured us that they would be able to take us to the dive site we requested. It turns out that they never intended to even attempt to accomodate us, but instead completely misled us. Secrets so far has done NOTHING to rectify the situation, they only make excuses and say "we will talk to the manager". Apparently this "manager" is like the Wizard of Oz, because after days of waiting and asking, I keep getting different variations of the same thing: "Sorry your vacation was ruined, maybe if you pay us again we can give you different excuses next time. " The food was "okay", the service was about average, but for the price here I expected a little better service. I did not get good service, and Secrets obviously only cares about collecting your money and trying to upsell you on the opportunity to experience more crappy service at their other locations.

It was a beautiful experience. It is a fancy resort. Food is great, american and hispanic food. Beaches are clean. People like to go there to scuba diving and snorkeling because of the reef coral. Water is turquoise and warm. I recommend to go there. All inclusive. People are friendly and helpful. Everyone there speaks English. The island is small and really safe.

Our first room was not great and smelled like sewage, but they immediately took action to fix it and upgraded our room! All the staff are very friendly and speak English well enough that you don't have to worry about not understanding. Food is great at all of the restaurants and having access to the sister resort next door is nice for variety.

The staff at Secrets have been nothing but amazing. They will help you in ANY way possible. The rooms are very nice and they are doing beautiful renovation. The bar tenders were always smiling and happy to see you.

The nearby Secrets Capri on the mainland had nicer amenities and rooms. This is a nice resort but not the best.

We came back from this resort Saturday night, stayed there Dec/12/2015 — Dec/19/2015. Great adult only resort. One of the best things about this resort => You don't need to register or reserve/Book a table for A La Carte Restaurants. Whenever you want to go, you can. You have to try Bordeaux Restaurant (one of A La Carte Restaurants), really good food. We did snorkeling as well, super fun and amazing. We got the tickets for snorkeling from Fantacy guys (Manuel / Jesus) running by Albertos. One more thing, don't waste your time and money by going to City Tour, doesn't worth at all. Instead go for snorkeling or scuba diving.

My wife and I visited for our 15th anniversary, it was our first time to Mexico. Our original room had some issues and the front desk was very helpful in getting us another room which was really appreciated. The restaurants were good but we wish they had a larger selection to pick from in the evening, however Bordeaux was very good besides the wait to get in. They had events planned nearly every day and did a very good job getting everyone involved. Special thanks to Adrian, Wendy, Alejandra, and Fernando for making our trip more enjoyable. We will visit again.
