We bought on the Ridge in 2005 while it was being built. We love the view night or day! It was my Mother's Day Gift. The room is awesome. The staff up here is wonderful. We love our home away from home. We call it our life styles of the rich and famous vacation. Week 19 and 20 every year♥️

I have nothing bad to say about this resort! The entertainment is great and really fun… the food is excellent! But the poolside taco bar is by far our favorite!

We have been coming to the Ridge since 2004. Have loved our stay every year since as the staff make you feel comfortable in their country and at Solmar Playa Grande. The views (including whale watching) and atmosphere are incredible. Your options for excellent food and entertainment are numerous within Solmar Playa Grande. The proximity to the marina, shops and restaurants are innumerable and all within walking distance. Children are welcome but are limited to one pool at the Ridge. However, their are various pools and activities for children/teenagers at ground level. Highly recommend for potential owners.

Service is always good. The Ridge is nice and quiet with great views of Pacific and Sea of Cortez. Love coming back here.

It has more views than anywhere and everybody is friendly I have came here for 18 years. It’s awesome.

We really enjoy this resort, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice, may no longer be the fanciest in the area but it's an easy walk from the hotel into Cabo and the Marina where most of the other resorts you have to take a shuttle or taxi.

We love The Ridge at Playa Grande. It's the same resort, just a separate set of rooms that sit atop the hill instead of on the beach. And the area is private with key-card required elevator. You get the same Playa Grande rooms and services, just a different perspective for the view. It overlooks the Pacific to the west and the Marina to the southeast. There's a private pool, a restaurant and bar to serve the area, They're all great. The pool bar has two daily happy hours with 2-for-1 drinks, which is great when they're $12 each. We love it here and return every year.

It was a horrible experience to stay in this "resort". Their employees don't know the word hospitality, we got food poisoned the first day we ate in Calimas restaurant, the most important thing is my sister was drugged in a margarita, just a single margarita down the pool, it was a horrible nightmare, she couldn't stop throwing out, and when we informed the manager and requested to know the ingredients of that margarita they wouldn't help at all, refused to provide medical care, we had to call an external insurance we got and the doctor confirmed, the symptoms were for drugs, that was the last day we stayed there, they sent a security officer to spy on us on our room! It was really a nightmare, there are beautiful resorts in Cabo, don't ever choose this if you can. Fortunately my sister is well and alive and certainly not thanks to this hotel administration. They were just worried we would suit them.

The location is PERFECT, it's a quick walk to anything, and a shirt can ride to events. They have events every night that are so much fun, and their food and drinks are amazing!

The views from the upper swimming pool at the Ridge are incredible because you can see the ocean on one side and the harbor on the other. Their service is excellent. One word of caution is that they claim the one bedroom unit sleeps five but really it's just for three plus maybe a small child. There is a Murphy bed and what amounts to a pullout cot in the main living area.

Excellent service, quality and facilities.

Would not stay there again. Room views face the marina and the loise level from the street is too high. After spending 1 night we asked to be moved. The rooms are out dated and smell musky. The faucets were peeling and looked ancient. Tub was really beat up and looked dirty but it wasnt it was just too old. The room sleeps 5 comfortably and the bed is nice and large. The pool views are amazing and infinity pools are great. Customer service was outstanding. The rooms definitely need some major upgrading.

Nice views but they didn’t honor our guaranteed confirmed reservation. Had to settle for a different unit. Don’t stay at the Ridge unless you want listen to noise all night from the marina. Food is good but it takes a long time to get it once they take your order. All inclusive is optional. Menu prices are at prices to make you think you are getting your money’s worth if chose all inclusive. I don’t drink much at all so inclusive option wasn’t wise. Right at the marina with lots of dining options and that’s the best option. We had a bad experience. This was our second and last visit.

The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They make the atmosphere of this place great. The location is beautiful and the room is incredible. I strongly recommend The Ridge at Playa Grande to anyone looking to stay in Cabo San Lucas.

Beautiful grounds situated on the peninsula near the arch, one side faces the Pacific while the other faces the Sea of Cortez. Did not like a request for a beach towel required a visit to the time share desk and a sales pitch. Did not like the small fitness center wanted $11 on top of room rates, though a better gym is a 10 minute walk away for $6. The place is a maze to figure out. Pretty, but won't stay there again.

Very nice place to stay. Clean facilities, friendly staff and well-run. Because the marina to which it's next is a party spot everyday be forewarned that you will hear music and crowds in the distance each night and will easily go past midnight. Do not stay here if you're looking for peace and quiet at night (it is peaceful during the day though). Otherwise it's a great place and people staying here like to have fun.

The view is the only good thing about this hotel. The rest is barely acceptable/unacceptable.

We have been members for 17 years and we can't get enough of this place. Love our home away from home.

The only issue was when we checked in they wanted to put us down stairs and not on the Ridge, but they found us a room even though we had to move rooms our last day I know my family wouldn't have been happy if we weren't at the ridge… can't wait until next time…

Imagine a pool perched atop a building perched atop a mountain with a swim-up bar and restaurant overlooking a marina and the Sea of Cortez on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. Oh, and a water slide down to the lower pool…

It was clean. All the workers were friendly and the amenities were satisfactory. The room was able to sleep 5 Pistole very comfortably. The workers spoke English very well.

Talk to the right person, and they are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, at such a large resort, it's easy to get lost among the sea of guests for simple things like when the room is available. Facility is beautiful and very close and convenient to the beach. For good swimming, you'll need to walk down the beach a good way to avoid the dangerous currents.

The view of the marina and the town is spectacular. The view of the Pacific is excellent. Food and drink excellent. Maid service — they do a spectacular job. Three pools — 2 adult, 1 kids; the infinity pool is fantastic; two hot whirlpools. The kids love the water slide — well, I did, too. The only drawback we experienced was the constant noise of music that goes on and on 'til the early morning, say 3:00 AM. The Ridge is a tough place to beat; don't miss it…

Raciel, Esteban and Blanca are amazing (along with the rest of the staff)! Everyone was friendly, helpful and made our vacation that much more enjoyable! We spent every afternoon relaxing poolside taking in the gorgeous view of both the ocean and marina. Rooms and the resort were always clean and smelled AMAZING! Did you know you can purchase that room spray at the front desk and bring it home?!?! … but beware, you'll begin daydreaming and want to get back to the Ridge asap! Planning our next vacation there as I type.

What can I say. I like peace and quiet not Girls Gone Wild when I head past the border. This place delivered solitude (Playa Grande will be more family-friendly for those of you traveling en masse with little ones) and probably some of the most jaw-dropping vistas from their infinity pools I've ever seen. The service is top-notch, but, sadly, you must be wary of the time share sharks and bribery here. As one not to turn down a freebie (hey, sunset cruises were hard to come by at the last second during a weekend stay! ), my pal and I went ahead and signed up for an 8:30am breakfast meeting. Ie time share pushing. They are very clear about what this is and you will walk away mostly unscathed if you want a free tour or cheap massage. But, boy, there really is no escaping these jerks in this town. I would rate the experience lower because I really had sought out somewhere sans time share scheming and was alarmed to be greeted after 6 hours of travel (before we could even get to our stunning 1 bedroom suite) with negotiating how much time we would lose from our short weekend to survive a "90 min presentation". It was closer to 2 hours and we weren't offered a ride back from Solmar. But hey guess what! The beach is empty and the Pacific is full of whales in the Spring, so we licked our wounds and enjoyed the uncrowded coast. If you can say NO to pushy gringo sales people and would love a beautiful place to stay, The Ridge is amazing.
