This will be a lovely resort, but for now it is still under construction. All of the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The ocean views are expansive, beautiful. The location is a bit removed from town, but not a difficult trip. The builder's vision/plans will turn the final project into more of a community than a resort, making it an ideal destination for young people, couples, and families, in addition to a golfer's dream!
I’m a current owner in the Grand Solmar brand, specifically, Land’s End. Two years ago 2016, I upgraded my membership to a dual penthouse membership to include Rancho San Lucas. Upon checking in, I was placed in a building surrounded by construction, no pool view, and a very limited view of the ocean. And, I’m considered VIP. The lagoon is suppose to be open; however, it’s closed. There is only one restaurant. As a member since 2013, I’m extremely disappointed Grand Solmar would open a resort prematurely without any regard to their customers. There is absolutely no real activity at the resort for my family. We have to catch a shuttle, and ride approximately 25 minutes to Grand Solmar Land’s End to have any kind of activity. Additionally, please be very cautious before buying any type of membership to any of their resorts. The sales people are very deceptive, and you do not get what is promised. This is the worst vacation ever! My advice… do not book at Grand Solmar Rancho San Lucas until the project is complete. Exceptional customer service is not a priority for Grand Solmar.

The resort is beautiful but yet it only finished phase 1 of the construction. The weekend is better than the weekdays. In a sense that there won't be any construction workers around and worry they were checking on your activities. As mentioned by others, due to low occupancy, the staffs are very attentive. There is hardly anyone here (end of August) and I suspected my son is the only child on site. Lol. Another thing about this resort, the private road to the actual site is about 10 min long. At first, we thought we were on the endless road. It is also far from town. I hope they have more amenities later on so the guests feel comfortable and "enough" to stay here.
