This is the Place I enjoy every year. they all treat everyone as family and remember you everytime your here. great fishing, great food, great people that's why I come back every year. wouldn't want to go any where else.

Great Restaurant with fantastic food! friendly Staff and bar is fun to sit next to as it is sunken down around the pool. Susette is an awesome host and helps with so much. Highly recommended.

Best place for fishing and dining — the food is OUTSTANDING breakfast lunch and dinner all amazing can’t go wrong and the staff are sooooo accommodating.

My family has come to this resort for four generations. The fishing is excellent, the food is world class, and the staff is as friendly as can be.

We stayed somewhere else but we brought our fresh catch / caught fish here to cook for dinner. The chef and service is amazing. (We did stay in a room in 2017. It was okay, clean a little dated, great beach and pool. )

East Cape is small and sleepy. You’re not in big massive Disney like Cabo. Slower, relaxing, and private is what you’ll come here for. It is just outside the town of Los Barillas and very private. The family/owners are always around and are helpful, very friendly and accommodating. The staff is great. Very clean, great food and the best location of all the hotels. Scuba, snorkeling, transportation anywhere, and a fisherman’s paradise. They will prepare your meals with your days catch and vacuum seal/freeze the rest for you. Swim up bar with food, clean secluded beach 10 steps away. Eva, the masseuse, is one of the best. These are the reasons I keep going back. Love it.

A very simple hotel, what is rescueable is the nature and its deep pool. The indoor Jacuzzi is always warm for its natural hot springs. Even at sea they feel hot areas in the sand within the sea. There is rent of kayak boards and snorkeling.

I have such mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, the location is stunning, the beer is always cold. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is great. Having an annual membership has been a godsend to us with a kid needing a pool and living very close to the hotel has meant daily dips in the pool. However, it's so old and tired. Currently, as of Feb 2018, they are starting to renovate rooms and the kitchen I believe. My parents stayed for a nine day vacation in March 2018 and the first room they stayed in was terrible. Dark, smelly, no air con. Not clean. Broken lights and air conditioning. We spoke to reception and they were moved to a nicer room but had to pay an additional $50 per night on top of the already high room rate. On the flip side, the new rooms are beautiful. Clean, airy, light and decorated beautifully. Lets hope the renovations continue. There is lots of work to be done here. The pool and spa area are in dire need of an overhaul. The chipped tiles and loose or non existent hand rails are a hazard. They could do so much more with this resort.

Nice environment, motel style units needing upgrades; restaurant location is great as is the food though service is a busy style.

Great location but hotel is definitely showing it's age. Can of Coke is 45 pesos — which is pricey for the area.

Great place. Delicious hotel for weekend, if fishing is your thing there is no better hotel, they have their own fleet of fishing boats and excellent captains, definite you come back with a great experience. Your Dhali Chef will do wonders for your fish.

I've been visiting Mexico for over 20 years and have stayed at many different resorts and have fished both coasts but Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort is my favorite place to stay and fish! This is not the most expensive or the cheapest but the prices are excellent. The staff is very kind and will meet your every need. The food is amazing, I love the beach out back, diving, the waterfalls and most of all the outstanding fishing. I've caught many stripped and blue marlin here, dorado, YF tuna, lots of roosterfish, snapper, wahoo and the list goes on. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to catch big fish, eat great food and enjoy Baja at its best.

I found a hotel very old, with very little night lighting, the bathroom was tiny, we were not given enough towels and the rooms have no phone to talk to the front desk and ask for towels or other need, there was no room service and the waiter made me carry a tray filled with food, because there was only one to serve throughout the restaurant, the swimming pool was not clean enough and was very cold water.

Terrible food and even worse service! Would not go back. Big disappointment.

Great for families. The pool is warm and medium size. Good food, good bar. Sundays band is great. The beach furniture is raggedy and not comfortable but the view and beach are amazing.

Fishing was good, boats were clean and had great crews. Anthony working the Beach Bar was phenomenal. Luis who coordinates all adventure type activities was top notch as well. However service at the restaurant and pool bar was well below average. At this time the rooms are still old but they are upgrading them. The two completed rooms were really nice. Once they upgrade all of them and get better service at the restaurant and pool bar they could easily upgrade to 4 or 5 stars.

It's like staying at the Grand Budapest Hotel.

This place has gone so far down hill my family will never be returning to this "resort" again. Piss poor captain/deckhand PERSONALLY wiffed 10/12 hook ups for 3 days of fishing. Then when we asked if we could try and set the hook the captain said "no one touchs my rod but me! " Seriously felt like our boats crew was on vacation and they stuck 2 random ass staff members on our boat for crew. The captain told the deckhand to rig up all lures to troll, after a few hours unsuccessful we ask if we should make a change, and he goes "im not sure how to fish these, I normally troll live bait in tournaments" So youre going to use a technique you apparently have 0 experience with while youre with people paying over $500 (+ daily mandatory 25% tip eta not forget) for under 8 hours of fishing… I could literally go on for pages on how this place has become so run down, but its not even worth my time to type all the crap out about this shithole. If youre looking for an awesome resort to slay the fish at, keep looking. I promise there are better resorts right around the corner!

Excellent hotel to relax and spend a pleasant stay with the family and enjoy the hot springs!

It is a little run down, but the location is perfect, the service excellent, and it comes with hot springs! The hot water is used in the room showers and in a big pool at the center of the hotel.

Rooms are shabby and falling apart filled with ants mice droppings and other insects. Property is nice. Hazardous at night without sufficient lighting.

We own a house by this place, so we don't stay here, but the restaurant food and service such as the nachos are great. It's not too busy, and the pool is also good for kids.

Was a great place to stay, food was great as was the service. Was no food available after 10PM had to go off the resort or starve after staying up all night.
