Review of Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa 4*

In principle, I have to say in advance that the hotel will be completely renovated in the coming months and that large parts will be rebuilt. That is why I do not want to go into detail about the current condition of the rooms. We chose this hotel because it offers suites with two actual bedrooms and two bathrooms, imho important when travelling to children. Most other hotels usually have a bedroom and the other bed is a pull-out couch. That's OK for one to two nights but not for longer. The hotel complex is fantastically beautiful and because it is located in the very north, you have sun on the beach all day long. The food and drinks in the restaurants are very OK and in the evening there are still performances at the bar such as live music or dancing, which are really good in quality. The staff (both at the reception and in the restaurants) are very friendly and anxious. There is (clearly) fluent English and French-German rather less so. The operation is sometimes a bit chaotic, although the staff really do not save, the order process often works a bit sluggishly. Until waiters become aware of one and the ordered drinks are then delivered, it is often a test of patience. A real shortcoming is the availability of beach loungers. There are objectively too few. When all the loungers are occupied, there is no longer any supply where you could pick up some if necessary. Then it's just wait. Great are the additional offers such as snorkeling, kayaking, diving, pedal boating, glass boat, … We had a wonderful holiday and can really recommend the hotel.
