Stunning location and amazing service culture that creates a truly welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. For golfers Ile aux Cerfs is an added bonus with green fees included in your room rate if you stay five days or more. It’s an outstanding course threaded among incredible scenery. The local village has some great restaurants too for those who want to sample a bit more local culture and cuisine — and there’s plenty to sample! That’s the route we took having read a number of reviews questioning the food. I have to say I saw nothing to prove those reviews wrong. Breakfast (we opted only to have breakfast and eat off resort for the rest) was the same everyday and many items were only average, not excellent as you would expect from 5 star resort. I cannot say the food was amazing. That said we had an amazing time here. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at the resort, the team there was very friendly and approachable and so warm. The buffet was simply the best and we absolutely loved the International Buffet. Special thanks to the talented chef @Ahmed Elgamil who specially prepared a seafood platter for our family. 2nd photo is our special and delicious breakfast made personally by the hand of the Chef Ahmed Elgamil.

Perfect resort to spend holidays with family & definitely one of the best in Mauritius. The customer care & service is impeccable. Service at the bar is great, where I enjoyed the sparkling wine. Rooms have all required amenities. Buffet is excellent, with variety of menus and quality food. The main swimming pool is heated. Adults pool is quiet & relaxing. Access to Ilot Mangenie is a plus point. Will definitely visit again for a longer period.

What about it? Simply magnificent!

From the minute we got out of the car… to the minute we got back in to return home… our experience was absolutely awesome… the Frangiapani suites were perfect. The view we woke up to every morning… to die for… every single person that works there is unique in their own way… attention to detail is another plus. The food… oh my word… how I didn't pick up some kgs I do not know. The little things they do for one… And always with a smile… it's something I will never forget… and the bonus for patriotic me. Is the general manager… is South African… well done to you sir. And to your staff…

Excellent hotel. Went for Sunday brunch it was very nice and the food was awesome. My kids really enjoyed the kids club and the swimming pool. Service around the pool was great. Greatly recommended.

Absolute gem of a place on the beach. The rooms facing the Hibiscus beach is literally heaven as you can walk from your room to the beach in 10 seconds. The rooms are part excellence with first rate amenities provided. Lots of activities at the hotel. They have a private island ilot mangenie as well which is a very secluded place for relaxing. I would most definitely come here again and again.

No cons. All the cons, it is pleasant trifles with which pleasure always collide, but nothing develops into a catastrophe. Probably one of the best hotels. You can safely recommend to the most discerning travelers. The staff is perfect, always find for you not Intrusive service.

Very nice. Big and clean with amazing views of the ocean and nice restaurants. The room I had was with beach access and it was lovely specially the water hose in the toilet. free ice cream on day time by the pool. Great massage. The staff were very nice. A lot of free activities like kayaking, water pedals, board surfing, cycling, tennis courts, billiards, pingpong and a lot more. Also nice kids club and it's good that they provide babysitters. *** only one problem. The place is full of insects, bugs and mosquitoes.

Probably my review will be outdated. The hotel made a reincarnation and changed the name. Then I'll leave that. Which is not possible to change. And that was super. This location is… Beaches and nature… Why we are going to Mauritius… All very well… I liked everything… Big red territory… The location of the hotel is excellent. Would love to come and live again. Five. For what it was.

Great hotel unfortunately very very expensive hence a point deduction.

Sometimes when you have perfect experience in some place, you might think what was the best moment of this experience. Then you realize you just simply don´t know, because there were no weak points and most of all was amazing. The same happened to me and my wife during our hoenymoon in Shangri-La's Le Touessrok. I must say we were bit afraid as we came to Mauritius just few days after Berguitta cyclone/storm. But the consequences of the strong winds and floods were only minor. After arriving into Shangri-La we were given very spacious and clean deluxe room with beautiful ocean view. Even this is probably basic room, it is very comfortable with everything you need for great vacation. The hotel itself has two pools but most of the guests stays in one of hotel beaches. Until we discovered the calm of Ilot Mangenie we spent two days in very calm bay just in front of our room. There is beach service with cold drinks (margarita highly recommended) and bar food (salads, burgers) and you can also try basic water sports (paddleboard, kayak etc. ). This is nice, but if you want something really special take the hotel shuttle boat and go to private island called Mangenie. There is beautiful view on the nerby indian ocean and his waves running in to coral barriers. Try some fresh seafood and fish or, if you need something more european, order very good pizza. Only one warning — use bath shoes when going into water. It is full of sea urchins with really sharp pricks.

Le Touserock is a dream. We can really recommend it unreservedly. We had the Frangipani Suite with direct sea access. After 4 days we were on gged and old. The reception on the home's own private island goes to phy Manamanie was made perfect by MONSIEUR JAUHAN. So we visited the beautiful island every day. Tennis, archery, basketball and much more everything is doable. In the evening you can do kickers and billiards games. (The bliard table could be quietly renewed)
The spa is also a dream.
All restaurants are delicious and at a very high level, so you should book devinitv with half board for dinner! You can see that the manager attaches great importance to service and pays special rewards to his employees for it.

Absolutely phenomenal time at Shangri-La. The hospitality my gf and I received was out of this world, the attention to detail of the staff, everything was perfect. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay there! Pictures don't do the place justice!

Fantastic, bungalow just a few meters from the beach, fantastic breakfast, beautiful the adjacent deer island, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Dream tourist village in every way.

Everything was fine. Rooms, service, beaches, food-everything is amazing. But it is worth paying attention that for such money there are a number of discouraging nuances. Beaches on islands close in 17:00-i. E. In 16:40 you should already sit in a boat, i. E. In 16:20 you already will start to jerk that you were going, and this is the most comfortable time. The staff for some reason do not know that on the beaches give beach towels and we first had to carry a pile of towels.
