I want to start by saying that do not let these negative reviews scare you away! Understand what to expect from a small hotel restaurant in a secluded fishing village.
I've traveled about 80 percent of the Caribbean and this place made me fall in l9ve with the Caribbean once again.
The Hotel and its staff are absolutely lovely. They made us a vegan meal which was light but quite nice. We made a reservationand the food came in 20 minutes. We speak very little French and they treated us kindly and spoke to us in fairly good English. My favorite part of dinner was when I ordered rum and she brought me the bottle with a separate bottle of cane juice snd a cup with limes.
The room was quaint but comfortable.
The town and it's people were genuine good hearted and the green cliffs, beaches and rivers are second to none.
A place I will remember fondly and not soon forget.

The lunch started off great, thanks to Karine, the owner, who was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, once she left, the staff became quite unpleasant as if they did not want to be there, making the overall experience disappointing.
That said, the food was absolutely delicious—clearly a highlight. If the staff were as attentive and passionate as Karine, this place would easily deserve 5 stars.

An authentic excellent hotel in the less touristed side of Martinique. Employees were all wonderful, helpful and friendly. Several spoke English which was very helpful. The food was very good and we would definitely stay there again. The room was nice and clean with a clean toilet and shower.

We stayed here overnight on a brief trip to Grand Riviere. Centrally located, there is ample street parking within a few metres walk. Greeted on arrival with a friendly face and a refreshing rum punch drink, all the staff without exception during our stay were very friendly and cheerful.
The rooms are simple but bright and welcoming and equipped with air conditioning. Plenty of hot water for the shower. They do provide dinner in the evening for guests but this does have to be booked in advance. Breakfast consists of yoghurt, bread and fresh fruit with a hot drink and juice which we found quite sufficient.
The small town itself is interesting and very authentic, not at all geared to tourism. Local people are all very friendly and there is an attractive church to visit. There is a pleasant sea front good for strolling in the evening and a few hundred meters from the centre of town there is a nice beach with a tropical backdrop.

Amazing place in the North of Martinique, Extremely welcoming host, georgeous food, a true family owned place with a rich history.
Breakfast was also very nice and the roof top jacuzzi was a great add on to our familly stay.
A must stayover place in Grand Riviere, thank you for such a wonderful welcome.

My wife and I had lunch at the restaurant on a Sunday. Great atmosphere with live music and many locals singing along. Since the place was full, service took a bit of time but was very friendly. We loved our typical local seafood dishes.

Terrible Experience in Hotel and Restaurant!
I was travelling with my child and we came both very tired and hungry, they saw also that my child was already sleeping and really tired. As we came in for check in the guy on the reception was acting like a boss and told us we should wait untill his colleague ends making the tables for dinner and she war obviously not in the hurry. I asked him why he cannot let us check in, he told me he finished his work but was walking around the whole night afterwards.
After we were waiting some time and the sevice was ignoring us I went to the kitchen and the women from the kitchen stopped her work and went with us to open the room. Obviously she was the only person who did not felt too important to take care of clients.
As we came for dinner they told they have only chicken. I actually I read in the internet it is a fish restaurant and was looking forward the whole day to have wonderful fish meal there.
Instead I got a fish which was obviously not fresh prepared, probably from yesterday. Really hard and dry.
As I talked the service that the fish is not fresh they toled me it was frozen and after all they told me that I am crazy.
Were were also the only people for dinner, so that it was really clear, that it was not important to make us wait for room for making dishes for 50 people who will not come.
If I were a boss of that restaurant I would fire the boy on the counter und both waitresses.
