Location. It’s in the city center — close to everything (restaurants, stores, pharmacy, shops, ferry port).
It’s a furnished apartment (as pictured, with kitchen, good size bathroom, living & dining room space), bright, clean & well decorated.
Ferry dock is only 7 mins walk. We took the boat across the bay to Pointe du Bout (Rafael’s suggestion; only 9 € RT), where we had lunch & strolled around the beach area & shopped.
In addition, there’s EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION with the owner, Remi who promptly answered my questions. I had numerous on several occasions.
Plus, CUSTOMER SERVICE is GREAT. My husband has some walking problem. Rafael met us at the airport (with transfer fee) when we arrived & helped with our luggages up the stairs. He even stopped at a grocery store with a bakeshop & ATM on our way to the hotel so we could get some food & cash before settling in. Then the night before check out, Remi, asked if we needed help with luggages. He came at 8 am & brought them down for us.
-Excellent air conditioning system, which is very important in tropical countries.
CONs:
— No elevator. Fortunately, someone helped bring them up & bring them down. We were on the 3rd floor.
— High security deposit:350€ or $381. We only stayed for 2 nights. However, he said “it’ll be refunded after 1 week”.
— Keys. Front door is very tricky. I couldn’t open it initially & 5 people passing by attempted but unsuccessful. The trick is to slowly turn to the left & pushed (seemed so simple).
