Your Comments: Just returned after an 8 day stay. Read a lot of reviews complaining about rude staff, we found quite the opposite. The bar staff were a real laugh, the restaurant team were a little hit or miss but never encountered any unfriendliness. We stayed All Inclusive which if you are looking for somewhere that you can get decent food/drink for your entire stay this isn't recommended, the AI drinks were your standard local products which are much to be desired, and the evening menu was not great, think we had 2 evenings where the food was up to standard, on the other hand the breakfast was proper geared to the brits which we enjoyed. I think if we returned we would go B&B as there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and the cost to eat and drink out is by far the cheapest we've experienced within Europe. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable beds which is always a plus, the better rooms sit over the from of the hotel with great views from the top floor rooms. The air-con was ok, but there was always the ceiling fan to help cool the room down. The cleaner was in every day and fresh towels too. The pool area was a real sun trap between 0900-1500 every day at this time of year and if you wanted a little late afternoon sunshine then we found moving up to the top floor sun terrace meant you could continue sunbathing until at least 1930. There is no bar outside by the pool which meant you needed to dry off before going in to grab a couple of beers, also not bar on the roof terrace but it was easy enough to grab the lift up and down. The roof terrace has a hot tub, which by the time we every got to the roof had been drained off. The hotel also has an indoor pool which we never used due to the weather being so good, but a bonus if you were visiting in the winter months when the outdoor pools are too cold. The evening entertainment is very much geared to the older clientele along with the resort of Qawra, however this never stopped us from having a good night. All in all don't read too much into the negative reviews, the hotel is what you would expect for the price. The hotel holds a 4star rating but realistically don't expect anything more than 3+, I think the rating reflects the facilities. We had a fab 8 days and would recommend for a cheap break. Think we'll be back next year.
