Review of Canifor Hotel 4*

AVOID this hotel at all costs. The hotel hosts a lot of school children who are rude and disrespectful not only in the hotel but outside the hotel too — shouting and running in and out of shops and restaurants, being destructive to items in the hotel and outside in the small corner shops; the staff members of the groups allow the children to run riot and lay in the middle of the road with cars approaching. The mass of children are incredibly noisy during the day and late at night so do not expect to get any sleep past 3am — even if you do the air conditions sounds like an old generator and will keep you up at night instead — This would not be such a problem if staff dealt with complaints in a correct and sympathetic manner. I complained about the noise the children were making asking them to simply tell them to keep the noise down late at night, as not only was this impacting myself but also those around us who also have made complaints. When speaking to the receptionist she rolled her eyes at me and was very dismissive, she simply did not care about the problem. The staff have also been rude throughout the stay here, made no effort to greet or make the stay enjoyable, with bar staff getting angry when they overcharge you. The cleaning is also VERY poor and the breakfast in the morning is very limited and repetitive with the same basic items each and every morning. There is also a massive construction site that leaves dust around the hotel and in the pool. The pool water is incredibly dirty — both the indoor and the outdoor. The indoor pool has grime and mould collecting on the sides that is not cleaned and the water itself is so dirty that you cannot see the bottom even at a meter height. Please avoid this hotel at all costs, unless you want to share your holiday with 200 loud and disrespectful children and staff who do not care about you. This hotel does NOT DESERVE the 4 stars it has so do not be mislead by that rating.
