Our stay at the Radisson Golden Sands was very satisfying. The room was very spacious and cosy with a fully HD TV. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. The food is very good. We had an amazing dinner at the Indian restaurant of the Hotel. My daughter enjoyed the activities at the kids club while we could enjoy some time alone and felt safe to leave her there with the kids club staff. It was an amazing weekend 😊

We have had another amazing week at the Radisson Blu Golden Sands. We appreciate how hard it must be for the hotel and it's staff, given the last year of extreme challenges. Yet it retains all the class and excellent customer service as pre covid. Malta gives the warmest welcomes and we will be back next year for sure.

The place and kindness of people working in this hotel. From breakfast in Flavours good services in Lagoon pool and Peeble beach and the pizza with Gorgonzola noci miele and rucola at Agiolio we’ve ate yesterday … taste heavenly! We had really a good time.

But yesterday we went to aglio olio and the service was really bad because most of the waiters don’t speak or understand English. Also one of us ordered a Beef Fillett medium and was served as well done. To be honest this was changed after our complaint but than a ribeye was brought instead of Fillett. The other food ordered was good.

I stayed here with my two young boys from 28th June to 5th of July and had a fantastic week. Hotel was lovely and views were amazing. Had the odd fault with the room. (The safety lock on the top of the door didn’t work and I didn’t know, my 8 year old sleep walks and managed to sleep walk right out of the room room while I was asleep! The scariest moment of my life, but the hotel manager was amazing and the lovely couple that found him fetched him straight back to me and the door was fixed the next day) Fabio part of the animation team was amazing and aqua fit was so much fun. Jonathan around the bar/pool and mokka bar was also amazing both are such a credit to your hotel and should be recognised for going above and beyond to help, make us feel welcome and provide us with a great holiday experience! I was so happy to return and find that there was aqua gym and kids clubs and much more for kids and adults which was there 7 years ago. I love this hotel and looking forward to returning again soon. I travel a lot and so does my husband, but still this place goest to our TOP 3 in holiday destinations. The service is something I have never experienced before. Our kids were warmly welcomed and appreciated. Nothing was too complicated for this amazing staff. The aqua gym was superb fun! The food in aglioandolgio was outstanding. I really enjoyed and so did my whole family! I will definetly come back. Thank you!

A superb quality hotel with timeshare availability on offer. They provide an abundance of high quality facilities including a gym, four swimming pools, one dry and one steam sauna and entertainment rooms. The staff are very well trained and very friendly and provide excellent service. This is how you are supposed to enjoy your stay in the Maltese Islands.

We have just had a wonderful week staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Golden Sands. The breakfast, although quite expensive has a great selection of food and really is a good start to the day. The lunch and dinners are expensive but if you choose one of the cheaper restaurants it is fairly reasonable and good quality food. There are great facilities such as the superb outdoor pool and the gym is well stocked with good equipment. The staff are friendly and not overbearing. The room is quite small but certainly big enough for two. We also had the timeshare meeting but no pressure was put on us so it wasn't a problem. The hotel is a bit remote but there is a good bus service and we have travelled all over the island.

We have been several times in the hotel over the last years and this was a disappointing visit. The quality of the room was not matching our booking (we opted for a queen size bed which comes with a more generously sized room and a bathroom with a walking shower — strangely this room is charged as much as a sampler size room with a double bed the hotel staff was insisting to be a king size one! ) We were told our preferences do not have to be respected which felt very unprofessional especially when we are returning customers and come back with expectations on the level of comfort. The feeling is the hotel would take great care of newcomers who are being persuaded to buy timeshares but does it mean they are the only valued guests? Some signs also show decline, common areas like lobbies and corridors were not well ventilated: spa staff we knew from previous visits was all gone and also other staff from restaurants and reception shows great turnaround; some breakfast items disappeared. Most significantly, we had mould in the room and were swiftly moved to another room when we reported this but it is definitely not what one expected in a five star hotel with the super high summer rates. I doubt we would want to come back again although this is the only hotel at a nice location in Malta with a sandy beach (most Maltese beaches are rocky).

Excellent spa hotel in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff who are helpful and friendly. Rooms are well maintained, fresh and clean. The restaurants are top class offering a range of meals for all tastes and appetites. The grounds are immaculately cared for and the plentiful swimming pools are always clean and tidy. All in all a great place for a relaxing break.

My wife and I just came home from a 2 day break in this hotel. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Rooms, Pool areas, reception, services, restaurants, hotel staff, cleanliness. This is a true 5 star hotel that offers a true 5 star service, We had 1 complaint, (our original room was situated just on top of the hotel bar, where the hotel provides live music) since we have 2 babies with us we were concerned that the loud music would not let them sleep. Even though we didn't feel this was the hotel's fault, the hotel manager still got our room changed to what we think was a better one. Malta is currently going through a concrete jungle makeover, so for us who live in the middle of a concrete jungle, it was a true breath of fresh air to actually be in a place where no cranes can be seen from the balcony view.

Great hotel with a wonderful beach, crystal clear sea and amazing scenery. Spacious rooms with a kitchenette, friendly staff and excellent service. Breakfasts are very tasty and amazing in their variety. The small drawbacks include the lack of a hygienic shower or bidet in the room, and the lack of good custard coffee at breakfast. They pour some kind of bogey, which is called coffee. It may be soluble, but I haven't had that in a while. For a 5-star hotel, the lack of a coffee machine in the restaurant looks strange. Everything else — a great holiday!

My wife and I visited earlier this month for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The hotel and its surroundings are pretty stunning, as was the view from our apartment — which we were given as an upgrade from the room we had originally booked. The on-site bars and restaurants offer excellent food with very friendly service. Prices are a little high but not unreasonably so, especially considering the extremely generous portions. Definitely a case of both quality and quantit…y! We'd also booked breakfasts and were pleasantly surprised by the sheer variety of options on offer every morning. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her treatments in the on-site spa, which isn't really my kind of thing so I spent the morning hiking along the beautiful clifftop paths in the area! Other than that we made good use of the pool and loungers, which were always in immaculate condition, and there were good shuttle bus connections to the rest of the island and its various attractions. The resort is pretty out of the way and appears to attract an older demographic and families with young children, so if you're looking for a youthful buzz and vibrant nightlife it may not be what you're looking for. However, it's hard to imagine anywhere better for a peaceful, luxurious retreat to recharge your batteries.

Just returned back to the UK after 2 fantastic weeks at Golden Sands Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta. The view from our 1-bed apartment is simply staggering. This is our 7th stay at the resort. Facilities indoor & out are excellent for adults — especially the pool & gym. I can't comment for children as I don't have any. Everywhere is kept very clean & tidy. The staff are extremely courteous & friendly and resolve quickly any issues that arise. Mokka Bar is a favourite haunt for me — I entertained friends there 3 times and staff are very friendly and prompt. The views from Mokka are stunning. If you want an "away from it all" location — this hotel is perfect.

It’s a beautiful hotel, with a private beach and a massive pool area. Lots of options for dining and lovely bedrooms. Would happily stay here again!

Large 5 star resort, very clean pools and outside areas, lovely beach. Rooms are nice and large, most with kitchenette or full kitchens in suites. Maids clean each day. Good restaurants. Service excellent.

Excellent hotel, this is my second visit and will definitely be staying again in the future. Beautiful views, Beautiful service, Beautiful food. The rooms are kept very clean and cannot complain. The pool areas are lovely and clean too. The on site restaurants are very nice, and serve very good food. The deli on site is the only point that I complain about. The pricing has risen throughout the years and is now more expensive (2euro x1 2ltr bottle of water/mellieha town centre 2euro x6 bottles of water). Other than this, wonderful hotel.

The hotel is very opulent. They have a private beach. The rooms are spacious an the balcony was huge. True Radisson style food was awesome. We chose private taxi of hotel to fetch us at the airport it was quick an only 25 euro one way. The bus stop is convenient across the road. There is also a shuttle to Marxakloxx on a Sunday.

Booked a seaview suite to celebrate a special occasion. Staff were helpful from the initial booking process to the end of our stay. Can't thank them enough! The room was perfect, the views spectacular, and the selection at breakfast was amazing! Had dinner at Aglio Olio, which was great too, and again the staff were wonderful. We will surely make the time to visit again. A big thank you to the people that give that little bit extra to help create these beautiful experiences ;) See you again soon xxx.

Rooms are clean and toiletries maintained daily. Excellent room service especially if any issues with facilities. Location is distant from town centres such as Valetta, Bugibba etc but it is served by local buses that run 30 min to 1 hr. Leave extra time for bus journeys and waiting as considerable time is lost before arriving at destinations. May be renting a car is better. The hotel's jacuzzi, sauna, hot steam and pools are excellent. So overall it's a great hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel in and out. However if they give you a voucher which you win an holiday its a lie. We won an holiday up till today the email they claimed that it has been sent its yet to be received by myself. Don't be fooled.

Lovely resort everyone is so helping. My husband had 3 fall's while at the resort and all the staff were wonderful a couldn't have help me more. Our lovely rep Liam Murphy couldn't have been more helpful. Great chap.

Golden Sands is a beautiful resort in an excellent location. One thing that stood out was the quality of service we received through our stay. Kid friendly with loads of activities to keep the young ones busy, enough facilities to last a week long stay. Would definitely return. 5 stars!

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was perfect and the view is a million dollar view! As we drove all over Malta, there was no other resort that we saw that looked better to us. We will stay here again the next time we visit Malta.

Me and my partner planned to have a relaxed Sunday with my son swimming in the indoor pool. So last Wednesday I called the hotel to make a reservation for a one night stay, I was told that check out is at 12 and I asked if we will still can't use the pool and She said yes of course. Yesterday when I done the check in I asked again if we can't stay in the indoor pool after check out, and she said yes again. So at 12.30 we done the check out, us wearing our swimwear and house coats and when we arrive at the pool we were told that kids are allowed in the pool after 4.30 pm. So basically we ended up with our small retreat ruined because no one advised us about this. Although the food was good, I still give 1star as we didn't reach the expectations we had in mind. If I knew about this I would have obviously choosen an other hotel.

We love this hotel. Perfect location, lovely sea views, clean, great breakfast and food. The downside is that last year there were more activities for the kids, like muffin decoration and a treasure hunt. This year no.

Especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff responsible for me in the various departments have made my stay a holiday.
A bit secluded, but the beach right next to the hotel. Since it was too cool anyway with just under 13 degrees for bathing on the beach, I used the indoor pool. Currently, renovation works are being carried out in various areas, but they have not disturbed me. My room was also just under 250 meters away from the biggest building site. I think most of it is done from around May.
Public bus service directly at the hotel and for 1, €50 for 2 hours no matter where you want on the island unbeatably cheap. Went to Buggiba, duration about 15 minutes.
Breakfast was very extensive and consistently good. Fresh egg dishes and pancakes, just great. Cappuccino is served and was very tasty, though from a fully automatic machine. Henri is the soul of the breakfast crew and accompanies every guest to his table. Friendly and with an inner calm, he entschleunigt the beginning of the day, a class of his own.
My room was a suite with kitchenette. Household refrigerator, 2 hotplates, microwave and the necessary utensils to cook small dishes yourself. However, I did not take advantage of this opportunity because I was pampered for dinner at essence. The Agliolio (former top address) is currently closed due to the above mentioned renovations.
Every penny of my stay was well spent and I am happy to be there again in the summer.

First-class attention, the food is excellent and the view spectacular.

I called in to take a look and have a coffee in case I might consider staying here sometime. The immediate impression was one of some opulence with high qualiy interior design throughout the public areas. But they have high prices to match which I would find hard to justify, e. G. €5.5 for a small slice of cheesecake in the cafe.

Well kept hotel and bars. Lovely views. Not much veggie choice in restaurants. Staff helpful. Indoor pool too small for a good swim and too much time given to use by children.

I will start with the fact that the views from the hotel are simply grandiose: the expanses of the sea, the landscapes are very beautiful. The natural environment surrounding the hotel is also impressive.
Coffee in the bar on the veranda-the previous procedure of the spa-part of a pleasant ritual. The waiters are impeccably polite, coffee and pastries are excellent.
The staff at the spa is friendly, pleasant! In the locker room and showers are clean. But the pool! About it a special word: spacious, clean water very pleasant temperature. Quiet, the views from the window are amazing. Beauty!
Jacuzzi? Too much chlorine, so nauseous and foam-over the edge, the eyes blushed. Had to be washed. Sauna is a gem of a spa!
Who's the smart guy who designed it with a glass wall? Luxury is to sit on the marvelous purity of the planks and to behold every minute the changing sky drawing, to observe the game of wind with trees.

Luxurious hotel on the beautiful Bay of Golden Bay. On the beach there is a bounded area and equipped exclusively for the guests of the Hotel. Excellent diving Center service for those who want to experience the thrill of diving for the first time or for those who already had an underwater patent.

Wow! Where to start! I chose this hotel not knowing whereabouts in Malta Golden Bay was! What a location! I chose to come away alone, for some me time, and it started right there at check in when I was upgraded to a sea view room! As the porter opened the door I was blown away by the situation of the room! Right in the middle tower looking over the bay! This to me is pure bliss! Patio door open every night just listening to the sea and the birds! A complimentary bottle of red wine was a welcome touch. The bed is comfy. Products divine. Housekeeping second to none. The spa is amazing and all the staff I encountered are so friendly and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. The drifter taxi service offers great fares for days out, best booked at least the day before. I only used the Mokka bar and cant fault it. I did have room service and again I can't fault it. My first time in Malta and I can't imagine any other hotel could be nicer. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay and actually looked to extend for 2 extra nights but there are no direct flights available, back to Manchester, so I'm reluctantly leaving in the morning.

I just spend a few wellness days alone in this, admittedly send, but also something in the years coming hotel.
The location is fantastic… great beach, great sea view, Schòne, spacious pool area.
So far… so good.
You have to be clear from the outset that everything here is very British, and also mostly designed for Britshische holidaymakers. It's all pretty stiff and formal… the staff friendly.
But I'm really upset about another situation.
I'm here to do some treatments at the spa. These treatments are very good… very high quality… but also very expensive. That's OK… you know the prices before. What is very annoying and annoying is that after each treatment the products used are practically imposed… not 1 or 2… a whole battery full, you are very fast times at 400 or 500 euro.
If you refuse to thank you, you are immediately well half as friendly as before.
This behavior is not appropriate for sales strategy and a 5 star hotel.
If you want to buy products, although they are very overpriced, then one will say that I think, but so to be coerced… and then it must look that one comes out again… this is not nice, especially very unrelaxing, because during the treatment you already That you can get away with later.
Spa is great, but unfortunately it is only designed to earn money on the products. What a pity…
I have been to many 5 star hotels… so I have never experienced it before.

4.5/5. Very good hotel and resort. TV size should be larger at least 32". More restaurant options with the resort is required. Good swimming and Wi-Fi facilities. Room make up daily is good too. Late check out option is convenient. Private beach is very good too.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful quiet corner of Malta. The staff are so polite and attentive. The food is varied and amazing. Sit on the veranda of the Flavours bar and watch amazing sunsets, quite exquisite. Service at the bar a little slow! Shame. Avoid room 2317 bit like an exercise yard. Bird man of Alcatraz!

Good hotel, unfortunately not 5 * standard large hotel with many amenities. The restaurant service has "room for improvement". Had a room to the side; Was I. O. Although the double bed for a 5 * house was also clearly too small.

My stay with Radisson Golden Sands between 12/09/17 — 19/09/17 was very comfortable with all amenities available. I would recommend this resort due to high standards of customer service from the daily room maintenance to the friendly and welcoming staff. Accommodation is to a high standard, I stayed in an apartment which had balconys all-around with sea view. During my stay I was helped by a lady called Katherine at reception due to an incident with my car hire. She went out of her way to contact the car provider and the Airport in order to get some assistance. Without her help I would have struggled to sort this issue. Thank you very much Katherine :) Golden sands has everything you could need on location including a sandy beach just a short walk from the Radisson. I would definitely return to this resort.

No way at 5 star resort, more like a basic holiday inn. Fortunately we received a good offer through the timeshare promotion. If visiting suggest going to the apple eye restaurant down the road, it's much better than the hotel restaurants.

Were stay at the Radisson Blue Golden Sands our apartment is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom lounge n kitchen we have part sea view n country views it's just as good as we expected from a Radisson Hotel really is 5 with staff that reflects there high standards. Lots of activities in house n around the pool the very best restaurants with food from all different countries a must place to stay n rest n chill out. The staff can't do enough for u we have been pampered.

I'm here as a trainee living at the hotel. The suites are well equipped with a kitchenette including storage, plauqes, fridge + plates, cutlery, glasses, pans, etc. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Very good restaurants.
The big Plus is the staff who is warm, very helpful, always smiling while as a member of the staff I see all the work behind. Very welcoming, it is a pleasure to work with them and to see them so devoted.

Great hotel. We love it and go nearly every year. As we have small kids we just wish it was within walking distance of other stuff like restaurants, shops and bars etc.

I put a star because it is not possible not to put at all. We were with my friends to have access to the day at the hotel pool. The reception was deplorable and humiliating. A waitress told us to wait until she went to see a manager to find out if we had the right to stay, then the security came because this waitress said that we had settled down without asking and that we wanted to go out. So in front of everyone we got kicked out like clean evil. Very disappointed with the reception of this property.

Lovely hotel and great staff. Rooms decent. Food very good. Went as part of a discounted timeshare trip which wasn't at all intrusive. 3 hour meeting which was quite interesting but not something for us. Would recommend for the facilities and great sandy beaches, plus location for trips around the island.

A wonderful hotel, the staff are all fantastic. I was taken ill whilst we stayed at the hotel and the staff couldn't of been more helpful or caring. The setting is stunning, the beach is where Troy was filmed. The breakfast is amazing, I especially recommend the salmon. We loved our stay so much we have already booked our return visit.

Great Hotel we had rooms overlooking sea Staff were very helpful and friendly. Large rooms well furnished and very comfortable little chocolate every day on bed was great. Restaurants had good choice and was excellent value. Only downside it's a bit remote especially if you want evening entertainment but bus services very good didn't use them in evening. Also being self catering there wasn't a supermarket nearby and you really need a car if doing lot of shopping.

Went on Holiday here a few days ago, lively staff, great service, fantastic restaurants and 5 star rooms, would definitely want to visit again sometime.

Just back from this resort. It has the best disabled access apartment ever! The wardrobes and cupboards have rails and shelves that can be pulled down for easy access, the safe is at a level where you don't have lie flat on your stomach to access it and the bathroom is excellent. Golden Sands has a manager that is 'action man'! If you raise an issue with the staff or let him know directly then if something can be done it will be done. No platitudes or excuses, if it is a genuine concern then something will be done. What a refreshing change. The weather was great, the staff, without exception, are all helpful and friendly. What more could anyone want?!

An excellent hotel. The best one in the North of Malta. Great location and views too. Decent bus connections. Strongly recommended!

It is one of the best hotels that we have in Malta.

This my second visit and certainly was not disappointed. Such a beautiful place and elegant hotel. The pools are clean, the beach alot of fun. Choices of restaurants and bars. The staff are brilliant (Miss you Henry! ) and friendly. Rooms were spacious with everything you could think of in it to make our stay comfortable. Certainly coming again very soon, God willing!

Too remote but nice hotel.

Love this hotel stayed many times, the staff are top notch, food and drinks are brilliant, the hot chocolates are especially nice! The beach and beach facilities are good too, nice walks and staff will always help book a cab to other places. Would recommend and will be returning again and again.

Alison Woodhouse… We went back end of October last year, everyday was warm, 5 out of 7 were sunny then sun and cloud on other days, but always nice and warm enough to swim, 20+ all week.

I love this hotel been twice worth going again staff are lovely pool indoor and out are warm and well kept please vist and rate.

We have been coming to Golden Bay since 2008. Cannot fault the place. Eating cost abit expensive.

This hotel is now in its 10th year. It has gone from strength to strength, improving its service and quality year on year. At the moment I am sitting on the penthouse of the middle tower appropriately called Heavenly Colection. Come and find out for yourselves.

A fabulous hotel in a glorious setting. Friendly and helpful staff and a huge variety of restaurants to choose from — all serving excellent fare. I will definitely be going back here as soon as possible and would recommend it to anyone visiting Malta that would like a quiet, relaxing location to recharge batteries.

Sea, beach, pool, umbrellas — everything perfect. Suitable for honeymooners. Disadvantage: gym a lack of hygiene and maintenance of equipment.
