Talbot & Bons Bed & Breakfast

The proximity with the airport (walking distance) is very convenient. The place is cute and with character, with fully furnished rooms. It is located in a small town with nothing much to offer though. When I stayed, there was only one person to manage everything for the breakfast, resulting in messy place, missing things, delayed request.

I had a very early morning flight and so booked a night at the Talbot. It is an easy ten minute safe walk through well lit streets (nb cross the main road bt the airport at the pedestrian crossing to ensure you are walking on the pavement not the road which is what Google map suggested).
Although it doesn't seem much from the outside, and it's in a residential area without many options for food/socialising, it's beautiful and well renovated. The room was great — very clean and decent size with coffee machine and good sized bathroom. There is also a pool. The proximity to the airport means there are lots of bolts and users nearby who can come quickly to take you somewhere more lively if need be.
I arrived after reception had closed and didn't see any staff — but the instructions were good and clear in terms of finding the room.

The location was very convenient, being close to the airport. The communication before check-in was also very polite and smooth, which helped me stay at ease upon arrival. The staff were kind and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay.
But The electric kettle had a strange odor and could not be used, which was inconvenient. Also, the door didn’t close properly, allowing insects to enter, and unfortunately, I encountered cockroaches during my stay. There was no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage up the stairs required some physical effort.
While the close airport location and friendly staff were positive points, the presence of cockroaches in the room was very disappointing and affected my comfort.
If you dislike bugs, you should be somewhat prepared.

Perfect walk from the airport, was really easy to find on my own and only took about 13minutes to walk here! Room was beautiful, and was the perfect stay and all the supplies I would need for a stay including charger box, coffee machine, water boiler. Everyone was so nice! Overall amazing stay.

This was a real disappointment! Hotel was deserted by 3:00 pm with no staff to check you in or help tote luggage up the treacherous old outdoor stairs. The room was tiny with low doorways and a step up into the bathroom… possibly great for hobbits but not for average sized humans. Dirty wineglasses and curtains. Underwhelming brown bag breakfast for early morning departure. We would not stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night as it was close to the airport & we had an early flight. We stayed in 1 room as a family of 4 with plenty of space & a gorgeous bathroom. The hotel is lovely and the staff were amazing. My son left his air pods at the hotel & they went above and beyond to return them to us. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Malta.

Great little place. No elevator. So if you have heavy luggage get a lower room. Very helpful in the morning with someone to help bring it down.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at this boutique hotel. It is very welcoming and nicely decorated, having the rustic look well-blended with a modern touch. The room was well-equipped with all necessities.
The pool area is small but very nice. The breakfast served is varied and tasty.
Very close to the airport within walking distance.

I went with my mother and child. I have to go airport late night, Though the hotel doesn’t have 24*7 reception or staff but everything is handy.
It was a lovely and safe stay.
There was less options for breakfast for my mother, as she doesn’t eat non veg so they helped us to reheat our food in their oven.
Thanks to the helping staff,, I don’t remember the name but you know who you have helping staff.

Talbot & Bons Boutique Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful B&B located in Gudja, one of Malta's oldest villages, conveniently close to the Malta International Airport. It is a 400-year-old farmhouse converted into this charming, homey accommodation. Complete with a quiet swimming pool in the back, you can relax and forget about your day. The rooms are all different but all super comfortable. There are sitting areas in the courtyard, by the pool, and a funky cool little nook off the courtyard. Breakfast in the morning has both hot and cold items. I recommend getting there early to ensure a nice hot breakfast. If you have an early flight, they will pack you up a tasty breakfast that will be waiting for you to grab on your way out the door. It is so close to the airport that you can actually walk there in fifteen minutes, tops. Just a block down from the hotel in the old part of Gudja. There are some restaurants and a newly remodeled band club with a nice bar and a restaurant with pub food. We find it ideal for a quiet night in a big cozy bed with a nice breakfast before heading out on a flight. Well worth the money.

Quirky, can be a lot of steps to your room as stairs climb round a courtyard.
But nicely furnished and thought through.
Very convenient for the airport, easy walk I wouldn't get a taxi unless heavy luggage.

Loved the room, the cleanliness, the services offered, and the outside areas as well.
The breakfast was really good, fresh and there was a good choice of food to start the day.
