The property is beautiful, the location is perfect for visiting the Citadel and all the bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Each room is different. Each room has character. Each room is worth staying for a few nights. The roof terrasse allows for best views of the castle, as you can see in the picture. The owners are very caring, and breakfast has some small surprise every morning.
From Provicario, it is a short walk to the bus station. Even the southern beach of Xlendi can be reached by a nice walk. Do it!

Gorgeous quirky hotel in a perfect location in central Victoria. Isabelle and Patrice are excellent hosts who are full of recommendations (extremely beneficial as Gozo is full of hidden treasures! )
We loved the breakfasts — served as a selection of items to your table rather than a classic hotel buffet, including an ever-changing rotation of Maltese pastries and treats. It rapidly became a daily highlight!
Beautiful room with ample terrace, and access to a kitchen and communal roof terrace. The building itself is a historic Maltese townhouse so has a great vibe (although it does also have a LOT of stairs! )
We loved it — would very happily stay again!

During May 2022, my girlfriend and I visited Malta for 8 days and started our trip in Gozo. We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in the Deluxe King Suite. The room was very spacious and had its own private terrace overlooking parts of the old town including a nice view of the citadella. The location of the Provicario was great, close to the bus station, restaurants and small stores, right in the middle of the old town.
But what made our stay great, were the hosts, Isabelle and Patrice. A very welcoming French couple who have created a nice home for guests who are away from home. They always had time for a quick chat during breakfast, pointing out places to go or recommending great restaurants.
Breakfast every morning was served on the roof top terrace which was pretty basic, however more than enough to start off the day. Each morning they served 1 local speciallity which was different every morning. This was a nice touch. Enjoying breakfast on the terrace with its view was of course unbeatable.
From here we did many day trips, rented a scooter for 2 days and were able to park the scooter in front of the main door, where they even had a security camera set up, in case something would happen. However we never had any issues and felt safe throughout our whole stay. They dont have any car parking space, so if you rent a car, you need to check in advance where you could park close by or ask the hosts.

A modern style room (sunset) in a beautifully restored historic building. Very comfortable bed and the large balcony is a great feature.
Lots of stairs up to the room as mentioned when booking but not a problem.
The breakfast is lovely. Really like how they offer local delicacies and different things for each day. The blood orange juice and jam are delicious.
Patrice is very welcoming and we enjoyed our little chats with him each breakfast and his helpful recommendations.
Perfect location being in the beautiful old town area and also close to the bus stop and lots of bar/restaurants.
You can easily explore the whole of Gozo from this location.

This was an excellent place to base myself on my first visit to Gozo. Only a few minutes from the bus station where every where on the Island is easily accessible. Also great for a variety of restaurants on the door step as well as exploring the Old Town. Fantastic views of the Citadel. The accommodation itself is tastefully and simply decorated, very smart and clean. The owners are loveli and I especially enjoyed the thoughtful touches of a different Gozitan treat every breakfast. It was also nice to have access to the fridge upstairs and to sit on the lovely balcony at night. Great place!

What an absolute treat Provicario is. Patrice and Isabelle are two of the most convivial hosts you could ever wish for, and their property is a classy labour of love full of delightful individual touches. Breakfast is served on the covered roof terrace with glorious views over the Cittadella.
The king suite is a magnificent space with its own private terrace and is furnished with new, carefully chosen complementary pieces.
Victoria makes a good base for exploring Gozo, especially by public transport. Patrice and Isabelle are happy to recommend several excellent local restaurants. The town itself can initially feel a little less than delightful, its traffic-clogged main throughfare and associated pollution giving a poor first impression but give it time and Victoria will reveal its charms gradually, with a pleasant old town, and several pleasant squares in addition to its glorious walled city.

Our room was large, light and airy, with a lovely roofed balcony overlooking Independence Square, and with a view of the Cittadella. It had everything we needed. The breakfast terrace also provides a view of the Cittadella and the St George Basilica. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, with fresh ingredients. Isabelle and Patrice, our hosts, could not have been more accommodating, friendly and helpful. Honestly 10/10, we were treated like royalty. And located in the narrow older streets of Victoria really made it perfect.
