We stayed here a week plus an extra night at the last minute. Generally the hotel is very clean. Staff are great, always helpful and cheerful. The food from the cafe is very good value for money. We ate here every night except one. The menu is large but basic. We loved the pizzas. Order a small as it is virtually the same size as the large. The waiters hold us this before we ordered, but then my boyfriend went on to order both sizes on consecutive nights, just to make sure! The rooms are on the small side, the balconies are even smaller, but it is a 3 star. Rooms were all clean with daily maid service. Maids were all chatty and friendly. We used the daily courtesy bus. It takes you to a different beach each day. Monday to Friday. So we feel this was great as the coast is so different in different places.

Fine hotel for what was a very last minute booking after other accommodation fell through. The breakfast that was included was a bit disappointing, eggs tasted like rubber and instead of the toaster working there was toast left under a hot lamp, not exactly what you want. Milk was also left out and not refrigerated which in 30C you think it would be.

I am in this hotel for work all in all discreet but no by golden prize of Trip Advaisor exhibited in the lobby.

Very central, good access, easy parking, good choice of food, affordable prices and helpful staff.

Pleasant stay and best of all the hotel is pet friendly! Will visit again in the future.

When we were there, apart from us, the clientele was exclusively over 70 years old. So it's not really a family place to spend a nice family holiday.
Another thing: All the Internet sites mention a rooftop pool. By the time we were there the pool was closed, the front desk didn't know when it was going to be open. We were sneaking in. Honestly, she's in such a state that I think they never intend to reopen it. Plus it's tiny.

Clean and spacious room, a lovely Place, unfortunately, what a pity!, the room was near the engines for the light or for the water… all night…

A great place to stay in Gozo, friendly staff, good food & centrally located.

Very good budget hotel if you like to be in the centre of Victoria very close to everywhere in Gozo.

Nice room with all amenities, very clean, nice flat screen TV, excellent Wi-Fi signal, and very well priced. Good buffet breakfast as well. Will be visiting again.

Stopped for a coffee and a slice of apple pie. Is in the back streets of Victoria on the Marselforn side of the main road from the harbour. The pie and the coffee were both good, at a reasonable price, and the lady who served me was pleasant.

Good breakfast choice and excellent service. Can phone through internal extensions to other rooms and reliable Wi-Fi. Moderate prices.

Great hotel — highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

The Downtown Hotel is not the most central of hotels, about an almost 10 minute walk from the bus station. Our room was in front of the hotel with a view of the street, not very exciting. The room was clean and tidy, it was ok. The staff were very helpful and quick to please. Breakfast was ample and tasty. My wife and I would recommend this hotel for a quick stay, one maybe two days.

Good service and good hospitality. Have engaged Downtown Hotel to host a group of Italian music students and they were really satisfied with the service.

Great place — relaxed and friendly! Small but really nice swimming pool. Close to shops, restaurants, bars and the Citadel.

While visiting Malta I stayed at three different hotels and this one was hands down the best of the them, and the cheapest also, even when I payed a bit extra for balcony with a countryside view. Room was clean and comfortable, with a big flat screen TV and air conditioning. Breakfast was not too fancy but had everything for standart English breakfast and should accommodate everyone including ones with special (and reasonable) diets. In addition to that there is a kids friendly swimming pool with sunbeds on the roof. It also has good location with only few minutes walk to main bus station and Citadel. The only issue I had was their Wi-Fi setup because it did not work with my Chromecast, however signal was strong and solid.
