Nice B&B with very attentive and helpful owner. Breakfast was also really good with a lot of attention to detail. Would recommend for a stay on the Island of Gozo.

Beautiful building, lovely room and very comfortable bed. Continental breakfast and cake. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Shower nice and powerful. Walking distance to the main square of Qala and a handful of eateries and bars. Hondoq Bay 25 minute walk away. Buses a few minutes walk (although only one an hour). Taxi from Mgarr only takes about 8 minutes. Victoria and the citadella is only 25 minutes away on the bus. We love Gozo and the slow pace of life, Betty Cakes was a great place to stay with a nice pool. Our room (2) had a view of the pool a fridge and a kettle. Would definitely recommend and would love to return!

Lovely B&B. Hostess was super friendly, and the pool was very refreshing. No disruption from fellow guests. Rooms were tidy. The included breakfast was good enough. Overall enjoyed our stay very much, we highly recommend this B&B.

A truly wonderful place to stay while visiting Gozo Island. The rustic atmosphere, the friendly host and the quiet surroundings, make you want to come back any time. The rooms are very clean and the pool is perfect after a hot day of exploring, which is easy to do thanks to the bus station close by.

An amazing farmhouse with beautiful features. Very clean and very delicious breakfast especially the Victorian cake 😍. They where very nice and took very good care of us. For sure I will consider to go again, no regrets thankyou very much.

Our review for Betty's is in 2 parts! There are so many things to love about our experience, and yet we feel it wasn't quite what we expected based on Tripadvisor and Google Reviews that we used to make our decision to stay.
Positives — location great! Set in a beautiful village with some good dining and drinking options. Close to some great beaches! Denise was amazing — helped us book a table at a local restaurant, provided a phone charger we had forgotten etc. Rooms were fairly well equipped and quite clean. Pool area lovely. Prosecco available to purchase is a nice touch.
Negatives — toilet seat broken. Some areas of the property roped off, which we found unnecessary and a little unwelcoming. There were 4 couples staying in the b and b, and only 2 sun loungers — it was quite awkward at times because more than 1 couple wanted to use the sun loungers at the same time.
Our biggest issue is that this business has been acquired recently and it's quite different to how its previous owner ran it. 'Betty' was not there anymore, which also meant no fresh cakes! We were there for 6 nights and we found the breakfast buffet repetitive and a little basic. There were cakes, but they were not fresh and were clearly supermarket-bought. There was also not enough food for all the people staying. I would expect the option of a cooked breakfast for the price we paid.
There are so many great things about Betty Cakes, but our main issue was that it just wasn't quite what was promised.

Betty is one of the best hostess I have ever met. Everything was perfect, upfront help, arrival, breakfast, support during your stay, and she is a very nice person talking to, about anything. The location is perfect. Although when you arrive you think hmmm, is this the place, but once opening the front door, it’s all very clean, nicely decorated and equipped and the house is providing a very good atmosphere. Unfortunately we did not use the pool but it’s looking perfect. The two terraces are fantastic with one on the roof with a fantastic view over Qala, Gozo and Malta. So, the place to be when exploring Gozo.

Quiet place and very clean accompanied by a good breakfast. Highly recommend.

Betty is a super host and she made sure we had everything we wished for. She is very friendly, kind and always ready to help. Betty takes pride in her work and it shows in everything she does. The House.
On entering you are immediately welcomed by the warmth and homely feeling this house portrays. You can feel the relaxed atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Betty makes sure it is kept clean and she follows the Covid rules and regulations perfectly. Breakfast.
This is a 5 star breakfast. Everything is freshly cooked and home baked. Served on a lovely laid out table. We always woke up looking forward to her breakfasts, she catered for gluten free too. The bedrooms.
The rooms are a good size and very airy and well lit. The linen is super clean and of good quality. The pool.
The outside area is just enough for a small group of friends. The pool is clean and the surrounding area is well kept. Our stay with Betty and her husband was perfect because they looked after us like family. Thank you dear Betty for a lovely stay and for your little cakes left for us in the evening in the living room :)

Very highly recommended. Extremely clean place. The decor is very nice and homely. The rooms are very well equipped with ACs and Wi-Fi, and the pool area is ideal to relax. Above all, the host Betty goes out of her way to see that her guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay.

Betty is very kind and caring. The property is clean and the rooms are manicured and well furnished. Very relaxing place, breakfast is great with a selection of homemade cakes and muffins. Very recommended.

The place is a 5* on all levels… better than most 5* hotels. Service with a smile, homey, elegant, clean, genuine delicassies, attention to detail when it comes to soft furnishings, lovely home fragrance. I highly recommend the place hand on heart.
