Cesca's Boutique Hotel

We’ve stayed at this hotel in Gozo three times before and always had a warm, welcoming experience — which is exactly why we kept coming back. Sadly, this most recent stay was a complete disappointment and a stark contrast to everything we experienced in the past.
From the moment we checked in, things went wrong. The process was handled with clear incompetence, and instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like an inconvenience. Hoping to resolve things, we spoke directly to the owner — but that only made matters worse. Rather than listening or showing any understanding, he repeatedly dismissed our concerns and chose to repeat the same excuses instead of offering any form of solution, compensation, or even a simple gesture of goodwill.
The room itself was unacceptable. The air conditioning was not working, leaving us stuck in a 25°C room throughout the night — extremely uncomfortable and not what you expect when paying for a hotel stay. On top of that, the cleanliness was clearly below standard: dust balls and hair were visible, and it was obvious the room had not been properly vacuumed before our arrival.
This level of service and hygiene is simply not acceptable. What’s most disappointing is not just the issues themselves, but the complete lack of accountability and customer care when they were raised.
We left feeling frustrated and let down.

Such a beautiful setting — amazing staff — Grace was the perfect manager, witty, friendly and very chilled. The verandah by the pool looks onto a gorge with birds chirping all around and singing in the trees. I did view a delux room and they are unbelievably quiet with private balconies & views across the gorge which are fantastic, but I chose the classic Maltese style room in the end. It was gorgeous. Beautiful bedding, soft, clean and luxurious. Best sleep I had my whole time in Malta and Gozo. The room was by the road to Victoria but don’t let that put you off, it’s not particularly busy and any car passing is a quiet hum in the background — the birds chirping outside the door were louder (and charmingly relaxing. ) Breakfast is amazing — high quality food expertly cooked. Check out is a very civilized 12 o’clock. Highly recommend this hotel for its views, ambience and relaxing vibe.

Stayed 3 nights mid-March. Believe all the reviews, this hotel is gorgeous, full of character. Beautiful room on 4th floor. Lovely breakfast in the dining room with stunning views of the gorge. Carmelino & staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Great location between Xlendi and Victoria — but you'll need a car and parking can be a challenge on the road. Would be even nicer in warmer weather to enjoy the pool on the terrace, though this hotel is good any time of year. Thank you Carmelino!

My husband and I spent two nights in this beautiful hotel set in the splendid Munxar Valley on the way to Xlendi. The well appointed room was very comfortable and clean, the ambience warm and welcoming. High quality towels and bed linen gives you a feeling of 5 star luxury. Breakfast is excellent served and prepared fresh a la carte. The staff go the extra mile to make you feel at home and see to every need. We highly recommend Cesca Boutique hotel without any reservation. Cannot wait to return!
