Disappointing.
I had seen the reviews of this hotel after booking it but we were walking the Gozo coastal path and this was right on the route so went with it. We also got it at a discounted price. First off I will say the good bits. The foyer downstairs is nice, they let us check in early, they allowed us to store our bag and kept it safe and there was Wi-Fi. Now the rest — the breakfast is easily the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. I saw the list of who was staying in the hotel (as nobody greated us for breakfast) there was 8 couples staying in the whole hotel. We got to breakfast at 7:20, it started at 7 and the food was like it had been sat ready for ages or recycled from another day. Even the fruit was bad. The cups had chips and cracks in them and were stained. We did get a nice view though of the bay. There was a mix up with our room and the hotel wouldn't give us the sea view we had paid for and were demanding extra money. It wasn't their fault it but they were unwilling to help us and told us to contact Agoda which then took hours and they were unable to sort. When I saw the next day only 8 couples were staying I can't understand why they wouldn't place us in one of those rooms anyway. The room itself was pretty clean but was a bit tired. The curtains were very dirty and had holes in them. The air con made noises all night and we couldn't get it to work to cool the room so it was very hot. There was a fridge but it had rusting shelves inside.

The room was honestly run down. Some tiles were broken and wobbly in the room. The morning shower had no hot water, the chair in the room was ripped up on one of the arms. The shower curtain has big black stains.
The staff was really nice and sweet, except when we ordered room service we had to explain for 3 minutes over the phone from our room that we didn’t check out in emergency and that we were indeed in the room waiting for our food. The pizza was definitely not made on site, and my Coke turned out to be a Coke Zero. I wouldn’t recommend their food, but I can’t say it enough, the staff at the front desk was awesome, friendly and welcoming.
Great location, and dog friendly!

This hotel is a bit of a mash up of modern and old. Basically clean and staff helpful. Decent sized rooms but a tiny bathroom with shower over the bath.
Breakfast was dreadful as supposedly hot food was basically tepid. OK if you just want cold food, but limited fruit and no muesli. Fruit juice was weak and we had to ask for teaspoons to eat a small tub of yogurt. Toast was either underdone or burned, depending how often you put it through the machine. Goodness only knows what Room Service food or Evening Meals in the 'restaurant' was like.
The bed was two singles pushed together. Therefore the quilt wasn't big enough and was on sideways with the opening down one side and the quilt stuck out as the cover wasn't big enough. We also found holes in the quilt cover.
Didn't use the ceiling fan over the bed as the blades were rusty.
The bathroom grouting was black in places, although the tiles looked clean. I had to ask for a non slip mat to go in the base of the bath. They did provide one, but without any grab rails, having a shower was a risky business. Towels very basic too.
The overall finish of everything in the holed was OK until you looked closely. Great view from the balcony, but chairs and table faded and flaking. Pool area needed lots of TLC.
OK as a base to look around the island.
