A very wonderful and relaxing island.

We had an absolutely amazing time here this week. Only left today & already want to go back. The food is outstanding at all 3 restaurants & the chefs are so friendly. Mei & her team at Shangri-La are amongst the friendliest people we have ever met. They really look after everything. The water villas are amazing & offer everything you need. The snorkelling is out of this world & the island is just paradise. Thank you so much for making our 22nd wedding anniversary amazing in every way possible.

The most perfect getaway. Staff are super friendly and ensure that your wants and needs are met. Lots of activities if you're wanting to do something, as well as an amazing place just to relax. Different cuisines and restaurants to choose from every night. Shangri-la Villingili accommodates in every way possible. It is definitely a place we will be visiting again! Thank you for the amazing week :)

Great memories of VR&S. Arrived at such a beautiful island, got warm smiles, friendly greetings by a super professional staff ; from breakfast staff, to our butler up to the GM. We loved sampling the restaurants, snuggling on the terrace of the water villa, listening to the breeze & watching the ocean. Went snorkeling at ‘our’ reef, excursions for watching dolphins, turtles and fishing which ended in nice BBQ. All in all ; a dream property!

All the staffs were v friendly and helpful! Service is outstanding! Although saying this cocktails were limited and whisky too! No champagne! Only Prosecco which I don’t like!

The staff are beyond kind and accomodating, food is varied and divine and the cocktails are going down a treat! Highly recommended!

Helpful and friendly staff, unbeatable view, full variety of water sport, nice diving site and snorkeling point. Definitely will come again.

One point to mention is that we were totally unaware of the additional transfer costs from Male to Gan — as were a few other couples we spoke to. I feel this information should be up front. Also I feel that the access to snorkelling equipment should be included in your stay, surely some method of security could be taken to ensure the return of gear at the end of your stay. My husband and I hired the flippers and snorkel/mask and then went on the snorkel boat trip where all epuipment was provided and no discount was given for people who had already paid for the equipment? One other point is that as there are only 3 dining options and I feel they should be open 7 days so you don't get disappointed when you save a special dinner for your last evening to find out the restaurant is not open?

The service and food was excellent. Everyone me met were so kind and obliging. The island is stunning and we loved the water activities in particular. Snorkelling with reef sharks, Manta rays and turtles is something we will never forget. Thank you for having us!

What makes the place very nice? It's the hospitality of the staff from the Gen Manager down to the staff. The whole island is basically your playground. The flora and fauna in the island is diverse it is teeming with corals, colored fishes, sea turtles, small sharks, stingrays, very large fox bats, white terns and lots of geckos. The view is breath taking frim sunrise to sunset if you know where to look. Bikes are available as well as a service golf cart Modern facilities and conveniences are also present in case you get bored with nature.

We had an amazing experience and 100% will be back again. The staff were the best we’ve experienced and helped us relax and enjoy our stay. We also highly enjoyed the magicians who were very personable and entertaining, we thought it was a great / original idea.

We have stayed for 7 nights in this piece of paradise, it was our honeymoon and at the end, we could not be happier with the choice of the destination and hotel. We loved absolutely everything about it, the island itself is quite huge, and you cannot get bored by any means. There are a lot of activities and stuff that you can do, actually, we didn't even had enough time to try out everything. Probably the biggest highlight is very friendly and helpful staff, we really enjoyed chatting with our favorite waiters during the breakfast and dinner. And the food quality is a story for itself… This really exceeded our expectations as we knew that we are going on a tiny island in the middle of the Indian ocean. Hopefully, we can return here in the near future, meanwhile, all we can do is highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect vacation — look no further!

Beautiful resort with great villas that make you feel real special. Great house reef and a sprawling golf course. The only thing that needs improvement is the service time.

What to say about this paradise below the Equator? This island supports the highest point in Maldives — 5 meters above sea level! The hotel is supperb and the staff makes us feel like at home. The golf couse, that made me decide for this hotel, is that kind of " courses that you must play once in your life".

Wow. Heaven on Earth. Dream come true. We really enjoyed having the villa next to the snorkelling area. Kids love it. Thanks to luxury escapes for giving all inclusive deal for 5 days. Staff were friendly and very good service.

We came on out honeymoon. We were upgraded to the Tree House Villa which is spectacular! Food and drinks are delicious! We got the all inclusive package which is so worth it. Have deep pockets if you go without it. They were so kind to decorate our villa for our arrival for our honeymoon and I've been feeling special the whole time. The staff are so genuinely friendly and happy all the time. This makes such a difference to your every day life here. Also, every room has a free bike which you can ride around the island on. Alternatively, you can call reception and hire a buggy to take you. Overall, it seems they've thought of everything. A wonderful place to be.

It's very nice here. All day sunshine, 29Grad water temperature, good food and very nice staff.

Wonderful resort. I went here with my husband and our daughter. We stayed in the water villa which was huge. We spent 8 days here. They provided us 3 bicycles for our villas. We biked to the restaurants, to swim at the beach, to do snorkeling. The coral at this resort was incredible. There were many kinds of coral and also huge corals. We found black-tip sharks, sea turtles, many kinds of fish here by just snorkeling from the beach of the resort. There were several restaurants which you could choose to enjoy each day. We had never got bored here. We will come back for sure. We love this resort.

It has been almost two years from my 'first visit' this paradise beneath the equator. Still I didn't get any better resort experience other than this fabulous destination. Shangri-la villingili resort and spa was happened to be my first resort experience in Maldives and the staff, breath taking blue shallow sea, luxury over water villa, golf turf and delicious dishes could have been one of best experience I had in Maldives. Shangri-la located in Addu Atoll which is known to be the bottom most Atoll out of 26 atolls dispersed throughout this island nation and the resort island got a lake, but I am not sure whether it is a natural lake. If I am not mistaken, the highest natural point in Maldives is also located in the same island and it's quite been a thing to climb the highest place inadvertently while you are playing golf. Crossing the equator, swimming along with baby sharks in the shallow sea, watching movies under the stars, riding the bicycle through tree covers and incomparable facilities… this super luxury resort giving enormous leisure experience… Thank you Shangri-la. Wow. What a place! Amazing staff, incredible location and the food… The Shangri La has absolutely nailed it with two of the finest world class Australian chefs money could buy and the Shangri La obviously has very deep pockets. It's the food that made our trip that much more.

Visited the resort in Dec 2017 for our Honeymoon. It was really relaxing and truly an amazing experience.
All the employees at the Resort were courteous and helping in nature. No words can describe the beauty of the Pool Villa that we stayed in. We liked the concept of personal villa host as there was nothing we had to manage regarding activity bookings or restaurant reservations. We would simply inform Villa host about our plan and everything was taken care of.
Water sports & activities were an awesome experience. Never expected sighting 10+ dolphins at a time. Snorkeling experience was also a great fun.
The food is amazing. We visited Javvu and Dr. Ali's restaurants most of the times for breakfast/dinner and really enjoyed each visit. The variety and quality of food is really good.
Even though the resort is located on a small island, 4 days were not enough for us to experience all the activities. Complimentary bicycles add more fun while roaming on the island. Also almost all the expenses on the resort island can be billed to your villa which makes it very comfortable to have a quick bite or a beer without worrying about payment.
With such superb & memorable experience We wish to give more than 5 stars to the resort and highly recommend it.

The place is amazing! Totally worth it! The flight from Malé is long and Maldivian Airlines is really poor! The rooms are great and service also! The bikes are the coolest idea ever! Well done Shangri-la!
I guess Shangri-la can improve in matters of food!
The breakfast is not exceptional, lunch and dinner à lá carte are good! But again I want to say the place is Amazing and I wish I can come back today! And to leave a cool note, the island is around 3km from one side to the other and in my last day at Shangri-la I decide to do a Half Marathon in the island with was a crazy idea but so worth!
So today I can say this was the best place where I ran a Half Marathon!

Great place. Very relaxing. Unlike most other resorts in the Maldives, this island is quite large and has a lot of space. One can cycle around the place. The service and quality of food is outstanding.

Amazing nature, fabulous top notch service. Beautiful rooms. We have the two room beach villas for our family of 5. Large Private pool with ocean view, feels like you are secluded on your own property. Villa 131 is close to snorkeling and main area, highly recommend!

The island where the resort is located is perfectly manicured and it has this feel good feeling. The houses are very well set up and very comfortable. Air-conditioning is working perfectly and the Wi-Fi is very efficient considering where it is located. The service is outstanding, very attentive without being too much. The food is quite nice and the wine and cocktail list is extensive enough to please everyone. The only downside are the prices but that is not specific to this hotel but a common occurrence in the Maldives. As an added bonus, this resort features a 9 holes golf course in a stunning location.

5 star experience all the way from the check-in to the room service. Very friendly and attentive staff. Too bad that we only booked for 4 days; 2 weeks probably would have been better.

A beautiful, relaxing slice of paradise where you can forget all your troubles and truly relax. The facilities and service are excellent. Before I came I worried the Maldives would be too quiet but this resort has changed my mind. It's so calm and relaxing but there are plenty of activities if you want something to do, such as water sports, snorkelling in the reef, golf or other excursions. A wonderful place which I'm already looking forward to coming back to.

I couldn't go to this place, but seems to be like haven. If I get any opportunity, will surely be there.

I went to this resort on Feb 2015 and I had the best hospitality experience ever. The island, the resort and the staff were the best combination a gust could ever have.

Nice view and feel fresh. But only a richman just be there. I wish i'll be there like a richman… hahahaha.
